Tried Gino’s tonight for the first time. Ordered a Large cheese with half meatball. The meatball was done the real NY way, slices of meatballs. The service was fast and friendly. We’ll be back.

Worst customer service and food! First, they mess up on our takeout and gave a sub instead of an entrée. When we called and told them that there was a mistake in the order and politely ask for the difference in the price, a kid that works at the counter said, theres nothing they can do and will not give the difference. We asked to speak to the manager, Richard Cochrane. The kid said he’s just too busy running 3 restaurants and does not have time to take my call. Very careless. They can keep my $ 7. And the food? We ordered a large pizza that looked like a small pie. meatball sub that we mistakenly got had 4 small dried up meatballs on a stale bread and they must have fried the french fries at least 5 times cause it looked and tasted like a pencil. All that for $ 30! Dont waste your money or time with this place.

Gino’s NY Pizza Peachtree Parkway location is awesome, this location, not so much. Whats better at the other location? –The pizza –The service –They serve beer I’m willing to try it again, but if given the choice will head down the road a little further.

Are you kidding me? Just awful. The salad was skimpy and mostly iceberg. The pizza tasted like it was frozen. The service wasn’t bad but it doesn’t matter who is handing you wad of dough with cheap ingredients on it. I would recommend you steer clear of this place.

The owner is from NY and the food shows it. The pizza is great(thin and Sicilian). You can order pizza by the slice. They have GREAT sandwiches and calzones too. When your finished eating you can go next door for authentic Italian ice. He’s from NY as well and the Italian ice is the real deal. I work in the area and we go at least twice a week.

I don’t know what the fuss is about the service at this place. I received A++ Service from the moment I walked in. I wasn’t even expecting great service because that is not something that you expect when you walk into a Pizza Joint in New York. I think the people out here are so spoiled to having good looking places and top notch service that they forget what they even came for(Good Food!!!). The Pizza was good it had a NY look and feel to it. the sauce and cheese was«ok», but the dough made up for it. AND you really can’t beat 99 cent cheese slices, I don’t care where you go. you can tell that all of the ingredients were fresh and not full of processed junk. I will be eating here again!!! hope this clarifies some of the misconceptions of this place

Service… not, food quality… not, Might be a good spot for tasteless pizza kids might eat, but not a place for me. Lasagna was in big quantity, but not a decent quality at all.

If you like thin pizza then you will like Gino’s. I personally like it thicker but sauce was ok. Greek Salad was fair nothing special. The young guy that waited on us was very nice and made up for a just ok meal. Not sure if we would return, there are many other really good NY pizza restaurants to go too.

First off our service was horrible. We were the only ones there. We ask to place the orders for the apps in first while we decide on what pizza to order only to find out when she came back she never put the orders in. The menu claims to be NY pizza but quite the opposite. Our salads taste like it was rinsed in dirty water with store bought dressings. The antipasti was a basic cob salad. The pizzas were undercooked and the pizza margarita tasted like store bought sauce with black peppers, oregano and hopefully that was fresh mozzarella and watery tomatoes with wilted basils. It was the worst thing we had ever tasted. I’m pretty sure we could have gotten better pizza at our local grocery frozen section.

Two strikes you are out. Last time we went to this pizza place when there was only about 5 customers in there they forgot to put our order in. They did apologize and gave us a free appetizer. We decided to try it again tonight after a long day on the golf course. We sat there for 45 minutes after eating our salads and I asked the waitress where our pizza was and yet again the order was not put in. The terrible part to this story is that we were the ONLY people in the restaurant. We got up and left never to return again.

I have given these guys the benefit of the doubt on 4 separate occasions. Service is awful, pizza is ok but nothing to go out of your way for. Did I mention that the service is awful? Even when they are not busy, they can’t seem to pay attention to customers. Last time there, I walked out after 15 minutes of no one even looking in my general direction. The place had only one other table that was active. No excuse for lousy service. If I want to be ignored, I’ll visit my in-laws. Strike 4 for this place.

Tried this place for breakfast two days ago and felt like we were reliving the Essex nightmare all over again. It looks very much the same inside. We were not greeted when we walked in so we sat at a table. We were not greeted at the table so we grabbed our own menu and took a look and decided what to order. After 10 minutes, we left. We were the only customer except one other couple and we were shocked at the last of customer service and felt embarrassed for these people who just opened. When the owner saw us walk out, he looked horrified but with guilt. I am not sure if I will try them again, this place has bad karma. Not a fan of Essex, not a fan of Gino’s. Seems odd for a breakfast place to also serve pizza. Stick to what you’re good at — don’t’ try to do too much.

I was a big fan of the bagels at Essex, which used to be in this location. Gino’s still has bagels, but sadly they do not have scallion cream cheese, which is an absolute must for me if I’m going to kill some carbs in bagel-form. I know that Gino’s isn’t solely a bagel shop, though, so I’m going to be nice about it. We ended up eating in for breakfast since I couldn’t get my bagel the way I wanted it. I opted for an egg-white omelet instead — the meat lovers with bacon, ham, sausage and swiss cheese. Sadly, they also didn’t have wheat toast(white only — yuck), but maybe they’ll change that soon. If they want to keep doing breakfast they might need to. My omelet was delicious, though! For a pizza place that’s trying to add breakfast to keep in line with the place that was here previously, they definitely did an amazing job on my omelet. Amanda, our server, was very attentive and super nice. She told me that they’ve only been open for 2 weeks and are trying to get the breakfast groove down. Since there are so few good breakfast places in Duluth/Johns Creek I hope they can figure it out and make it work. And if they could get some scallions that we could at least throw on top of some plain cream cheese I’d be willing to work with that! If you’re in the area try them out! I’ve heard the pizza is good, so we’ll be back to try it out for ourselves. They have a pretty extensive dinner menu with pastas, entrees, salads and of course the pizza. Oh, and the fiancé had the sesame bagel and said it was decent, so if you don’t mind plain cream cheese you’ll be fine here.
