I tried the cheesesteak and fries. I had high expectations because of the other reviews. Well unfortunately I was very disappointed. The menu reads Philly Cheesesteak. What I got was some sort of Indian cheese steak. It had very unusual spices as did the fries. It wasn’t that bad. It was just not what I wanted or expected. I guess my search for Philly cheese steaks shall continue

You would never know until you walk inside and talk to Steve … Then order … But some of the best Indian food around. Particularly the curry… order the chicken or the fish… it makes no difference. You will be licking you lips for more !

Had to wait way too long to receive a meal that was nowhere close to what I ordered /paid for. Mistakes happen yeah but when I corrected the cook, he confirmed my order, then continued making the wrong thing. Very unpleasant experience

SOOOOOOOOGOOD! This small underrated restaurant is amazing! The food is amazing too! You have to try their philly cheese steak sandwich or their wings. If you are ever thinking about getting some wings for a party then definitely get them from here. Do not get those nasty dry«hot wings» from taco mac.

Dont underestimate this place by its looks, the food is freshly made and the wings are amazing. Takes about 20 mins but the food is well worth it.

What a strange restaurant with no food identity! I think it used to be a Philly sandwich shop years ago and at some point they changed their name to Campus Café even though there is no Campus of any type anywhere near this place. Then the owner decided to start selling Indian food under the«alias» name of Bombay Boyz even though the sign still only says«Campus Café.» Since I am a huge fan of Indian food I decided to try them out since they are close-by and not very expensive. The Indian food was a huge disappointment! Portions were small and the food was bland. I ordered Tandoori chicken, goat masala, and garlic naan. Tandoori chicken was NOT marinated and lacked any rich red/orange color like every other place, As a matter of fact it was very bland and had very little seasoning with absolutely no color to it. It was served as two ¼ chicken pieces with each piece consisting of the leg still attached to thigh — not butchered /trimmed. Because of this each piece was huge and difficult to eat. Since different parts of the chicken cook quicker than others both pieces were burnt and charred black on the outside while the meat closest to the bone was still not fully cooked — gross!!! The Goat Masala was just OK but again kinda bland and unexciting. Small portion and amount of meat seemed skimpy(lots of bones). The order of garlic naan was tiny…4 small pieces and sadly was probably the best part of the meal. I can’t speak for their sandwiches and other non-Indian food items but I won’t ever order Indian food from them again.

Campus Café. The name got me a bit confused on their theme, just enough to make me ask myself, what am I to get? Went by for a quick meal before an appointment since it was near. I got the philly cheesesteak and got the combo. A tad overpriced. Paying over $ 10 was somewhat unsettling. Fries: I give them 1 star. Seemed a bit old even for frozen fries. Philly: 2 stars(not 1 since it was actually cooked after I ordered.) It was not that tasty, not much flavor. It may have been stored too long. The bread was not a pleasant chewiness. The following comment is for the Campus Café owner and whoever it may concern as a business. –I got food poisoning from the food you served to me. There was no way for me to think otherwise since I did not eat since a late breakfast that morning at 10:30am. –PLEASE store your meat safely. I don’t want anything at all from you all. Just want to ask you to please change the way that’s being done. This isn’t an angry post, or else it would be a 1 star and much more anger expressed. It could have been a random event, but the food quality doesn’t show me that I am the only one this may have happened to. I have a strong stomach… I’ve eaten lots of junk in my life… many taco trucks in DT Los Angeles, border tacos in Tijuana, been to rurral Thailand… etc. Please store foods at right temperatures. Thanks!

I came in yesterday for the mushroom cheesesteak. I heard good reviews about this place from friends and i have to agree. The sandwich was tasty and cooked just right. The fries were seasoned and a lot of it. It was pretty good lunch. Today i came back to try the Indian chicken. I ordered the chicken biryani. I will update this review with that experience.

I like the Madras Fish Curry, love the Chicken Korma and Chicken Tikka Masala, Veg Samosa, and Garlic Naan. Portions are very large and both times he’s thrown in rice for no add’l cost. One entrée feeds two souls with a 65% chance of afternoon leftovers. Fast, inexpensive, delicious.

Steve/Satish is originally from Bombay, India and know how to cook this fish called Pomfret which is imported from India. A friend recommended that I go and check it out. I was very happy with this dish. The fish was deep fried in oil with perfection. Soft, Juicy and very tasty. The Pomfret does come with some very soft small bones and if you are from Bombay then your tongue knows how to sift them out and dispose them. He also added some Goan gravy and rice in addition to the dry deep fried pieces. The gravy was tasty and reminded me of having a fish meal in Bombay. He gave me too much quantity alot of which I couldnt finish so I packed it to go and used it for my next meal. His prices are subtantially lower than what I would have paid for in Bombay. I will definately go back for more and recommend to my friends.

For some reason, he calls his Indian menu Bombay Boyz instead of Campus Café. We’ve been here 3 times and have seen his brisk business in cheesesteaks, but our fast food of choice is a good curry. And damn does he make a good curry. The place is a small sandwich shop set up with an open kitchen, run by a couple, and perhaps 5 basic diner tables. Everything is pretty much cooked by the owner, who also covers taking orders. The setup also means that nothing is just sitting out, but he grabs a pot, and premade sauces and cooks on the spot, so it takes about 10 minutes or so. The goat biryani is to die for.(This is odd for me to say because I don’t like rice dishes.) It is intensely herb-y and earthy, a bit on the hot side, and the goat meat is amazingly tender. T The Korma and basic Curry have a healthy heat to them as well as tasting of a wave of spices.(My wife finds this odd as she is not fond of yellow curries.) I could probably live off those three dishes. The minor disappointments so far are the heavy cream based curries. Butter Chicken and Chicken Tikka Masala both seem to lack the tanginess and richness I’ve associated. I almost get the impression that the owner isn’t a big fan of the heavy cream curries himself. That makes me tempted to walk in next time and let him pick. It was his wife who suggested the biryani on our first visit.

I went here for lunch today and only ordered the mutton biriyani so my review is limited in depth. BUT, it was the most succulent dum biriyani, the mutton was soft and flavorful and they had lots of it too! The owners are friendly and nice(free tea, just ‘cos they had some!). I will go back, hopefully to try other dishes!

Awesome indian food! Bombay Boyz is legit! Went to campus café; we ordered samosas as an appetizer and my date had the wings and I got chicken 65 biryani! Amazing! We had a blast and sat outside at a romantic private table. The food was awesome

Found this gem one day in between work shifts, and I’m so glad I did. Johns Creek is known for having slightly pricey eateries. While this isn’t what I would classify as «cheap» it is filling and worth the money you will spend. The cheesesteaks are mmm good. I mean really really good. Everything is cooked on the spot, I had to wait a few minutes before delving into my fries, and when I did I was certainly not disappointed. There’s also a pretty wide variety of food options here, so if you’re tired of the same ol’ panera and honey baked, take a trip here and see for yourself.

What a find! The restaurant has a great Indian menu as well. The owner is from Mumbai and displays«Bombay Boyz» on the front door. We were treated to a freshly prepared lunch by the owner himself which included butter curry and Chicken tikka masala.

This is a rating for Bombay Boyz, which is in the same shop as Campus Café but it looks like there’s not a separate listing for it. The lamp was great – no idea what that sauce was, but oh my! Loved it. The samosa chaat was good too. has strong potential – I’ll be going back for sure. Very glad they added this place as I am not a hoagie or wing eater, but reasonably-priced easy Indian food that tastes good? Bring it on.,

Husband and I tried this place today. He got the Philly works, which was tasty and very heavy on the steak. I got the lamb gyro, which was as delicious as I’ve ever had outside a Mediterranean restaurant. Can’t beat the price. When we go back, which I’m sure we will, we plan to try the Bombay Broz menu(Indo-Chinese fusion).

I’m tempted to give this place five stars based on the fact that this is the best cheesesteak I’ve had in Georgia, but I grew up eating the masterpieces from the Claymont Steak Shop in Claymont, Delaware, so five stars is essentially impossible.(Claymont Steak Shop is the standard, despite claims from a certain Pennsylvania city just a few miles to its north.) Digression over, Campus Café gets it right. What they call a large here wouldn’t even rate a small up north, but they load the meat in liberally, it’s chopped up and tender, and they get the cheese(American) completely melted into the matrix of the steak, rather than just a slice on one side of the sandwich. Plus, sauteed onions come standard, which is my preference. What really sets this place apart, though, is the roll. Usually when I judge a cheesesteak shop, I look for the magical phrase«Amoroso roll» which means they’ve bothered to ship their bread in from that alluded-to certain northeastern city. This is important. Bread is the key to any great sandwich, and a cheesesteak is no different. Crazy thing about Campus Café is, they make their own rolls. Crazy stupid? Or crazy perfect. At this point let me gently point out that the owner of this joint is not from Johns Creek. Or Georgia. Or that particular metropolis where the citizens love like brothers. He’s not even from this hemisphere. Yet somehow, this dude bakes a roll that hit my cheesesteak nostalgia right on the head. His bread is chewy without being tough or crusty, which is exactly what you want. Great sandwich. And like many other Unilocalers have pointed out, the proprietor is a damn nice guy. Gave me a free order of fries. First cheesesteak I’ve had down South that made me want to go back for another. Which I will.

Decided to make a trip here thanks to Scoutmob. 50% off, up to $ 8 is a good start to lunch. I’ve driven by this place so many times, just never noticed it! So here’s the breakdown: Upon entry: This place looks like it used to be a Philly Connection. After talking to the owner, he confirmed it was. He ditched the Philly Connection connection in 2006. Kinda surprised that he was able to stay in business through THEGREATRECESSION(dum duh duuuuuuuummmm). Doesn’t hurt that he’s in a great location with lots of businesses and expensive homes close by! The place was pretty clean, you can tell the owner puts a lot of effort into keeping the place looking nice. The only problem I had… the place was just so friggin hot! No AC? Just a couple of fans on a very hot summer day? The staff/ordering: The owner was the only one there. He was very nice, and very patient with our order. It didn’t take him very long to have everything ready for us, cooked to order. He even put on the Euro Cup for us, although I suspect he was interested in watching it as well. The food: The cheesesteaks were really good! They were better than most places I’ve gone to down here. It was the right amount of beef, bread, flavor, and cheese. The onions weren’t too mushy, and the mushrooms didn’t come out of a can! The wings were good too… we got the mild, and it had a good tang to it. Even the kids cheesesteak was pretty big and flavorful! Verdict: The bottom line is value. Three cheesesteak combos and 10 wings was around $ 40. Take away $ 8 from Scoutmob, and it wasn’t too bad. The heat in the establishment really did take away from our enjoyment. But even with the heat, we really enjoyed the food. Good portions for a fair price, added value with the coupon, and a wonderfully friendly owner. We will return… hopefully to a much cooler dining area!

Really good Cheese steak! Everyone that I’ve sent there has loved it. Small diner like atmosphere with soccer on the TV. The owner is almost always there.

You can still get a hot meal for $ 5 – 10 in Johns Creek, right between two upscale country clubs. There’s nothing pretentious about this joint, and the gentleman running the place was very nice to us. I had a 10″ veggie hoagie($ 6.99), which was filled with hot grilled vegetables and cold lettuce and tomato. Jodi had a cheesesteak. Neither of us liked the white American«cheese» very much. At seven bucks for the hoagie already, I doubt I’d come here if the prices went up to accommodate real provolone. But it’s a hot meal at a relatively reasonable price for this neighborhood.
