Sugar’n Spice Bake Shop

I found this little shop one day while stopping by the train station. First time in we both got egg sandwiches and a pastry. I got the iced cinnamon roll while the wife got a glazed jelly filled. As a DEVOTED fan of Dunkin, I have to admit, I prefer these donuts. Something about the way they are made just gives them a flavor the big chains can’t touch. If it was closer to my house I would be in trouble as we only stop by when we are in Jesup for errands. Very, very addictive.
We also have picked up local honey sold in the store too.

I went to the bakery to pay for my wedding cake. I walked in at 1055am and there was a line of customers. I finally got up to the counter to pay for the cake, and also wanted to order a breakfast sandwich. The menu says they serve until 2pm. The girl looked at me cross eyed, then at the clock. It was 1101am. She went to the back where I could see her speaking to three people that were just sitting around in the kitchen. She came back and told me they stopped serving breakfast at 1100am. «1 minute, come on? The menu says 2pm.» Sorry she said. So I paid for my cake and left hungry.
Southern hospitality is an antiquated myth. This kind of thing happens all the time in small South Georgia towns. I went to the bakery to make my wedding cake because it was a local store and I like to support local businesses. They couldn’t even make me a sandwich at 1101am. I’m never going back.

The donuts and donut holes are awesome! So is the pumpkin bars. In fact everything I have tried has been good. I definitely recommend Sugar’n Spice when you need a sweet fix.

Sugar and Spice has some of the best donuts I have ever tasted and I am a huge donut fan. The donuts are fresh. They are not greasy and they melt in your mouth.
I first tasted these donuts in a meeting and they were so good I would drive from Savannah to Jesup just for donuts. I even got my sister hooked on them. These are the greatest donuts EVER!!!
