Used to visit this place regularly, with my experience –watch out guys,“They are selling product which are expired”. Store Management doesn’t care about expiration dates! Stay Away from old stuff and be Cautious!

Avoid, avoid, avoid, I made the mistake of going in for the 2nd time as I got a parking right across… big mistake. There is nothing stacked correctly, rotten, dried vegetables. Wanted from frozen bread from the freezer section, they had piled stuff in so bad, opening the door caused pretty much everything to fall out, of course there was no one to check/help, somehow managed to put everything back in. There was a guy working the vegetable section, rude, very rude. The review by Saurabh is spot on, the staff is rude, the girl at the register extremely unfriendly. Now I know why it is always empty when Patel brothers down the block is crowded.

Oh man, where do I even begin! Wish I could give a 0 rating. First off, they sell old, expired dairy stuff! I bought a 5-pound box of curd only to find out the next day that the ‘sell by’ date was 2 weeks ago! And then, when I take the curd back to the store, this lady at the register throws SO much attitude! I keep the curd at the counter, to which she gives me this weird look and tells me to take it to the back of the store and keep it back in the fridge as if its my job. As a store, YOU are supposed to make sure you’re not selling expired stuff, at least not the dairy items. Then, instead of apologizing, she begins to argue with my wife and later tells her staff«chadd rahe hain ye»! How dare you! It was my 4th time to this store and every single time I have found her extremely rude and arrogant toward many of her customers! Wake up, asshole. There’s too much competition around you. no wonder your store is always deserted whereas your neighbors are apparently doing much better.

I’ve only been in here a couple times, but I like it. It’s easy to miss, but the store is bigger than you would imagine from the outside. It does feel small, though, because they have so much groceries and such. I don’t know if it’s the lighting or crowding feeling or what, but it does come off as a little dingy even though I didn’t actually see anything dirty or messy. That being said, they have a pretty good variety of stuff and good prices. Of course, it’s primarily Indian food and groceries, but there’s a lot of products that everyone can use like fruit, veggies, rice, spices, drinks, etc. I just went grocery shopping earlier in the day, and now I wish I waited on some of the produce because they had much better prices. 6 lemons for $ 1, 6 limes for $ 1, 3 oranges for $ 1, etc. And they looked good and fresh considering it’s a snow day in March. I would come back again.

The entrance to this grocery store is pretty inconspicuous since its tucked in between various other stores on Newark Ave. The store itself is not as small as it looks from outside but whatever space they have is chock full of Indian groceries which makes it difficult to traverse and makes you feel trapped. The prices seem slightly less than the other Indian stores in the area(for some items). The day I made a stop here, there was an unpleasant smell in the store akin to rotting veggies but since most everything in sight seemed fresh, I have no idea where that came from. Its not exactly the cleanest establishment and I plan to return only if I am absolutely pressed for time(since this is the closest grocery to my place).
