I’ve been coming to Santo Domingo since I was in HS, I’m almost 30 now. I think that says enough. I trust these ladies with my hair, and they are very kind and patient with their customers. I’ve bought my daughter before and she was 4 years old with natural hair and didn’t shed a tear! Love love love this salon! I travel from orange to come here since I moved out of JC! But I would def take the short drive to them !

These ladies know how to do a mean doobie. I’ve visited during the week and on the weekend, got the same good service both times. The price points are really good and the staff are very attentive and friendly.

$ 40 para una secada. Por favor. Ni que fuera en Hollywood. $ 40 for a blowdry?!? Get the fuck outta here. Nut jobs.

If you want a great wash, deep condition, doobie &/or blow-out, then this is the place. They arch eyebrows very well. I’m not fond of all the glue they use on lashes but it comes out ok. Other than that, I would not recommend them. They can not style, cut, color or perm hair. I’ve seen them demolish trims. They torture weaves and ponytails. They’ve permed the entire head instead of just roots. I would strongly suggest you go somewhere else for the upkeep of your hair. I ONLY go to them for a good wash & blow-out.

When I first moved to Jersey City some years ago, I used to go back to New York when my hair needed some TLC. After a while, I realized that I needed to find a place close to home. Salon Santo Domingo was suggested to me, and I’m so happy I went! They take excellent care of your hair — they are knowledgeable, use great products, and truly listen to their customer’s requests. They also provide great hair advice! My hair has only improved since I have been going there. I may occasionally go to other places for a wash and set; however, when it comes to complex treatments and cutting my hair, I only go to Salon Santo Domingo!
