History

Established in 2005.

Established in 2005 Pole Position Raceway was created in September 2005 in Corona, California, by co-​founders Jason Williams and Ken Faught. The growth and expanding popularity of indoor karting, combined with first-​class operations, have made Pole Position Raceway one of the fastest growing companies in the sport. During expansion, Williams and Faught teamed up with Brad Mark for the Las Vegas and Summerlin tracks. Now Pole Position Raceway has eight tracks in 6 different locations across the country. Two in southern California, two in Nevada, two in Texas, one in Oklahoma, one in Missouri one in Jersey City, one in Syracuse, one in Buffalo and now one in Long Island with others planned throughout North America.

I’ve been here two times, it is a fun activity to do with friends although I feel like it should have something more things to do, my friends and I went and weren’t there for too long if it had more things to do clients could hang out longer. Staff is ok some friendly some rude like in many places, the welcoming staff are not so good, they make you feel as if you are not welcome there. But overall the experience was fun.

This was the best Go-​Kart experience I have ever had!
The karts are imported from Italy and go up to 45mph! Every time I’ve gone go-​karting in the past I’ve been the pedal to the metal type. I thought for sure this would be no different, but boy was I wrong! These karts zoom around the track and you have to slow down or you’ll crash. Seriously! They go so fast! It’s awesome!
The place is on the expensive side with $ 35 per ride (which I believe is 8 – 9 laps) but if you check in on Unilocal you get $ 5 off and did I mention these are the fastest freaking go-​karts in all the land? So… you should definitely go check these out!
Also on Mondays they put their two tracks together to make one enormous track!

amazing experience. definitely worth a try. Unilocal also provides a deal for first timers which reduces the cost significantly. The cars are really well maintained and good handling. it also has nice arcade games to play around while you wait for your turn.

This is the coolest place for a birthday party. I had my son’s 10th bday party here and it was a blast. The racing part itself is safe for kids. We had the party area all for ourselves and it was huge. Ashley was our party hostess and she did an excellent job! The kids had so much fun! Their food served is also very good. We are coming back here for more. I recommend having the 2 races when you have a party because just one race is not enough. On the first race, the kids are still nervous but by the second one they are already pros.

I love Go-​Karts and Pole Position Raceway is by far the best place I have ever tried it. First thing I noticed is that it’s indoors, which is awesome because you can go year-​round. The second thing I noticed was that it’s HUGE. They have two tracks and each lap is a quarter mile. Also, on Monday’s they combine the two tracks into one giant one.
The Go-​Karts themselves are what I liked the most. They were incredible. The handling was top notch and they could reach a speed of 45mph. The Go-​Kart and well-​designed racing track truly made for an incredible experience. I cannot wait to go back!

Great place to take the kids, i had a large group of 8 kids ages 9 to 15. We walked in on a saturday afternoon shorlty after lunch time. First time, so i jad no idea that i could have registered online to avoid the crowds, even worst i didnt check my Unilocal app, so i never saw the discount they had for the day :(
I will say this, it is expensive to do the races, on average food and admission to at least 1 race will be about $ 45 to $ 50 per child. All the kids had a great time and without a doubt we will come back well prepared to avoid the long lines. Unfortunately was the chaperone for the day, so i was not able to check in to one of the races, perhaps next time I go i will try it.

Imported Italian Carts racing around an 80,000 sq ft warehouse just minutes from the New York City Skyline seems almost to good to be true. Let me tell you that it exists and it’s an amazing rush. The carts have on board batteries and electric engines that provide almost immediate acceleration and excellent braking for the tight turns. As fast as these carts can whip around a corner its nice to know that there’s an actual person monitoring the course and remotely controlling the carts when necessary to insure everyone’s safety. I can’t wait to pitch this at work as a team building event, what better than racing neck and neck with some of your co-​workers.
Also I must say excellent customer service and overall experience, one request to the founders would be to investigate an indoor moto-​cross park. That would be bananas…

Good time! The only Downside is the wait time to race, and I wish the tracks as a little wider to make it easier to pass people. During my race a few people turned sideways causing me to brake and people slammed into me. Ouch! Overall it was fun and something different to do. Would go back again! Oh, and we were able to get $ 5 off just for checking into Unilocal!Thanks Unilocal

I love to go fast and pole position fulfilled that want. Wait was a little long but I also went on a Saturday but they def occupy your time with video games but that only last so long. Overall good experience if I had to complain about anything was the wait but I would def come back.

So maybe this activity just wasn’t my thing but I did not enjoy myself :(
–Firstly, thanks to Unilocal for the $ 8.00 discount because I would’ve been really pissed has I paid $ 30.00 for this short 10 minute race
–Secondly, I was only allowed to use half the track, so I basically drove around in the same (small) route, which got really old really fast.
–Lastly the customer service was only ok, they are definitely just trying to get you in and out. When I got in my car I told the gentlemen that my legs felt too cramped and he really didn’t help me adjust my seat
Overall just wasnt my cup of tea, I would recommend visiting a larger location with a larger, more exciting track.

I purchased a Unilocal deal a few months back ($ 22 for 1 adult race) and just used it today. I’m going to keep this one short. The place is very clean and well managed, however the track is very short, and there are a lot of turns, which means you don’t have enough stretches where you can pick up speed. You have to wear a helmet, which some people may not like. I didn’t. But I understand safety is important. Bottom line and most importantly is I paid $ 44 for 2 people and we were on the track for just 5 minutes. Service was great but I wouldn’t return.
Ps. Wear closed toed shoes. I forgot to bring sneakers, so I had to rent a pair. You pay $ 5 and it comes with a pair of comfortable sneakers and brand new socks that you take with you as a souvenir when you’re done. Haha.
I didn’t try any food or drinks, and we didn’t use the restrooms so I can’t comment there. Overall very clean place with friendly people, but overpriced.

To be able to drive they direct you to an iPad to make an account. This isn’t really something I have a huge issue with, but they ask for way too much personal information. Why do they need all my information including my email address just to sit through one race? By the way the email address is a mandatory field. If you are older or just don’t want to give it out I guess you can’t race. I also don’t like that just by being there you opt in to have photo and video of you distributed and used for their advertising. I haven’t seen anyone talk about this so just be warned.
Anyway we paid $ 30 for a roughly 8 min race which was fun. It’s disorganized though. We kept asking when our number was up because we never heard any announcements. Finally it was and the race itself was fun but 1. no one told me you can change the position of the seat and I’m glad I figured it out myself because the wheel was digging in my knees. 2 The helmets don’t any slits for your mouth so the inside of mine started getting fogged up at some point. 3. The person waving the flags seemed to have no idea what he was doing and it wasn’t clear to the drivers in my race why they were getting a black flag, why their car was stopped and so on.
I had fun but for the «everything else» I’m giving this place a low rating.

My boyfriend and I went go karting here on a Saturday at 3pm or so. When we arrived, there was a good amount of people but by no means crowded. We were surprised to find out that it was an hour wait. We drove around 50 miles to get here so we really had no choice but to wait. There were plenty of ways to entertain ourselves since there was an arcade. We quickly got hungry while waiting and they served pizza which they got delivered from a local pizzeria. They do not have a food court, which is disappointing because you would think waiting for over an hour they would be able to provide food.
An hour wait turned into an hour and thirty minutes. You were supposed to wait for an announcement for your heat, but the speaker system was barely audible. Good thing that when you sign up you are able to get text notifications when it nears your heat. If it wasn’t for the text, we would have missed our turn.
When it was our turn, we had to watch a quick 5 minute instructional video. Then our kart assignment is flashed onto a screen and we had to find the number on our kart. I highly suggest you wear sneakers as it was pretty hard to press on to the pedal in flats. Overall, it was a fun time, despite the wait. You have ten minutes on the race track and the kart really picks up! It was fun and definitely recommend this place but maybe come at a less crowded time. My boyfriend and I only bought one race but we realized afterwards that we should have at least bought two. And now that we are more aware of how the process works, we will be prepared when we come a second time!

I went here based on a few friends suggestions on a beautiful Saturday with my girlfriend.
This place is freaking cool. We used our Unilocal checkin deal and got 1 adult race for 23 dollars… A bit pricey, but for karts claiming to go 45mph, I was ready to buy in.
The wait was a little long, it was over an hour, which seemed odd because it wasn’t too crowded. Luckily, there was so much to do, such as play in the arcade. They also have a four person air hockey table which is pretty freaking cool!
Once our heat was announced, we watched a safety video, popped on a helmet and got ready. The heat is about 10 minutes and there are a mix of sharp and wide bends and long straight aways. These cars go fast!
This place was really fun, but I would suggest a better way of notifying guests of the current heats… The PA system is barely audible. Also, maybe get a food court, theres a decent amount of traffic instead, I think they could capitalize on selling food rather than the pizza delivery they offer.

Okay so I FINALLY got a chance to try this spot out. Last time I was here was in April 2014 when I bought the Unilocal deal for $ 22. We came on a Saturday afternoon (group of 4) and was told that it would be a TWO hour wait to race AFTER we filled out the info saying if we break a leg while racing, they’re not responsible! It was too late in the day and we weren’t planning on being there all night so we said let’s try it again at a later date earlier in the day when it’s less packed
FAST FORWARD to today. New group of 4… we all have the Unilocal deal. Came in right after work so we got here about 430 and were told there was only 1 race ahead of us. Okay COOL. Improvement from my last experience. We get called about 10 minutes later. They have you watch this 5 minute instructional video of dos and donts while racing and then youre told to find a helmet that fits your head. Don’t get me started on that my head could BARELY fit the XL lol My biggest concern was that he said the race was only about 8 minutes. Excuse me? Sigh.
So we do the race with these 3 random guys and of course for the 1st 3 laps I’m scared shitless. Who knew 45 miles per hour outside of a CAR felt like 100mph lol I end up in last place bc of course I dont get the hang of it until the END. It literally felt like 5 minutes. Awesome location, awesome track but I really wish they gave you at least 15 minutes to ride per race purchased.(They give you the option to buy addl races) I would have been LIVID if I waited 2 hours to be told your race would only last 5 minutes.
So yeah, thats my rant!

How legit you ask?
Wait time was 2 hours at 9pm on a Saturday night.
Because it’s so new, the place is very clean, staff seem nice and helpful, and well-​constructed (two huge tracks), excellent equipment etc.
Around the indoor race track there are seats where you can view the action. You can either choose 35 mph or 45 mph race. Costs about $ 30.
Great spot for a group of friends celebrating a bday, chillin, dates. or anyone wanting bragging rights.
5 stars would’ve been if they actually served food because the struggle was real waiting for our turn. Only options were candy, soda and water. (Come on you can do better than that).

I came here with a large group for a birthday celebration. Since it was a large group and everyone had to travel a distance, we were late for our booking but the staff was very accommodating. After everyone arrived, we were guided into a large private room area with catered food and fridges of unlimited drinks. There were tables and comfortable couches for everyone to hangout between sets on the racetrack.
Before going on the tracks, they make you watch a tutorial/​safety video that was very beneficial to us. After that everyone had to put on these head socks and choose a helmet that’ll fit their head size. I do wish there were more helmets so I won’t have to use three different helmets for each round. After each round, they’ll print out the stats for each driver to show how they drove. The time between each round was fair and allowed me enough time to rest and calm my overexcitement.
I’m not sure which package we went for but we had three rounds. As someone that does not drive, I was put on 35mph. The whole experience was amazing. The winners receive ribbons and everyone received a tshirt souvenir.
As I was leaving, I told myself I will definitely want to come back again.
