Why is it so hard to get beer in Jersey? I have to be constantly reminded that Jersey doesn’t sell beer in supermarkets, or bodegas. Geez. A decent liquor store is difficult to find in JC Heights. Rarely can you find craft beer & a great selection of wine until Palisade Wine & Liquors, a response to the gentrification taking place in the Heights. It’s even right next door to an art gallery! Ha. But I have to hand it to them, the place is industrial looking (in a cool, inviting way) and houses a bunch of beers (craft, German, cheap, etc.). sorry I’m not into the craft beer craze… but they also have liquors and most importantly many wines, from different regions! All fairly priced and given to you with a smile.

The owner contacted me to apologize for the bad service I received, which was nice. He explained that he was not there the day I was refused delivery, and would speak to the manager that was on duty.
He assured me they deliver to my area of town, and in no way should have been turned down for my home delivery request.
I have been there since, and have had excellent service every time.

Large selection of wines and beers. They also have a wine deal where you get 10% off with purchase of 3 bottles, 15% off for 6 bottles and 20% off for 12 bottles. If you’re someone who likes to stock up, it’s a pretty good deal. They also have mix and match 6 packs of beer where you can pick different beers for your 6 pack. Great for someone looking to try new varieties. Great local liquor store. Friendly staff. No parking lot, street parking only.

The best in the area. Always friendly and willing to help find whatever you need. There is a new woman working there that seemed to know her stuff.
My wife and I aren’t wine experts at all but they seem to have a nice selection and always have want we want.
Beer selection is my only issue. I’m not a fan of IPA’s and unfortunately IPA’s make up most of their selection recently.
Overall this is my go to place and it’s in walking distance. Bonus!

I went around the corner expecting a bare bones selection with high prices. Wrong and wrong. The beer selection is tremendous, especially considering the size of the store. I had plenty of treats for my eyes to feast upon. The prices were not killer either. I’m keeping this place in my back pocket if I need a booze run on short notice.

Maybe I am just in a mood for a change, but I really liked their selection. Really fantastic beer selection (Old Chub scotch ale and Six point IPA), unmatched anywhere in Jersey city except for Super Buy Rite. Definitely the best beer selection in the Heights. I wasn’t able to check out their wine selection this visit, but I’m looking forward to coming back. Great customer service and super friendly.
