New Bridge Laundry

Mike and the crew at New Bridge Laundry offer an amazing service. The pick up and delivery of your clothes is awesome in and of itself, but the fact that their turnaround is so quick AND they text you to remind you to leave your clothes out for pick up. A+ service all the way around. They are no more expensive than any quality dry cleaning service.

Two separate times now that I’ve walked my bag of laundry here over an hour past their apparent opening time and it was closed. I don’t like the machines at Hamilton Laundry as much, but I’ll be going there from now on.

Update: Do not give your money to these people. Another reviewer claimed that they harassed them by text, and I would like to say that must have been true.
Instead of messaging me and offering to fix my ruined shirt in exchange for taking down this negative review, Mike seems to have had one of his employees text me to try to convince me that this is the wrong business, to trick me into taking it down. However I very clearly have their website bookmarked from when I first found them, I have their New Bridge Laundry bag that they provided, plenty of reviewers have made the same «mistake» that this is Mike’s business and not some other guy’s «new business», and there is no other New Bridge Laundry on Unilocal.
PS if they want the laundry bags back, they can contact me to pick them up, but again all I want is my favorite shirt fixed.

My recommendation is to not use this service. The reason is outlined in the 3 month timeline below. The ¹⁄₅ rating is to attract attention, but isn’t inaccurate — I’ve been getting better service from another company with no mistakes for over 3 months now.
This is not some overly emotional review from another spoiled consumer, but an accurate account of the events that transpired during my experience with New Bridge Laundry. I mention the good as well as the not so good.
I understand that it is possible each problem and mistake was just on unlucky coincidence or mistake piled onto the next, and like I mention below, Mike the owner did try to make up for a mistake once, but dropped the ball and the biggest problem has yet to be fixed. Perhaps he just lost my number.
Here is what happened & when:
⁸⁄₃ — Submitted online inquiry and made contact with the owner. He visited my house personally to pick up my first bag of laundry. I specify very strongly on this day that I do not want bleach to come near or touch my clothing. Mike says no problem.
⁸⁄₅ — Delivery is fine. Laundry is clean and perfectly folded. Dry cleaning nicely done. We have 1 more successful pickup after this, and after that I am on a series of business trips and have no need for laundry service.
⁹⁄₂₈ — Mike asks if I need a pickup, I say yes for laundry & dry cleaning and he confirms. I go out on another short business trip.
⁹⁄₃₀ — I come back to find that my laundry was not picked up. Needed the dry cleaning for work the next day, didn’t have anything clean to wear. Not the end of the world, but I text the owner to let him know and ask if he can do anything to get my laundry done.
He apologizes and comes to pick up the next morning, and offered 10% off. Additionally gave me a Starbucks gift card
¹⁰⁄₂ — I get the laundry as promised, and started to unpack it so I could prepare to go to a concert… however notice something. My favorite shirt — the shirt for the band that I was about to go see — had been covered in large bleach stains. Miraculously it was the only piece of clothing that was damaged.
I report this to the owner and ask him to fix it next time — would only take some black dye to repair. I send him a picture as well. He reports he has to look at it in person, and is not sure as to why or how bleach would get in a color load.
He never texts me again for a pickup after this. Maybe he figured he lost my business just with that mistake, or maybe he just didn’t want to go to the trouble of fixing bleach stains. I’m sure if he wants to set the record straight and take care of this shirt he’ll contact me to have me edit my review & rating.

I HATE putting clothes away but the way they sorted and folded it literally makes it take like under 5 minutes. I love how it’s sorted into different bags. I was afraid it’d be one big bag which is useless cuz when you open it, it topples over. But that is not the case. I called them to inquire about the service and he was literally at my house 30 minutes later.
I will literally use this every week.
Update. So I switched to JC Eco laundry and here’s why. Not once, not twice, but 3 times I received other people’s laundry in my own which leaves me to believe that my own things have probably gone missing too I’m just too absent minded to notice. Also, not sure what detergent they were using or maybe it’s just cuz they don’t use fabric softener but all the lace and thin materials on my clothes were ripping because they were SO starchy feeling. I had to throw out like 3 pairs of underwear and my favorite shirt. Nevermind.

I moved from CA and was in search of a good Dry Cleaning & Laundry place. Finally my search is over! Jose is a very nice person/​business owner who knows how to take care of the customers. I got the discount even though the deal was over. great job on cloths. next day delivery delayed for 30 mins which is fine, but he took care of it and delivered at my home! much appreciated customer service… would always recommend this place.

Whether you’re busy working or studying, it’s always a hassle to find time to do laundry or dry cleaning and it just piles up! And after trying multiple cleaners in Hoboken & JC I’ve finally found one I can count on with an owner I trust.
Mike picked up my order while working around my schedule and had my 3 giant bags cleaned in less than a week. Not to mention, the price could not have been beaten and the quality was great!
I’ve had many bad experiences before where I was either overcharged or my garments came back ruined; everything looked pristine and it was delivered on time.
So glad to have finally found a cost effective, efficient, and quality business to trust my clothes with!

So my cleaning gurus (Maid in JC) left me an introductory coupon to try these guys out and I tucked it into a drawer and quickly forgot about until I returned from a long Labor Day Weekend vacation, opened the suitcase, stared at the big ***mess*** of multi colored clothes in the suitcase, had a good cry and remembered that I had a coupon. Sorry for the run on sentence, Grammar Police.
My call was answered by Mike, the owner, and I immediately knew that I was in good hands. He and his team picked up, laundered and folded every single item with amazing preciseness. My clothes have never been this clean since mom did my laundry in grade school.
And the kicker? He actually LOVES doing laundry!
I started scheduling weekly pick ups and have gained so much free time back — it costs less than it did when I did it in my building myself.
Love this company!

Just tried this laundry service a few days ago and WOW! These guys are extremely professional, efficient, and timely. Great price too considering NYC is a few minutes away. I spoke directly with the owner Mike. He gave me the breakdown and picked up my laundry the very next day! Working full-​time and going for my post-​grad leaves me absolutely no time to do laundry. Great service! I have no complaints. I will DEFINITELY be using New Bridge Laundry’s service from now on.

This guy is crazy! Customers beware! If you post negative review, he will begin harassing you via text message. I’ve never seen anything like this. I had to call my bank just to make sure there wasn’t any attempted fraudulent activity. Really scary! Never again! Anyone interested can contact me for screen shots of text messages or I will post if I can. I’ve since found a new laundry service.

The owner recently contacted me and explained why he was unable to get back to me until now — truly understandable. He also apologized and offered to make up the service.
I have increased my start rating for this business, as, owing to the owner’s attentiveness, I do believe that this was a glitch of some sort. Additionally, as I mentioned earlier, they are extremely flexible; for example, they added my building to their route as an exception. I would consider using the service again in the future and would recommend to others to try.

Their Brand Name: «A Standard of Quality You can Trust «, is unbelievably true. We get pick up reminders and drop off thank you notes! Their services are the best. No chemical smells on laundry and dry cleaning (they do both for us)!.. Mike truly cares, understand customer service and it shows!

What an amazing concept! I had all of my laundry picked up from my apartment door and returned 2 days later, perfectly folded and sorted, smelling delightful! Everything was done by Michael directly, super responsive and professional. The price is affordable, cheaper than walking to the nearest wash and fold!

Everything you will read about this service it true — and then some! Extremely high-​quality, both the service they provide and the way my clothes are cleaned and returned.
It may seem like having your laundry picked-​up and delivered is an indulgence. It’s not! Here’s why:
For my normal weekly amount of laundry, New Bridge is 10 cents cheaper than the laundry mat on my street (Willow St. here in Hoboken). And, on top of the lower price, there is pick-​up/​delivery AND they use quality name brand detergents (unlike the chemical-​y smells that I’ve gotten used to from my local laundromats.)
Besides sending my regular dirty laundry, I’ve also been including «clean» laundry from previous washes at other laundromats — it comes back so much fresher, it smells so much better, and it’s folded with such care and precision. And my button-​down shirts are even hung on hangers for me!

I was a little hesitant to send out my laundry for pick up service but after trying New Bridge there is no going back. Screw getting manicures, this is my new weekly treat to myself. Pick & Delivery is free, they have premium detergent so your clothes don’t come back smelling like some funky cheap fabric softener, and everything is folded so beautifully I didn’t want to take my clothes out of the bag! I worked many years in retail and my folding skills couldn’t come close to New Bridge’s.
The owner Mike, is great to work with and very hands on. He even shot me a text after my clothes were dropped off at my apt. And he isn’t too bad on the eyes either ladies ;) ;)
What’s not to love?

The service provided has been exemplary.
I have been using the service now for 3 months — I get a text on Monday to ask whether I need pickup on Tuesday, leave laundry in bags provided outside my door, and then it gets returned perfectly clean, folded (or hung) o Thursday. Brilliant service, excellent value for money. They will do ad-​hoc one off collections if you have a large load (eg after vacation).

Fairly expensive at $ 1 a pound for pick-​up/​delivery, but the quality of work was great my first time using them.
They also give $ 15 off first time, so give it a shot!

Definite the equivalent to white glove service when it comes to laundry service.
Called and my clothes were picked up next morning and brought back on the same day in the evening.
The clothes smelt clean and were perfectly folded. They even sent dress shirts on hangers.
The prices are reasonable also.

Great service. Consistently checks in, lets me know about new offerings and checks if I need a pick-​up.
