I have been looking for a salon for years that would be able to help me achieve my desired color. No salon could do this for me. My coworker referred me to Lavish Hair Studio and told me to go to see Minx. Upon meeting Minx for the first time, we hit it off right away. She was very friendly and nurturing. She made me feel comfortable right away. I explained to her what I wanted to accomplish with regard to my hair (my first vivid color) and she was detailed and knowledgeable in explaining the process to me. With great dedication, she was able to make my vision come to life!!! I would highly recommend this salon especially for those clientele that are very meticulous with how they want their hair done. Highly satisfied with the service!

The owner (Nico), the staff. All very good people, great atmosphere. Adria is ILL with the cut & color, she has cut my mom, daughter, aunt, grandmother and poodle (no im playing). In all seriousness, come check them out. Located in one of the hottest locations all of Jersey has to offer. Dope place.

I came to Lavish to get my hair cut to a lob from very long and thick hair. I had never gone so short and was nervous but read all the great reviews on here about the salon and decided I wanted to go for it. «Minx» (Ivette) did an AMAZING job. Everyone who was working there was also extremely warm, talkative, and friendly. I’m absolutely in love with my cut and have gotten so many compliments. I will be back and will be recommending this spot to all my friends! Thank you!

Adria is just SO awesome. I got my hair cut and first ever highlights here and I love it. Definitely recommend this place to anyone whose looking for some fun and good change.

Love this place! A friend recommended Joanna, and that’s who I went to! my hair needed a cut and dye. she gave me exactly what I wanted and I couldn’t beat the prices, the atmosphere and the. m hairstylist-​Joanna! I will definitely come to her again!

I’m not sure why it’s taken me this long to post a review… perhaps it’s because i don’t want to share my secret wonderful salon with anyone! So, i went from not getting my hair done professionally for over 4 years to getting my hair colored, cut and styled 3 times by Minx (and Herm for my undercut designs) in the past 3 months! I absolutely LOVE this place… the stylists are professional, in love with the craft and do an amazing job.
I went from having standard light brown ‘highlights’ with an average layered cut, to sporting a bad@$$ side undercut with purple highlights on black hair. Upon initial consult, Minx took the time to thoroughly interview me over the phone… asking me personal questions — not for the sense of meddling, but to gain a perspective of who i am (and match it to what i was looking to do)…i sent her a pic of my before and my to-​be-​done pic… and she delivered! Her hands are magic. Totally go find her! Price and value to march it all.

Lavish is a funky, laid-​back salon with talented stylists. Arian always gives me a great cut and style. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I always go on Unilocal prior to going to a salon, restaurant, etc. for the first time. When I saw this place had great reviews I figured I would give it a try and walk out being happy. Adrienne went above and beyond my expectations and I’m so happy with how my hair came out. I had a groupon and they were upfront about what would be considered extra (special cutting, etc.) She was very professional, really polite, easy to have a conversation with, and my hair looks amazing.
Will defintley be back :)

I took my very reluctant 11 year for his haircut. He hates cutting it! The moment we walked in, they made him feel at ease. When it was over, he loved it and even thanked me for «forcing“him to go. He finally has a very modern cut and it really brings out his good features. Of course, I’m not biased or anything. I’m very happy I found this place and I’m getting my hair highlighted and cut next week.

I am very happy with my hair style by Arin today. I got a full sew in weave using Indiques coil curl. I have been searching to get someone who was into style and hair care. He definitely delivered. He listened to my request and made sure he understood what I was looking for. The service from all the staff was very friendly, the shop was clean and all the other stylist also seemed very talented. Thanks to Indique team for sending me to Arin. I also appreciate how diverse the staff is. They can do all types of hair. Highly recommend this place.

TBH I was a bit nervous because the last time I went to a non-​African American stylist was probably 10 years ago. That was how long I needed to recover from that experience. I think times are changing though, and schools are getting better and that depending on the population of an area, your stylist is more or less likely to know what they’re doing.
After not having straightened my hair professionally for more than a year, I was ready to change it up.
When I walked in, and Adrienne was open, I had to check the vibe because I was not about to be scarred for life lol. She wasn’t shook so I gave her a chance. I’m glad that I did!
Adrienne took her time, listened to my suggestions, was patient with my million and one questions, and my hair came out smooth and pretty. Now my hair has a shape and movement and will look good curly or straight. Add to this the great price, and I was a happy camper!
My only note for those coming from traditional African American salons– there wasn’t a Marcel iron set in sight, so if that’s the level of heat you’re used to, it’s not happening here.

I went to this place because I needed my hair to be reshaped (all my layers had grown out). I usually dread getting a haircut because at many places they take off more inches than i would have liked, but Lavish got it right. Got my hair cut by Arian and he did a great job. Easy to talk to, and he understood what I wanted. Would definitely come back for another cut.

I rarely review, but must share how happy I am with my hair after visiting Lavish. I randomly walked in months ago, because I was walking by and ended up having a consult with Ivette. She took the time, listened, gave me options and zero pressure. I went back for a trim a good month later and then color, another 2
months later. She was so patient, professional, listened and tried to understand me before touching my head. She insisted I walk out that door happy, and she delivered. She even followed up the following day.
It is hard to please me, I’m never happy and a pain to deal with when it come to my hair, but I went dark after being blonde for 5+ years and I am so happy. Love the salon, love the vibe, the other stylists are super friendly and seems pretty talented as well. So happy to find such an awesome, fun, affordable salon in my neighborhood.

I had a wonderful haircut from Adria here! She asked me before making any cuts to make sure it was what I wanted and even took pictures so I could look at the back easily. She was very thorough and precise in cutting/​styling.
I only give it 4 stars because I was rescheduled twice. The first time was because I had an 11am apt but the person before me wasn’t done until 11:30 and I had to be somewhere at 12. Then I was scheduled for a Wednesday when i had asked for Tuesday and thought I was confirmed. But they squeezed me in Tuesday afternoon anyways and I live so close that it wasn’t a huge deal.

I was recommended by a friend to go see Adria for my 14 year old daughters haircut… let me tell you I was not disappointed and neither was my picky teen. We went in with some ideas of what she wanted and Adria took afndmd ran with it!!! She put her own flair and it came out absolutely beautiful. We are extremely happy and I made an appt for myself for next week.

And, oh, yeah, I got a new hair cut! After 5 years of not touching my hair at all, praying for them to grow. And I made a right choice, coming to @purplefuego411424 (IG). Adria is a true Artist and local celebrity, she’s amazing listener to your wants and a magic scissors Talent. I never colored my hair and not planning to, but I heard and saw how incredible she is with coloring and styling too. Well, girls, if you want your hair to look superb and royal, you now know where to go!

I went here because my usual salon was booked and I needed to get my roots bleached for vacation ~ a friend of mine recommended this salon and while it was a bit of a drive for me, I figured why not?
I was not disappointed! I got my hair done by Adria ~ and she was really thorough, helpful, patient and down to earth! She bleached my hair more carefully than my regular salon did and she helped correct my crooked lines and everything! When it was rinsing time, she massaged my scalp with some blue shampoo and gave me some conditioner ~ which was great! The massage was fantastic! When all was done, it only came out to $ 55 for a root touch-​up, wash & blow-​dry, which was a pleasant surprise. I usually pay $ 75+ for the same thing at my usual salon D:
