Hudson KIA

I’m from out of state (2 hours away) and need to buy a reliable used car for my 70 year old mother who lives 20 minutes from Hudson KIA (HK). Found a wonderful Hyundai Accent GLS on HK’s website advertised for $ 7,500. Internet pricing is «no haggle» I thought. So, the Internet Sales Coordinator was happy to take my debit card deposit over the phone to hold the vehicle until Saturday ⁶⁄₁₈. I asked for an email confirming the total «out the door» price, as I need to get a bank check before driving 2 hours, pick up my Mother, and bring her to the dealer to sign papers. $ 7,500 advertised price + 7% sales tax ($ 525.00) + DMV fees of $ 500 (overestimate I’m certain). Total should be around $ 8,500, right? AND I’M NOT FINANCING so it should be a straight-​forward transaction. Received email with an out the door price of $ 10,759.65…$ 2,800 more???
When I asked for a breakdown because it’s much more than the advertising price + tax + DMV, the response was: «When you come in tomorrow, you can speak with the „Sales Manager“ about the breakdown, I’m sure they won’t let you leave without the car».
NEWSFLASH: This is the ultimate bait ‘n switch tactic. My time is limited and you just lost a sale. I canceled my appt and expect my deposit credited back to my debit card immediately. SHAME ON YOU FOR WASTING MY TIME.

This the worst car dealer I have ever bought a car from from the salesman to the finance manager. Starting with the salesman he’s name is Gino he’s full of lies instead of promoting their brand he is boasting about his car which is a different brand and that he would never buy a KIA… what a joke I think they should get rid of him. I didn’t buy a KIA even though I know it’s a good brand they’ve been around for a while now. I bought a used car from him with low miles but was just missing some part in the car. He promised to replace it but he never did. Weeks and months had passed I never got a call even for an update. He just wanted to make his commission. The finance manager was another one. I made my homework, checked my credit score and made sure I know what I will be paying for the terms that will be presented to me. He was convincing me that I have to pay more than I have to and that its impossible for me to pay what I ever I asked for. He should me his numbers according to the «bank» which was another lie. And I have to pay almost $ 400 more per month from what I was asking. Thank God for smart phone apps for car financing. I downloaded one and I was doing my own computations while I was talking to him I was inputting the same numbers he was telling him and I finally showed it to him I’m only suppose to pay $ 400 less than what he was asking me. Then he was very surprised. He smiled at me and from then on we where making the deal on my terms. So please beware of this dealership they’re a bunch of crooks. By the way I sold the car that I bought from them. Talking from experience for future customers do your homework, take care of your credit and go to a luxury car dealership instead. They’ll treat you much better and with honesty.

Just had the best experience buying our new car. We went in very hesitant because we didn’t want to get seduced into buying a new expensive car and spending lots of money. Thankfully Richard Piperato greeted us and helped us with the process from start to finish. We were able to drive out a brand new car while lowering our monthly payments! Couldn’t be happier with the experience and so grateful to have such excellent professionals to do our business with. Richard was courteous, helpful, informative, patient, and very efficient. I cannot say enough good things about the Service Manager Scott P. My 2015 Sorrento started making sounds from engine out of nowhere. When my car arrived there he was very accommodating, personable & explained everything that was wrong & how to proceed. Engines normally take a long time, I was thoroughly impressed with his turn around time. I had my car back in a few days. He eased my nerves so much I cannot thank him enough. I work in the auto industry & deal with dealers all the time. I NEVER SEEN ANYONE GO ABOVE & BEYOND the way he did !

We contacted Hudson Kia for an Explorer we found online. After talking with the dealership via phone and email we placed $ 100 (refundable) on a cc to hold the car until the weekend. We were told via email before heading to the dealership a certain trade-​in value for our car and that negotiations could happen in person.
After driving over 2 hours to the dealership, we saw, checked out and drove the Explorer. The car was very nice but needed a few things:
— front and rear brakes — steering wheel shimmy under braking, minimum pad thickness remained
— rust along the leading edge of the hood
— tires were almost down to the tread wear indicators
We tried to negotiate these few points which were never previously disclosed (the salesman agreed on all).
The final deal on paper reduced the value of our trade as compared to previous emails. Lastly there was a dock fee ~$ 400 and a ~$ 1400 dealer prep fee. These fees were never disclosed prior to us driving all the way to the dealership.
We tried to negotiate but the manager did not move on any number. He told us they had to do an oil change and only had $ 700 to make in the car. Interesting enough was that the Ford dealership did an oil change days before the Kia dealership took the car from Auction (seen in the Carfax). We just can speculate if this was another lie or not…
This dealership is the epitome of the bait and switch. They tried to scam us, but we simply left.
Think twice before checking out this dealership.

I bought a 2016 Kia Sorento in excellent condition. I had been to other dealers around before going to Hudson Kia, and this last one was far the best customer experience. I was treated by their best seller «Ahmed Attia» inside there who honestly cared to explain every detail I asked. He was extremely knowledgeable about all inventory cars and I didn’t feel being rushed to buy at all. It was the best experience ever and I am very happy having selected this my purchase destination. Ahmed deserved all the credit for my final decision, as he is very talented and committed to give the best service a dealer can provide. I want to give thanks to all the team that makes this dealer the best option around. :)

This dealership sets the protocol for miscommunictation. In one day my time and clients time was totally wasted. By name Adrianna was sweet to deal with over the phone and just as apologetic when the error was made however its easy to see that once the bait is strung that the lure keeps getting thrown until someone bites. The «oh the car was sold this morning while I was away», REALLY!!! The bad thing is that I went through true car to find the vehicle and now see that even with true car dealerships need to be vetted even prior to visiting.

We love Hudson Kia. We had the best buying experience ever. Hudson Kia is the only place to buy a Kia in all of NY/​NJ/​Conn. Don’t waste your time going anywhere else; they’ll meet all of your expectations and give you a great deal. Al Jamal is professional and very reasonable. He made it easy for us.

Dear hudson kia owner,
I am writing this complain which may bring to your notice especially the kind of non professional approach followed by Hudson kia staffs.
It was my worst decision to buy car through Hudson Kia and below is the main reason
1) anyperson visits hudson kia should be prepared to wait atleast 7 – 8 hours to reach upo finance staff
2) sales person changes his statement every now and then and make you feel like a fool.
3) Internal staff meeting starts at any point of time so customer has to wait for 1 – 2 hrs until stand up meeting does not get completed.
Overall management, internal staff coordination, detailed knowledge of prduct is very poor.
Current issues :
1) i had bought car with vehicle service contract (contract service provider is interstate vehicle service), recently my car battery has stopped working (car bought as on 04/​13/​2015, 8 months back and used for 2k miles), as per hudson kia’s advice, i had called contract service provider to fix the issue. As per interstate company, my service contract num does not appear in their system.
as per hudson kia, my service contract was not processed and will get money back.
i am not sure when will i get my money back? Will i get with interest which i have paid in last 8 month?
hope someone will bother to respond from hudson kia.

ghetto fu%#s who are just looking for a sale! i waited almost 2 months to get my plates from this dealership bc of their lies. also they tried to tell me i didnt give them all of the down payment when i clearly gave it to them. they later apologized & said yes it was confirmed i gave that price. i guess its their scam on how they can squeeze more money frm their customers. these people have no integrity at all but wat do you expect from cheap, salesman. they are ghetto, unprofessional & could care less how they treat their customers. disgusting
