Get MAE’d @ MAE

Yup, yup, just like all the others Unilocalers said, food and drinks were great! Steph dud an amazing job. This was my first event and she made me and my plus one feel so welcomed.
The two specialty drinks were very tasty and refreshing. All of the apps were delicious. And the whole roasted pig, OMG, soooooooooo delish. Me and the bf def will be heading back here for the all you can eat pig roast on the weekend!

Trust me I have now started liking my Sunday evenings, thanks to Unilocal.
This place was definitely on my list to try, finally Unilocal made it possible. The place has a sober and simple setting nothing fancy but the owners take pride in serving the food with top notch service.
There was plenty of food and drinks till the entire duartion of the event. It is so hard for me to pick my personal favorite out of cauliflower appetizers, deviled eggs and eggplant crostinis. To add to all this food they had the Pig rost where they brought the whole pig and served it to us (that was our special guest for the evening too). The pork meat was so tasty and full of flavour. They do this every saturday, yes every week Pig Rost, isn’t it awesome!
Coming to the drinks the one with basil was really nice and refreshing, there was NJ beer on the tap too. The servers were attentive and the service was awesome.
MAE I am a fan now, can’t wait to try the awesome food again!

I’d known about this restaurant because Davis J. doesn’t shut his piehole about it; I knew it’d couldn’t possibly be bad. The food was AMAZING!
MAE has simple, but classy décor. As always, it was nice to hang out with other elites.
I wasn’t a big fan of the egg white vodka concoction. The other drinks were fabulous. I realize now that I’m a huge fan of herby and earthy flavored cocktails. The food definitely lived up to the hype. Cauliflower fritters were so tasty. The deviled eggs were the best I ever had. I loved the simple, but very delicious eggplant crostini. The whole roasted pig — absolutely divine. The meat was so tender and flavorful. I tried brain for the first time, yummy and creamy, but I could probably only have one spoon.
I can’t wait to come back to MAE and have a real meal here! Again, thanks YOSTEPH!

Wow. Who knew there was such an amazing place in such a modest neighborhood. Great food, great drinks, cute bartenders and owners, amazing Unilocalers! Really … What more could you ask for?
Awesome drinks! The vodka drink with no name was delicious but the basil gin drink blew me away. I have never been much of a gin drinker but the basil was soooooo good! Plus, there was some pretty great beer from the NJ Beer Company that was very popular! (Thanks, John!)
The drinks were sooooo good that I (almost) forgot about the food! (oops). I sampled the cauliflower fritters, eggplant bruschetta and amazing deviled eggs. All were delicious. Loved that the chef took comfort food favorites and put a creative twist on them!!! Bummed that I didn’t get to try the lambs belly but hoping it will be on the menu for me to come back and order. And the piece de resistance was the PIG ROAST!!! Holy cow … Holy pig? SUCH A TREAT! And MAE does this every Saturday!!!

Wow what an event! Everyone and their mother (Austin!) was at this event! The great staff of MAE had the drinks flowing! NJ beer co and carefully crafted cocktails went down like water. I especially enjoyed the bubblegum vodka that magically appeared later in the evening! :)
The food was fantastic! My personal favorite was the fried cauliflower and the little piggy guest of honor!

My plus 1 and I had a blast! I usually can’t make it to Unilocal Events due to my ridiculous work schedule, but I’m SO happy I was able to get to this one!
The food was fabulous! Everything was delicious, but my favorites were the eggplant and the cauliflower fritters. The «surprise guest» was a hit, as well. Glad to know that MAE does pig roasts every Saturday.
The drinks were awesome! The bartenders worked hard to make sure nobody got thirsty. The cocktails were delicious, and we loved the beer from NJ Beer Co! We are already planning a trip to the brewery in North Bergen to pick of a growler of that amazing chocolate stout!
It was so nice to meet some fellow Unilocalers in my community, since I rarely get out to these things.

These guys do it every time! Phenomenal crafted cocktails, delish finger food and a pig roast to end the evening. Best restaurant in ALL of Jersey City. Downtown meets Communipaw. DO NOT miss it!
