Extremely fast delivery. Extremely tasty, delicious food. We had moved to Jersey City recently and were struggling to find a good Chinese place — finally happened!

After moving to the area a couple months ago, my husband and I have been trying out different chinese take out places to find The One. I believe our search is over. We’ve ordered from them a handful of times now, and can say they have been consistently delicious and SUPER fast delivery — honestly the quickest delivery I’ve ever experienced. With NO mistakes on our orders, which makes it even more impressive! We get the usual generic americanized chinese dishes here, and have not been disappointed. Good portions, high quality take-out containers(if you get delivery as often as I do, you start to appreciate the little details), and good food that satisfies our chinese food cravings.

Usually I love Future! However, there was nothing to love in my recent order. We ordered the vegetable lo mein, pineapple fried rice, and sesame chicken. It was all extremely bland and dissapointing. There was also no soy sauce or sauces in the bag when we brought it home. Time to find a new place.

Just ordered a delivery through from Future Restaurant. The food was amazing! The wontons, beef & broccoli, sweet & sour chicken, chicken fried rice were delicious. I literally just finished my food and had to post right away about it.

They call it Future because delivery is so fast at, they must have time machine, or maybe they cook the food in the back of the delivery vehicle on the way. But seriously, it is solid Chinese food at a very good price. You can get unhealthy(delicious) or healthy(maybe not quite as tasty) — it’s up to you! Some good vegetarian offerings, but assume some meat will be mixed in so not for vegans or vegetarian purists — avoid this place. What I usually get: –Hunan Shrimp with brown rice –Scallion Pancakes –Steamed pork dumplings –Pork Egg Roll(you have to request mustard sauce packet!) I do best when sticking with the basic items. Would I eat there? No way. Just call and be ready to run to the door to pay!

My sister and I would order from here when they had the Mexican spot we rarely ordered the Chinese but last night for New Years we decided to go ahead and order the Chinese food… BADIDEA … The food was not at all fresh my sister and I woke up with food poisoning… Not only us but my 18 yr old brother my 8 yr old niece who was throwing up all morning and my 2 yr old nephew… Not only that but my sister ordered prk fried rice and almost gets to the bottom and find a fuckin twisty tie in the rice… At that point we had already eatin our food… I’m pretty sure we are NEVER ordering from this place again…

I got this delivered from seamless, and they were exactly on time, and i got so much food for such a good price. And the food is so good, the steamed dumplings had a really good flavor, the hit and sour soup, some of the stringy stuff got caught in my teeth alot. And the pad thai and general tsos chicken i got. I got everything at «spicy» level but it still could have used more spice. And the general tsos was a little dry, but the pad thai was great. This will definitely be my new chinese delivery spot in jersey city

I’ve given Future Restaurant 4 stars, but it’s a generous 4 stars. If this place was even a touch more expensive its rating would spiral down in to oblivion. But as it stands Future Restaurant sits in that magical place on the price vs quality curve, but it’s really leaning on that price factor. That said I’ve never had a bad experience, the food is always adequate and the portions plentiful, especially given the price. Order twenty simoles of Americanized Chinese food from here and you’ll be sitting pretty for at least six(you read that right) meals. Few comments to end on. It’s really strictly a takeout place(I’ve never seen someone actually eating in the dingy smattering of tables they have in the front of the store). It used to serve Mexican food as well(know one really knows why) but that ended in Nov of 2014.

Best cheap Chinese takeout in JC. The moo shu pork is awesome, and is the main reason I’m bothering to review them. They aren’t skimp with the pancakes for it either!

This place is awesome. Friendly staff, takes credit cards, and open late. I order from here at least 3 times a week when I’m too lazy to cook.

The worst $ 6 I’ve spent in JC… I think they understood«dry fried rice» when I said chicken because the lack of flavor in this rice made it taste at least 2 days old, NEVERAGAIN.

High-end authentic Chinese cuisine she ain’t, but Future is cheap, fast, and reliable. I’ve been eating the curry bean curd here for years(it’s pretty much the only thing I order) and it’s a lot of food for the money. As a regular, I am recognized and greeted by the friendly staff, which gives the restaurant a real, authentic neighborhood feel. Yes, the food is greasy and salty and you shouldn’t go in expecting anything fancy. But, if you want some cheap and reliable take-out(or delivery) Future is your best bet. My four-star review takes into consideration the nature of the restaurant and the low prices and should not be considered equal to a four-star review of a sit-down restaurant with $ 20 entrees, where expectations are understandably higher.

Future is my go-to for Chinese near home. It’s nothing out of the ordinary and it’s the same menu options you could expect to find at any other neighborhood Chinese takeout joint. It also happens to be a dollar or two cheaper, and a bit better than other options. Delivery is quick(3 – 4 blocks away, 15 – 20 minutes) and the food is always hot. Some dishes fare better than others: their lo mein(especially with ‘crab’. mmm, surimi…) is tender without falling into mushy or overwhelmed by soy sauce, the hot and sour soup is loaded with vegetables and tofu, and the chicken & eggplant in garlic sauce packs just enough garlicky heat to keep the dish interesting. Try to avoid anything fried, though: general tso’s, sesame, and orange chicken consistently wind up soggy and jelled in grease. Sadly, Future no longer operates with Taco King for cheap Mexican. Gone are the days of a sub-$ 10 dinner of hot & sour soup with a grilled steak combo plate(that’s meat, beans, rice, cheese, sour cream, guacamole, lettuce, tomato, and two thin tortillas).

A great Chinese delivery option in Jersey City! I couldn’t believe how fast everything came! Food was really cheap. I like to order enough food to make it worth the while of the delivery people and it was still so cheap I thought they must have added it up wrong. The food quality is not sacrificed for the price though. The fried dumplings could have been done a hair longer. However, the dumplings were not greasy and had some of the best sauce I’ve ever tasted. Sesame chicken and eggroll were perfectly prepared, delicious to eat, and exactly what you are looking for. The pork fried rice is both good and bad. The rice is tasty, but has undercooked peas which throw off the mix. The low mein can be skipped. Low mein in Jersey City seems to be a white whale. I tried the beef lo mein, and after a few bites put it aside. Everything else was amazing, and I will definitely order from here again.

Honestly, I like this place and I’m not ashamed to admit it. The portions are huge and the prices are right, which is obviously the signature of any place like this. Delivery has always been quick, and if you pick up instead, the guys are nice. My favorite part about this business is, surprisingly, the flour tortillas they use. Not sure from where they source or if they are made in-house, but they are always warm and chewy. They serve their moo shu with them as well so you can get your tortilla fix even if you don’t order off the Taco King menu. Salsa is basically just tomato water but if you’re expecting something more, you might want to look elsewhere. Guac isn’t bad at all. The aforementioned moo shu was flavorful — there was a great ratio of cabbage, veg, and meat — and it fed me for three days. I tend to order the Mexican more than the Chinese but both are serviceable enough if you’re craving cheap hybrid faux-ethnic cuisine.

Nothing amazing, nothing terrible. The lunch special has way more food than you should/could eat. The broth in the wonton soup was really good.

Greasy, high MSG food. But hey, they made sure you know about that before you order, so I don’t know why everyone is complaining. There’s a $ 1 delivery fee, but it’s totally worth it because the delivery is always fast(they use a car). The Chinese food isn’t authentic, as you can probably guess by the blend of «Chinese food» and«Mexican food» in the same menu, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t taste good. There were many times when I craved the Grilled Steak Combo, which includes mexican rice, beans, two flour tortilla, guacamole a can of coke for $ 7. The warm tortilla is crazzzzy good.

Wow. This was just a horrible, horrible idea. Not one thing we sampled was remotely good. Everything was caked in gelatanous fat and completely flavorless. I only felt regret and shame after eating this garbage and I barely even ate any of it. The Wonton soup was not fresh and completely flavorless, the dumplings were aight, the spareribs — I almost threw up in my mouth, the beef dish was disgusting and I took one baby bite and had to throw the whole thing away. I could go on for days about how nasty all this isht was but really it would just be a waste of time and energy. Avoid this spot like the plague. Food King is lookin’ way better now.
