they had a tech come out to my house and they cut my copper wires to the house that do not belong to them and they are no refusing to fix it. I call up and they put my on hold and that is it. what bull shit

The absolute worst service and product I’ve ever experienced. I’m dropping them after one week. I’ve had issues every single day. Go anywhere else.

By far worst experience with cable company. I canceled my service after one week of having it and returned equipment to that location, 3 months later I still receive letters from Comcast that equipment hasn’t been returned.

After reading the grim reviews, I was dreading my Saturday morning trip to this customer service center.
I showed up about 20 – 30 minutes after they opened and there was a line. It wasn’t terrible and with two customer service reps, it moved fairly quick. The place is a bit dreary, with metal doors and a security guard… Felt like a government building or something.
I almost feel strange leaving a positive review amidst all the muck but… I had a really pleasant experience here, really, guys…
The positive experience was due to the girl who helped me. I wish I asked her name. She was super friendly, helpful and efficient. I needed to return my ex-roommate’s equipment, cancel his account and open a new one. Everything went smoothly and hopefully stays that way. Thanks Awesome XFinity Employee!
Also had a positive experience with their telephone system — I called earlier to inquire re: my options and the guy I spoke with was also super nice and helpful. Same when setting up the Internet…
Hopefully nothing happens to change my mind. Knock on wood!
Oh, did I mention I found a parking spot right in front?
I’d suggest going early when they open — not sure how busy it can get.

The service is good but the packages ar entirely too expensive. I miss the days when TV was free!

I recently switched from Verizon to Comcast looking for better internet speed and service (since my area is not Fios ready). What a mistake! I wish I could give negative stars. This review is not for this location but the service provider. It started with a technician showing up over an hour later than scheduled and proceeded to disconnect my Direct TV service upstairs (which I had emphasized I was keeping) to use it on their equipment because he was too lazy to run a new line (given that he was late already!). When I contacted Comcast about the issue they actually told me that it was Direct Tv’s responsibility as they didn’t touch other providers equipment (I guess they failed to tell their tech that). After much argument, I got an appointment for another tech to come and run the line who no only never showed up but rescheduled the appointment 20 minutes before the end of the scheduled time ended without speaking to me. Talk about crappy service! I am now waiting for a Manager to contact me so I can cancel this nightmare and have them pay for getting Direct TV to fix their screw up. One thing they were very efficient with was billing, that I got right away.
Absolute worst!

Lisa M you’re a terrible liar bc comcast early termination fee AT MOST if you even have a contract would be $ 230 — so your $ 1000 is malarkey… You probably got charged for the equipment bc you didn’t provide a police report or insurance claim on the house burning down. I’m very sorry for your mother in law’s loss and I wish you ease and comfort in your new location and I pray no one was harmed — but, taking it out on a cable company is not fair. Comcast is the source of all my financial anxiety. In the one year that I had moved out on my own comcast had never once failed to bill me extra every month for something I did not have, a visit that never took place, or equipment that I never received nor ordered. One time I was supposed to have a tech come to my apartment to fix my cable and internet. I called three times and each time they said he was on his way. The man never showed and actually told them he came to my house and no one answered and he called my phone and no one answered. I was livid.
Every time I was billed over the amount I was required to pay the extra amount and then was told I would be credited on the next billing cycle. This company is seriously nothing but a scam and the should be put out of business asap. All they do is steal from people. If you don’t check your bill you are most likely paying for something you never ordered. The only reason anyone has comcast is probably because its the only option in apartment complexes. I will never ever go with them again.
Also, they refuse to put you through to a supervisor or manager, ever. I would rather not have cable than go through them again.

So… after being an internet customer only for about five years I decided to trade in my converter box and antenna for cable TV. I called up Comcast and the woman went over a package with me that would only be $ 25 more than what I pay now… SOLD. I walked to the Comcast office — didn’t realize how far 1.7 miles was until I had to walk there and back — and picked up my cable box.
Then went through almost two hours on the phone attempting to hook it up… light bulb flashes… the girl on the phone did not tell me I needed a splitter and 2 co ax cables to do this SO two hours wasted and back to my converter box and antenna for the night.
Next day picked up the cable and got my service running… hmmm…no Bravo or VH1. So I called Comcast and they fixed (I confess I am a reality show watcher so those channels were my only reason for getting cable!).
Next day I get an e mail billing me $ 110 for service (over $ 60 more than I currently pay not $ 25 as quoted). I call up and am told by a very nice representative that I was misled on the cost of my package. In fact my normal bill would be more like $ 120 a month. She could put me on a basic TV pack but that would not include Bravo etc so would be little better than I was getting for free. So I cancelled the whole thing. Now two days of all this nonsense on and off the phone and hiking all the way to the office and I have to return my cable box… by mail this time!
Would I recommend Comcast to anyone? Hmmmmm you guess…

If I could give 0 stars and review I would! Without a doubt the WORST cable/​internet experience I have ever had.
From day one this has been a complete nightmare dealing with unreasonable, incompetent people. Customer service happens to be among the rock bottom in any industry.
Lack of customer appreciation is huge. From asking for a security deposit to charging a month in advance. Supposedly fast internet speed which was slow and spotty.
When moving house and speaking to customer (lack of service) I was told don’t pay last bill as we owe you $ 35 so just drop off your cable box and remote and expect a check within 3 weeks. I did want they wanted to the last detail as I hear awful things about this dreadful monopoly.
I move and then get a final bill instead of a refund. Final bill is $ 29 which says due March 8^th as I had moved Feb 9^th. I call customer service and they explain that I do owe the money and customer service had made a mistake so I send them a check that night.
Two days later I get a call from a collection agency and I am astounded. I explain to them the whole situation and express my disgust for comcast and their tactics. I am assured that my credit will not be damaged.
With all the negative comments about this horrible company I am surprised the FTC or other government agency has not cracked down on them!
Hands down the worst company I have ever encountered. I would rather have no TV than ever deal with these pirates again.

Maybe the powers that be actually read these? I moved and took my chance to quit Comcast (always go no-​contract, kids. Saving $ 10 a month is not worth risking an ETF). Went to drop off the cable box and remote. The scary bulletproof glass is gone, there was no line, and the young lady behind the counter was polite and efficient.
Too little, too late, unfortunately.

It looks like these guys have a lot to contend with. While it’s still true that some of Comcast’s policies are the absolute worst, the people I experienced at this center were absolutely fantastic and friendly. The only reason I’m not giving it five stars is because of some of the corporate policies and practices of the parent company. Whoever reads this please rest assured that the individuals that work at this branch are happy to help with whatever concerns you have, and with a company like Comcast I’m sure you have at least several.

Worst cable, internet and phone provider! Comcast management has been providing defective cable boxes! No TV! No internet! No Phone! All just because their lines are cut from my home! Such a waste of money and time!

Since day 1 I was not happy with their customer service: the installation did not come when they said they would and I HAD to call to re-​arrange, service has been consistently bad, and they’ve gotten my bill wrong many times.
They offered me $ 10 off my bill which I thought would be a great improvement in their service. But since no one actually applied any credit to my account I had to call month after month to get the discount THEY promised me. FINALLY, someone noticed they did the wrong thing and fixed it.
The internet goes in and out (even though I work right near the router/​modem). We also cancelled the cable service since it was exorbitant and yet the service we got was so crappy.
From time to time someone on the phone is nice, I don’t want to take credit away from those people, but my advice if you use them STICK TO YOUR GUNS. If they messed up your bill just push until you get the right person to help you and don’t hang up without getting their name/​employee ID and take notes on all of your calls.
OR use verizon =)

I wish I could give less than a whole star. As soon as we got Verizon in our area we switched, and amazingly it’s actually not more expensive, we get more for the same price we were paying Comcast. The location in Jersey City is just abysmal. When we cancelled I had to drop my box off in person. So carrying two heavy boxes in (with my small frame), only to wait on a line that was out the door, for over 30 minutes, for a drop off that took 1 minute. They only had one person working at the time and it was Saturday. I’m so glad I don’t have to deal with them anymore.

I am happy to report we now have wifi in most of our home! Woohoo! We will finally realize a savings on our smartphone plans.
We are in a very old home with suspect wiring throughout so a solution for wifi in all corners of our home on three levels is virtually impossible– as of today that is– I have faith in the geeks, nerds and wizards to save the day for folk like us in the future. I salute the computer geniuses who are figuring all this stuff out. We would welcome lower rates someday too.

This is the worst place to deal with your Comcast woes! They cannot help you very much, so unless you need to return your box and am to cheap to put a mail tracker on it or need the same day exchange then I guess you can wait in the really long line and commiserate with the other members on the same wagon. That’s pretty much all that happens in this office.
Common Comcast you guys make so much money off of people who just want to watch TV, why don’t you at least give us higher internet speeds so I can write more Unilocal reviews and upload more Unilocal photos!
