AA Taxi & Limo Service

I’ve used this service several times without a problem, until today. Needed a 5:30pm pick up for an evening flight out of Newark Airport. Car didn’t show up until 5 minutes to 6:00 due to traffic. Which is fine but every time I called they said the car was 5 minutes away which drives me nuts
If using them, make sure to give yourself plenty of time in the evening. Don’t let them talk you into a later pick up time

We used this taxi to go from North Bergen to Downtown Jersey City and back. The entire experience was terrible.
I called the day before to reserve the car, and the dispatch told me to call the next morning. I even asked if I needed a reservation because I expected it to be a busy night, he said he would definitely have cars available and quoted me a price of around $ 35 – 40. When I called the next morning I was told to call within an hour of needing the service (which was 6 PM). At 5 I called and he said he had no cars available to go to North Bergen. When I berated him that he had told me not to worry the day before, he relented and said he would send someone. The driver did show up on time, ill give them that, but he wanted to charge me $ 50. We were desperate, so we paid it (we also made him wait for a few minutes).
The return trip was far worse. When we got in the car, the driver (who was very nice by the way) quoted us $ 40. We agreed and were on our way. Halfway through the trip, the dispatch called the driver and told him that since we paid 50 going down, we needed to pay 50 coming back. I told the dispatch that that is ridiculous and that I was going to pay the price he quoted me and I agreed to. The guy said if I didnt agree to the 50 he would stop the car. I told him if I paid 50, I wouldnt be tipping the driver (because my plan was to give 50 anyway, 40+10tip). He said he didn’t care if I tipped the driver or not (nice employer). At that, he hung up on me!!!
I will never use this company again. Their business practices are unethical, and their customer service is just plain RUDE!

$ 30 to go 5 miles… no highway, no tolls? It costs less to go from NY-​Jersey City!
These scrubs will waste your time and pressure you into paying their outrageous fares.
Eek! Me thinks not! Go elsewhere unless you want a crooked gypsie cab experience.

I wish I’d had a better experience, like these other reviewers. I called for a cab this past Saturday. He said fifteen minutes, which I thought was long. I only live in the Heights, not in a hard to get to section of Jersey City. It took much longer than fifteen minutes! Half an hour later, the car finally arrived. I was going to 2^nd and Coles, which takes five minutes. Down Newark and turn off on 2^nd. He went the wrong way, ended up on 18^th, went all the way back down to 2^nd, and then charged me $ 12 for what should have been a five minute trip. I was definitely annoyed, and not calling this company ever again.

We needed a shuttle from Hoboken back to NYC for 10 people. I called the usual Manhattan suspects on Unilocal.These guys gave us the best deal on a large passenger van seating 11. For 3 stops, we paid $ 135 plus tip and tolls. Most others didn’t have a van that size and would have required two vans.
The van itself was a typical large van. The back seat wasn’t installed wonderfully so it was a little shakey. It’s clear they use it for moving sometimes.
That said, the driver knew where he was going. There wasn’t a lot of hassle. He waited where we needed him to and was on time. A seamless situation. He even stopped off at a grocery store along the way so that we could pick up some beverages… so as not to be thirsty on the ride across…

This car company rocks! Their prices are reasonable, the cars are always clean, and they’re always on time. Best of all tho– they are awesome to deal with. The drivers are professional and courteous and for a change this is a company who hires people who drive really well.
Trust me, growing up in NYC makes you realize how rare a commodity that is.
