Established in 2009.
A Small Green Space is a full service, urban landscape design/build/and maintenance firm. We are based in Jersey City, NJ. We have been creating outdoor city «living» rooms since 2009.
The owner, Emma Lam, is both a garden designer and a horticulturist. With a background in theatre and childhood homes in both England and New England, Emma brings a dramatic flare to the lush, outdoor living spaces she creates.

Business Owner
Emma is an Urban Garden Designer, specializing in small city spaces. She has studied garden design through KLC School of Design, in London. Her projects have included residential city spaces and larger suburban gardens. Her main design influence has come from the small English gardens of her youth and the cramped city spaces of her adult life.
