Wine is as much the experience as it is the taste. It’s too bad the staff doesn’t enjoy customers when they serve great wine. It’s disappointing that we HADTOASK Veronica the server to give us background or stories about the Wines we were tasting. Honestly, she was sweeping the floor from a prior accident and even after the«issue» was resolved with literally 2 other people in the tasting room, no one cared to provide us a «good» wine experience. This is the only place we didn’t buy bottles; Caduceus. Funny, is when we entered we were having fun and immediately my sister and I could tell they assumed we were either intoxicated or not wine-appreciative — whatever they thought, kick us out if you thought we were over served(not) or display the passion about the wine you sell for $ 50ish/bottle.

Alan was absolutely wonderful! He made us feel right at here when we were visiting Jerome. He was very knowledgable about the wines that he was having us taste. This is a must see place while in Jerome.

Cool place, had some questions and they were answered. Knew exactly what I wanted when I walked in, the«Chupacabara”(sp). Wish I was able to partake in a tasting but I had the children with me. Next time

We made the pilgrimage to Jerome the day after catching Tool in San Francisco and it was an all-around incredible experience. We were simply blown away by the remarkable staff and jaw-dropping wine they had to offer. Alan and Danielle both went out of their way to ensure we had the best possible experience and went above and beyond to tell us more about the wine, Jerome, and everything Caduceus. We even signed up for the Velvet Slipper Club because we were so impressed. We walked away with several bottles of wine and a weekend we won’t soon forget!

Dry bitter wine — yuck. Cluttered tasting area that is like a maze. Needs better space planning. Bar chick slapped tasting menus down and ran through the choices like a rushed robot. Don’t recommend to any of my friends. Very disappointing.

Drove from Temecula Valley all the way to Jerome because of a conversation on wines that included something along the lines of «Maynard has a winery in Arizona, I wonder if it’s any good…» Simple answer, is that it is good, really good actually. We had the pleasure of being helped by Alan, who was not only knowledgeable about the wines but just a really cool guy that was beyond friendly and helpful. We stayed the night at the Connor hotel(Room 6, literally directly above Caduceus) which was amazing. The whole town of Jerome is worth a day or two of your time. Thanks to the entire staff for being friendly, Thanks to Alan for helping wine newbies pick the right stuff and thanks to the city of Jerome where there didn’t seem to be one person that wasn’t extremely nice. I’m sure we’ll see you again soon… After I finish the massive amount of wine I brought home with me.

Amazing place and awesome staff. Our group of 4 got there at the perfect time when there was only about a 10 minute wait. We loved that they didn’t just let in as many people as possible. There were even open seats, so they could have let it get packed, but they let in just enough people they felt their servers could handle. The wines were great as well. I had never had an Arizona wine, and they were definitely different. They weren’t really dry at all, but not overly sweet. I’m not sure how they get that mouthfeel without having a ton of residual sugar, but they nailed it. Took a case to go and couldn’t have had a better time.

In arizona for monster mash and the tool vip event we took a field to this amazing shop on saturday. The service here was unparalleled, we were lucky enough to have the wine master veronica helping our entire time there. We drank a handful of flights and then two more bottles. The wine is superb and I will be ordering shipments for years to come.

We decided to make the trek from Phoenix the Monday after Monster Mash, along with about nine billion other Tool/Puscifer fans, so the tasting room was pretty slammed. We actually had to wait in line outside because they were at capacity, but the hostess did everything in her ability to get us in quickly. We got lucky and landed a spot on a couch up front. The staff made sure we received waters, brought us flights, explained everything, exchanged pleasant banter, then continued running their heads off. Considering the crowds, and the fact that their computers went down in the midst of the rush, they were pretty damn organized. The wine was fantastic. I think. I’m not really a wine person, so maybe I should leave that part to the experts. I wish we had gotten there earlier to try the coffee… that’s more my style. But I loved the atmosphere, the décor, and the overall experience. We ended up buying 4 bottles of wine, which they expertly packaged up for us, so hopefully they survive the flight. We are already making plans for our next trip to Jerome, and another visit to Cadueceus Cellars is definitely going to be on the agenda.

I’m FAR from a wine aficionada, but the Mr. enjoys a good«bottle of red» every now and then, and loves learning more about how it’s made and local wineries. He recently watched an excellent documentary(«Blood into Wine,») about this place and its founder, Maynard James Keenan. If we had planned a quest to find this place, it might never have happened, but like so many of the best things in our recent travels/life in general(getting philosophical here, oops!!) some of our most memorable finds and adventures were completely unplanned. BEAUTIFUL, inviting location, extremely friendly and well-informed staff, WONDERFUL music(the founder is a vocalist w/Tool and a few other not-really known to me bands!!) promise something for everyone who walks in, planned or otherwise. We tried a red wine flight, got great background info from one of the servers, and soon, a(semi-controlled) shopping spree ensued. Only regret? I think we should have stayed longer, learned more, and lingered in this lovely, cozy spot high in the dusty hills of(formerly) ghostly Jerome, Arizona… Worth a visit!!!

Stopped in here on Monday afternoon and loved it! I wish I could remember our sommelier’s name because he was great. My boyfriend and I did 2 flights of wine, starting with white and ending with red. He was so helpful and very knowledgeable about the wine and their origins. We ended up getting a bottle of the Shinola and we can not wait to enjoy it with some nice steaks. We will definitely be back.

One of my favorite places in Jerome. The staff is entertaining, knowledgeable and welcoming. The wine is fantastic story-telling with each taste. Recently I purchased a bottle of the Diddler, and loved it. It definitely has a diddle in it. The first wave across the tongue is a sweet melody, floating flowers and oak, a juicy melon sweep and then an assaulting attack that is most welcome in the mid-palate. You keep coming back for more knowing exactly what’s going to occur, and yet excited when it’s the same intensity and taste. Truly a white wine I enjoy repeatedly. Of course the reds are something I keep coming back to, as well.

Hubby is a huge Tool fan and we love wine, so of course we had to make the pilgrimage to Caduceus. This place had several whites and reds, and even three different rosés to taste and take home. Vanessa, our server, was amazing. Super welcoming, friendly(even making an effort to learn our names) and had tons of knowledge which she was ready and willing to share. Besides being fans of Maynard as a musician, we were very impressed with his talents as a winemaker. The wines were bold and dry(just the way I like them!) with great body. We stopped in for coffee the following morning and were greeted by another friendly barista(Molly, I think?) who also made recommendations and got us some tasty brews. I was impressed and pleased to find that this was more than just a pit stop for fans of some famous guy, but a respectable place for wine lovers as well.

Place was beautiful. We had an awesome bar tender who really knew her stuff. We took the white and red flights and left with several bottles. Maynard really has outdone himself in wine making and music. Highly recommend you stop by.

I was never a wine snob until I was introduced to Caduceus. That’s because before Caduceus, I wasn’t aware of the intricacies that could be present in a bottle of wine that would even cause anyone to be picky. Well — this is the real deal. We buy Caduceus almost exclusively now, and are part of their Velvet Slipper club, which I highly recommend. The tasting room itself is awesome. It’s small, with very limited seating, so if you swing by and want to relax, you might find yourself standing at the bar instead, but the staff is cool as hell, and super helpful, so it’s hard to have a bad time here. From my experience, they usually have about a dozen bottles to taste, and a wider selection available to buy by the bottle. The food they have to pair with the wine is really unexpectedly delicious, with cheeses and meats that offer some unique and fun tastes to clear your palette between tastes. All this is great, but come on — this winery is run by the big man himself, and it shows through. The music is great, the atmosphere is classy but not friendly and not snobby, and the curious atmosphere of Jerome makes it that much more interesting.

Diggin’ it! This was actually my second time at the tasting room. Every single time I’ve been to Jerome, I’ve stopped here. The atmosphere is incredibly chill for a tasting room and is great to hang out in even though there’s a very limited number of chairs. The flights are very reasonable and offer a wide variety of what they offer, including a tempranillo which is killer! I particularly like the staff who are extremely friendly and efficient. I have never had the chance/presence of mind to order a coffee or any food so I can’t comment on it.

The atmosphere here is awesome and wine is gods too! My buddies and I were in an impromptu road trip and ended up in Jerome. We didn’t really realize where we were until we saw the tasting room and it all clicked! I had a flight and Abby helped me out. Came to learn that she is from Philly to and had some great conversation… I could have stayed all day but alas, we had to go and drive back to Phoenix. I will defiantly be back to explore more of the town and its people!

I have been here once before, but I merely walked in and out. I had seen the documentary(Blood Into Wine) and have been a lifelong Tool /Puscifer /Perfect Circle /Maynard fan. The first time I was here, I did not take the time to taste the wine, I simply wanted more Maynard. This time, I arrived with my buzz on, and hunkered down for the signature tasting and cheese plate. We were helped by Abby(sp?) who simply needs a raise. She not only is lovely and knowledgeable, but incredibly charming and made the hour we spent there more than worth it. The one that particularly caught my fancy, was the Marzo. If not for my baller on a budget status, I would have immediately purchased an entire case of this delicious blend. So, my advice for Jerome is to take the town in, visit both of the wine tastings(the other one does have a nice view) and try to catch some live music while you’re there. But don’t miss this joint. Just take my advice, go for the wine — and cross your fingers that Abby is working!
