Business Owner

Joseph L. Mendelsohn, CPA received his B.S. in Accounting from SUNY at Geneseo in 1982. He has been a Certified Public Accountant since 1985. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants as well as the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.

During Mr. Mendelsohn’s career he has worked at small CPA firms, medium-​sized CPA firms and a «Big Eight» CPA firm (formerly known as Coopers & Lybrand LLP). While employed at these firms, he was exposed to a wide array of accounting and tax issues. He has handled individual and business clients of all sizes and in many different industries.

Prior to starting Joseph L. Mendelsohn CPA in 2007, Mr. Mendelsohn was the partner in charge of Charles Brucia & Co’s tax department. In addition, he was responsible for the firm’s high net worth business management clients providing both tax and financial strategies to preserve and build wealth.
