Courtyard Hutchinson Island Oceanside/Jensen Beach

Relaxing, well-​appointed hotel. Marriott is really becoming our favorite hotel-​chain. The room was clean and comfortable. The beds were fantastic — you feel as if you are floating while you sleep. Good sized mini-​fridge (tall-​enough shelves to hold a carton of milk) and microwave. Nice bathroom with plenty of towels.
Friendly, helpful staff. Easy check-​in/​check-​out.
We paid a little extra for the balcony on the ocean side and it was really worth it — fabulous views of the beach and ocean. The balcony is glass enclosed, a nice touch that preserves the view.
The beach goes on forever and we had some good walks there (6+ miles).
Small pool (we did not try) and the café looked pretty busy/​crowded.
Two things we did not like: 1) Cabana chairs on the beach are only available at an extra cost ($ 30/​day?) — which seems petty given the cost of the rooms; 2) There was garbage in the parking lot, I kept expecting the staff to clean it up but after many days, the same bottles, etc… were still there — so I finally removed it.

The Courtyard Marriot on Hutchinson Island is really something special. The view I have on the balcony right now is amazing, I highly recommend upgrading to an oceanfront suite. We double checked that we had a balcony at check in, so if you had your heart set on a balcony make sure you ask since not all oceanfront rooms have them. Our balcony is directly connected to our neighbor’s (not ideal for an extra $ 30/​night but oh well) some of them are not.
You can start your day with breakfast and a Starbucks then head out to the beach to play in the waves. The pool deck is awesome to lounge at if the beach is too windy and I love the hot tub. One minor complaint I have is that the restaurant Pietros next door is very close and gets loud. It’s can be hard to relax during those times, so go have a drink at the Tiki Bar! (I also left a review for them). I wish the hotel had another bar or restaurant since Latitudes closes at 8. Sort of early for a bar, and especially because the pool doesn’t close until 10. One major drawback of the pool area is that you can smoke at the bar. For a non smoking hotel, and for the pool area that is constantly full of kids, I find this truly unacceptable. I hope this is something the hotel will reconsider for the future.
Overall though, this hotel is pretty great. I’ve been lucky enough to travel here twice in 2015 and look forward to coming back!

We’ve stayed at this hotel multiple times, as well as sending friends there on their visits. Clean, ultra-​comfortable and the staff is outstanding. Case in point, we were staying with friends at a Hutchinson Island condo and needed to print our boarding passes for the next day and swung by the hotel. I’m a Marriott Rewards & Vacation Club member and went to the hotel’s business desk. We had problem with the printer and Ed Griffin, the general manager, could not have been more helpful, taking the time to assist us as well as the new guests checking in, even though we weren’t even staying there on this visit.
Great views, great service & great amenities. Give it a try.

I travel 20 weeks out of the year for my job, plus many weekends of leisure travel, so I have stayed at many Marriott properties. This place is a hidden gem. Right on the ocean, with a nice pool and Tiki bar. The rooms are great and the property is clean. Not many restaurants or bars on Hutchinson Island, but there are plenty within 5 to 10 minutes drive. I am here for work but will return for leisure.

This hotel is nice. It was a very nice Beach and clean pool area. The bartender is fun and mixes good drinks. The front desk Staff is friendly. Good place to «beach veg» but bring books, cards, and games too. TV selection is crappy-​be ready to leave to watch NFL games. Recently renovated.

Back at Jensen Beach courtyard for another stay. Ocean facing with balcony this time. Nice free upgrade considering I booked a river side room. Again, very please with the quality of the room. One thing I forgot from my last stay is that the bathroom is a little tight, but again, the fit/​finish is very nice.
I will also add that both stays here have been free using my Marriott reward points, so perhaps my rating would be stricter if I actually knew the price of the hotel. Anyway, I am sure my wife and I will be back again!

I stayed here for two nights and think this was a pretty good hotel. I got a room facing the ocean and pretty pleased. You’re literally right on the beach. I enjoyed sleeping with the balcony door open and enjoyed listening to the ocean all night and hearing the seagulls in the morning.
The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and I had no real complaints.
It is a small hotel.
I will say placed to eat around here are a bit limited, especially after 9 — so I would highly recommend that you do plan to eat dinner before 9 PM otherwise, you may drive quite a ways to find something open.

Just returned from a weeklong stay and I must say the hotel was very good. The location could not be better, steps from the beach and a nice pool area with the tiki bar. Breakfast options are minimal however it’s a Starbucks menu so the coffee is great. The rooms were nice, clean and stocked well. The oceanfront rooms are definitely worth the extra money, sunrises over the ocean right when you wake up is perfect. Check out is 12 noon which is wonderful when you have many beach items to pack. I took off one star in this review because I think the food options are limited and it would be convenient to have something on site. Another issue I had is the stero on the pool deck. With only a handful of songs on the playlist that continue to play on the loop, it became frustrating to listen to over and over again while lounging poolside.

This is our favorite weekend getaway hotel. It’s got a great pool, pool bar and awesome beach. The staff is always great as well. It is also close to all the restaurants and shopping. It’s one of the best placed Courtyards in Florida along with the Fort Lauderdale Beach Courtyard.

Maybe 3 stars… this is my first night here, so we will see. I went downstairs at 9pm to «The Bistro «restaurant that is supposed to be opened until 10 on Thursday. It was closed. So I asked the receptionist to call a cab to go to downtown Jensen Beach. There was not one available until 10:30. (1.5hrs later and there’s no Über service around here) If you are on vacation and get hungry at an inconvenient time, make sure you have a car.
Also, at check in there was no one to help with my luggage, and my ocean front room did not have a balcony. Not what you’d expect for the price.

Great place… Service was amazing! This is a small but really nice hidden beautiful hotel. On the beach and it has all the perks… If your looking for a nice quick getaway, this is your place. And the price is very fair!

Great hotel! All of the staff are super helpful. I had an issue with my rental car. The staff came up to my room and switched out all of my belongings to the new car when it was delivered. They went above and beyond. Debbie was always super nice in the morning when we would get breakfast. They even had activities for the kids on the weekends. We will definitely be staying here again.

Absolutely a beautiful hotel. Room decoration is not over done, everything was very clean, fridge and microwave are great to have. Walk to beach was over a little walkway which comes from poolside/​tiki bar. Free wifi, parking, breakfast and beach towels as well. Across the street you a a cute ice team parlor and you can walk right next door on the beach to a terrific restaurant. Would come back in a heart beat!

The staff is exceptionally kind and works hard to make sure the guests are happy. We had the best stay and will definitely return. The hotel is beautiful and the staff really makes you feel welcome. I have been to many Marriot brand hotels all over the country and this one stands apart from them all. My new favorite getaway spot! I would probably stay here once a month if I could afford it!
The town of Hutchinson Island is small and quiet, but there are a lot of restaurant gems around. We loved Mrs. Peters Smokehouse and the New England Market.

Nice hotel, friendly staff, good clean rooms, small balconies, fun beach, fine breakfast. All that said by previous reviews. However what sets this place apart is being next door to Pietros! Now you have a great outside bar and fun restaurant… and it feels more like a beach club!

New, modern, but overall small for a FL hotel on the beach. Overall, overpriced. There’s nothing bad about the hotel, but it’s advertised as something with so much more than it actually has. Small rooms (for 4), small bathroom, the sofa bed (which you have to call the front desk to get) just barely fits between the bed and the slider. For some reason, the genius designer decided to use a clear glass door to the bathroom, with clear glass shower doors, so anyone in the room can see you taking your shower. The balcony, which costs $ 30 extra a night is only sometimes private (you may try to get one), so you have another family sharing the same balcony separated by a glass window pane. The rooms have hardly any insulation between them, so after 9, you better start whispering, or you’ll get some bangs on the wall. Bathroom is small (did I already say that?).
Pros: excellent access to the beach. Outdoor area is spectacular. Best part is the Tiki Bar by the pool that is open from late morning to 8pm. Serves any drink you want, and a surprisingly moderately-​sized snack/​appetizer menu. Great service.
Again, the hotel is modern and look nice, but is generally overpriced and too small for what you’re paying.

We stayed here a few weeks ago. Let me begin to say the staff was great. The room was ok. BUT the ‘balcony’…we shared a small, very small balcony with our neighbors. Honestly, we could reach out and touch someone. There is just a piece of glass that separates seating areas. When we went out, we locked the slider as we realized someone could easily climb over the glass and enter. We also did not sleep with the slider open.
So, beware, if you want to sit out and enjoy a glass of wine, be sure to bring 4 glasses and enough wine to share.

Seem small from the outside but it was pretty decent size hotel. They had free wifi through the hotel.
Room: I got a ocean view double bed room. It was pretty nice. The view was beautiful. I like the décor of the bathroom except the see through glass on the bathroom door.
Service: The front desk were very courteous and warm welcoming. Housekeeping service did a phenomenal job.
On the down side, I wish they had a restaurant in the hotel that is ²⁴⁄₇. They only got a small franchise Starbucks shop.

We were just here for an extended weekend.
The room was outstanding. Full wrap around balcony so you could see the ocean in the morning and watch the sunset in the evening.
Access to the beach is easy. The pool is nice and the outdoor bar area is very nice.
The large suite was a hit with the family because it gave us a great place to meet and hang out.
Overall the staff is friendly and very helpful.
You have restaurant and bar across the street for a little change up.
We will be back!

I fell in love with the ocean front hotel rooms. The beds and pillow were really comfy, the shower was really big and pretty, see through doors, and the big sink in the bathroom was really nice too. The balcony was nice, had 2 chairs and a table. I thought the glass should be a little lower so that when you’re sitting you’re not looking through the glass at the ocean.
Complimentary breakfast was good. You had the option to make eggs to order. Their outside bar and grill by the pool was nice. Good food and drinks.
They have a little bridge to the beach.
