I absolutely love the bartenders… Love the blackened garlic shrimp… But no matter what time of day I stop by the daft beer is always WARM, uch!

How to review Bluesy’s? Simply a laid back bar and restaurant that has great views of the Indian river. Bird enthusiasts can see many varieties from the outside bar/dining area. In summer, kids jump from the bridge. If you want fast service, it’s not your place. Relax, and enjoy. Drink, and savor. It’s a great place, with great views, and friendly people.

We used to frequent this place when it was Dena’s. We had not heard good things about the new establishment but figured we would try it anyway. I asked the bartender outside if I could bring in my Maltese and she said«only if I can pet it.» We sat outside and were quickly greeted by a waitress with a smile and a bowl of water for the dog. The selection of draft beers was adequate and the lunch we had was great. I had a fish Reuben and my wife had a Ceasar Salad with calamari. Both were great and my wife said it was the best calamari she has ever had. As I learned over many years going to the Keys the best places are the ones you really have second thoughts about entering. We will go back many times for sure. And as an indication of my satisfaction of this place it has taken me about 30 minutes to jump through all of Unilocal’s hoops to post it!

Bluesys has old style Jensen Beach charm AMAZINGFOOD and the wait staff who will make you feel right at home. We have been for breakfast lunch and dinner and thoroughly enjoyed every meal. Oh and yes sometimes there is a smell — but it’s the Indian River’s mud and you can’t go anywhere in Jensen at low tide and not catch a whif — so go enjoy the awesome fresh food, enjoy the views and watch the amazing wildlife. — we have seen dolphins on several occasions!

Waitress staff is very friendly, food is excellent, the beer was cold and served in a frosty mug! I had a jalapeño burger with coleslaw and it was cooked to perfection the coleslaw tasted home made and is the best around town that I’ve tasted so far. Definitely give it a try!

Was a bit leary after seeing some of the other reviews but we are happy we gave it a try. I had the backened snapper dinner. It comes with 2 sides and a salad. My husband had the happy burger and really did love it. I posted a picture in the photos. It had a burger, sausage link, bacon, fried egg, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and happy sauce on top. We also had a cup of clam chowder that was really good. We will most certainly be going back. The only downside that I can see is that they only serve beer and wine. A nice tropical cocktail would be good here while sitting by the water enjoying the breeze.

Never again. We walked in out of curiosity since we drive past it on the way to the beach, and walked out before a single bite. I see the appeal of the waterfront dining, but that also comes with a sewer pipe to be smelled by diners. I can’t say I’m familiar with the whole outdoor smoking scene being from NJ, but this was just out of control. Long story short, after being told frankly by the waitress that the tap doesn’t work and they are aware of «the smell», I grabbed my purse and we went to crawdaddy’s down the block.

We are always excited for a new place to open in Jensen Beach, as was the case with this place. We gave it 4 tries so far, and all ended in disappointment. Beer(Coors Light) either out or warm. Wait staff not trained on menus. Long waits for food and beer. We really hope this is just«new opening» kinks that needed to be worked out, went again as of last weekend they were still having trouble serving cold beer. We will keep trying and will update if things chainge.

Lunch at the Happy Snapper was a great experience. I had the fish and chips and my companion had a grilled fish Reuben. The meals were well done and the service was great. Our server was actually the hostess and couldn’t have been more helpful or friendly. The restaurant sits on the Indian River at the mainland side of the Jensen Beach Causeway. Parking is a bit of a challenge, but worth the effort. If you’re in the area, be sure to add Happy Snapper to your list.

We had a terrific time there one Saturday afternoon. As we were driving away, however, we noticed a large sign on the outside wall that advertised beer for $ 2 and wine for $ 4 during happy hour, which is listed as everyday until 7 p.m. When we got home, I checked our receipt, and we were charged full price for our drinks. This ruined an otherwise good experience. If you go before 7 p.m., be sure to make sure you are getting the special prices.

We tried this place today instead of our regular Lily’s for something new since it’s on the water. This was a rare cold day in FL temps in the 40’s, we walked in to temps in the 40’s inside as well. They had no heat on. I don’t know about you but having breakfast in the cold isn’t very fun. It took about 15 mins to get a cup of coffee because they had one pot for the entire place and were making a new pot. As for the food, we had french toast with bacon, very limited breakfast menu because this place is actually a bar that serves lunch mostly and I think it should stay that way. The view of the water is great for a bar and bar food. Our french toast was chewy almost as if it was frozen microwave french toast, bacon was undercooked and the juice and milk were served in plastic cups. Overall we won’t be back for breakfast but I’m not giving up on trying lunch for the outdoor seats with a view.

After catching the sunrise on the beach, breakfast at the Happy Snapper was the perfect way to spend a Saturday morning. The recent remodel is amazing, and the owner has created a beautiful outdoor experience. Things were pretty quiet at 7am, but we will definitely return for happy hour sometime in the near future. Both the pancake breakfast and the biscuits and gravy were delicious. The wait staff was attentive and created happy atmosphere which was fun to be a part of. If you haven’t stopped by recently– give it a shot!

We stopped in and gave Bluesy’s/Bluezy’s Happy Snapper a try for lunch. Wow, what a difference the new owners have made. The place looks fantastic!(We am figuring they have much happier attitudes then that old Sea Hag, Dena’s was.) We had Blackened 2ea. Mahi Tacos and 2ea. Grilled Shrimp Tacos. Delicious and overflowing with all of the trimmings; we were surprised at how much fish and shrimp were stuffed into them. Fries were good and crispy. We ordered Chips and Salsa, first. The were a-ok in our book. Our Server was attentive, very nice and performed her job well. She never left us alone for too long and never let our drinks go dry.(Very important points in our book.) We will definitely stop in again; we recommend you do too.
