History

Established in 1939.

Jericho Manor Apartments was built in 1939 by a local entrepreneur and philanthropist named Jack Merriam. Mr. Merriam built Jericho Manor and other communities as though he and his wife would live in them. This vision led to more closet space and square footage than you would ordinarily see in neighboring apartment communities. For Jericho Manor, it meant that the buildings would be tucked into the wooded hillside letting the landscape shape the apartments — not the other way around. Each apartment offers a special view of the surrounding woods and park that is truly unique.
