Standard Security Services, Inc. has been in business for over 35 years. When Ken Crutchfield purchased the business in 1992, it was a security guard business. Soon, Ken purchased into the franchise, Dynamark Security and expanded services to include security systems for home and commercial and fire systems. Later, he eliminated the security guard portion of the business; however, expanded his services to include Entertainment systems, including wide screen TV installation, camera/​surveillance systems (closed circuit TV), home theater, home and commercial intercom systems, and access control systems (keyless entry). After graduating from Florida State with a Math degree, Ken Crutchfield worked in Louisville, Kentucky as a manager for the US Dept. of Defense for 13 years. The government closed the local federal agency where he worked (Defense Mapping) and offered to move his posiiton out of state. Ken chose instead to stay in the Kentuckiana area by purchasing Standard Security Services, Inc., a guard service for Louisville and Southern Indiana. Ken quickly purchased into the franchise of Dynamark Security and began expanding his services to include security and fire systems for home and commercial.
