The zip line canopy tour is fully-​guided and includes 8 zip lines, 2 bridges and 2 rappels. Open year-​round.

= Treetop Obstacle Course

Balance, jump, crawl, climb, dash, slide, and swing your way through the trees on our Treetop Obstacle Course. Designed for those who like to get physical; course offers challenges for participants 4 years to adult. 80+ elements.

= Climbing Adventure

Test your climbing prowess on a simulated rock wall, innovative tree climbs and vertical obstacles. 15+ obstacles. Perfect for youth birthday parties.

= Adventure-​based Team Building

Based on the belief that all teams need to practice. Half-​day, full-​day, and multi-​day programs are available for adult professional and corporate groups as well as school, youth and community groups.

Established in 2010.

ArborTrek Canopy Adventures was established in 2009 by challenge course builder, designer, and operator, Michael Smith, with the goal of being the premier zip line canopy tour and adventure park operator in North America.

ArborTrek Canopy Adventures at Smugglers’ Notch, VT /​Stowe, VT opened its doors in the Fall of 2010 in partnership with Smugglers’ Notch Resort as ArborTrek’s flagship location. Based on a passion to educate, entertain, and inspire, ArborTrek has developed a series of family-​friendly eco-​adventures unique to the region that showcase the best of Northern Vermont and provide unforgettable adventures.

Business Owner

Long-​time challenge course facilitator, trainer, and builder, Michael Smith, was familiar with the power of novel experiences, the need to preserve wilderness, and the concept of edutainment. Smith’s values of preservation of wild places, adventure, and passion for delivering unforgettable experiences are crafted into each ArborTrek program.

«It’s easy to get stuck in the rush of everyday and forget to stop, look around, and appreciate all of the beauty that surround us. Our tours are designed to marriage the excitement of the unknown with small group experiences that challenge individuals and groups, and foster an appreciation for the natural world,» says Smith. «Secretly, I think everyone dreams of flying… and there’s no freer feeling than soaring through the forest and landing on a perch high above the forest floor.»
