My wife and I ordered at 12:10 pm Sunday for some breakfast, being a lazy morning. The 2 steak and egg breakfasts came just after 1:00 pm and my wife’s steak was medium as ordered and mine was a piece of leather, dog wouldn’t eat it and we have a German Shepherd. That wait was uncalled for, hire some people, dirty dishes at our table and about 5 others when we walked in. Never knowing that the day would be half over b4 walking out, we did leave a 10% tip… lol

Well hello there delicious not-so-little burger! We walked in not expecting much — but looking to try somewhere new for us. Our kids had pancakes and were tickled that they came out mouse style with a little whip cream and chocolate chips. My husband and I both picked burgers — southwest style for him and mushroom and Swiss for me. They were delicious! Nicely cooked, great flavor and on a non traditional — almost, if not, a ciabatta like — bun. Decent crinkle fries, too. I’m pretty sure we live here a year before we even realized this was a restaurant. Inside is a couple decades behind, 90/00s country music is loud and proud and the walls are covered with serious Packer pride. I loved being in here. It was cozy and sweet. I look forward to many more family meals shared here. Incredibly well priced too — about $ 25 it’s tip for two ½lb burgers and fries, and two orders of kids pancakes with bacon.

This is my favorite breakfast place, well worth the few minutes off of the interstate if you are driving Milwaukee/Madison, worth a drive to get there, or most definitely my favorite«local» place! There is a lot of Packer’s memorabilia crammed into this place, a relaxed setting, even has a counter where you can dine and pretend you are a PI just passin’ thru. A mom/pop type restaurant, it is owned locally, and the cook makes his own soups and recipes. Some food is typical«mom/pop» or truck stop/diner fare, some is a surprise from the expected fare, with in-house made soups from the chef owner. This is not gourmet food, this is just great Midwestern, good old country fare. My favorite is always potato skittle with my choices of added peppers, and onions, and sour cream to cool it off. The chorizo tastes like it is made at a small butcher shop. Some of the sandwiches taste like homemade, some of the soups do also. I think that they are all made in-house. Friendly, professional servers. I have never had to wait long for my food, even when they are slammed. VERY family priced, I was pleasantly surprised when I started eating here. I figure I should make up for the bucks I spend and give it to the server in the tip, huh?!

Went back to Urbans for breakfast. I ordered the Classic Others in our party had pancakes and a skillet much better than my last visit. However potatoes still undercooked and service not very attentive. Not so busy but restaurant is a good place to sit and chat. No one rushes you out. Caught up with relatives. I’ll go back but hope more focus put on cooking potatoes on both sides and through and through and a little more server attention will be nice.
