Memories and More

Took an hour and half to get food and restaurant was only half full! According to Unilocal tilapia was best but they were out. Tried all recommended appetizers stuffed mushrooms and crab cake but they were over cooked and not good. This place is not good at all. Save ur money.

Excellent service and fabulous food! My husband and I tried this place while on a recent trip to Jefferson. The atmosphere of the restaurant feels «uptown» with a bit of a New Orleans flair. Since it was a Monday night, live music was not being played but piano music was played with the help of a player piano.
I ordered the special which was the chicken salad. Fabulous! It was just the right amount and was placed on a bed of lettuce with fresh grapes, cantaloupe and honey dew melon. Very fresh! I wanted to lick my salad bowl.
We were also served fried baguettes. Oh my goodness! We liked them so much that our waitress ended up bringing us more.
Our waitress was personal and very friendly. She was prompt and attentive. We definitely hope to come back the next time we are in Jefferson.

Finding this place on our most recent trip to Jefferson was the crowning moment of our weekend. Honestly, Memories and More has become our new favorite establishment to patronize while staying in this quaint historic town. The food was prepared and presented with great care, and was appealing to the eye and palate without being overly pretentious. Quality is certainly a high priority in the kitchen, and the front of the house’s service was extremely efficient and friendly.
The entertainment for the evening was stellar. A young man, Thomas from Louisiana, serenaded the crowd with velvety vocals of old standards while accompanying himself on the ivories. The ambience reminded me of dining at any number of old exposed brick walled establishments in New Orleans.
Needless to say, I highly recommend this place. You will not be disappointed. By the way, try the bread pudding. Being a Louisiana trained chef myself, I can tell you with confidence, these folks are doing things right.
Hands down, this was the best and most memorable dining experience we have ever had in East Texas. Thank you, Memories and More. We will definitely return.

Totally unexpected experience in Jefferson. Enjoyed the meal immensely, I had the salmon and my wife had the shrimp. Both dinners prepared as we waited and well worth the wait.

Had a steak dinner tonight. Medium rare. Cooked to perfection. Melted in my mouth. OMG perfect. Loved the people too.

This place is amazing. From being greeted at the door with the sounds of an accomplished pianist/​vocalist, being seated by the attentive owner, sipping drinks, noshing on an endless array of delightful appetizers and entrees, to coffee and desserts… Well. I say YES.
The oysters Bienville were perfect, I had the best crab cake I’d ever had, the stuffed mushrooms were spot on, and the cocktails were potent and flavorful.
Plan on taking your time – the kitchen takes a bit of time as it prepares each plate – but it is totally worth it.

The food here is excellent and and service is good. The prices for the food is a decent price. I will recommend this place to anyone going to Jefferson who wants a good meal and a relaxing atmosphere.

This was a fantastic dining experience. We were strolling along and found this place. We were met with a warm greeting and the service throughout was fantastic! The menu has something for everybody, steaks, seafood, Po-​Boys. I had the Oysters Bienville as an appetizer and wow, they were awesome!!! My better half had the Angels on Horseback for a main course, and those were scrumptious as well. Definitely will be telling friends to stop here when they are in town.
