In times when the situation calls for a less than permanent solution, CORT makes filling your home as easy as possible. Choose from one of several pre-​designed «Move-​in Ready» packages, or pick your own style and furnish room-​by-​room or piece-​by-​piece. CORT even has special packages for students moving off campus and military packages for service members on the move.

Businesses count on CORT to help them achieve greater financial and operational flexibility. Furniture rental gives companies a tool for growth and a hedge against risk, so whether you’re just starting a business, or expanding or contracting it, CORT offers the right solution.

Clearance Centers:

CORT Furniture Clearance Centers offer exceptional value on a variety of top quality, previously leased furniture for sale. Furnishings are CORT Certified, which means that we guarantee that if you are not satisfied with your purchase, you can return it within 14 days for a refund; or if any product purchased from our Clearance Center is found to be defective within 90 days of purchase, it will be repaired or replaced.

History

Established in 1972.

CORT began by offering furniture rental to properties, students, and military for their temporary residential needs. This included opening clearance centers to sell the pre-​rented furniture, providing high-​quality furniture at value pricing to consumers nationwide. In the late 1970s, CORT responded to the growing need for corporate and special event furnishings and started both the office furniture rental business and the trade show and events business.

Since that time, CORT has expanded globally and extended its business to offer housewares, relocation services, apartment location, and party rentals.

In 2000, CORT was purchased by Warren Buffett and became a Berkshire Hathaway Company.

Today, CORT has more than 100 showrooms, clearance centers, and distribution facilities across the U.S., operations in the UK, and a Global Network of partners servicing more than 85 countries around the world.
