Vegas Extreme Skydiving-Drop Zone

The best sky diving experience ever! This is my first time flying so I was very nervous and scared. The staffs here make me very comfortable after talking to them. They are very professional and nice throughout the whole process. The facility was very nice. Located outside Las Vegas strip about an hour ride. And they have their own shuttle came to the strip to pick you up.

Was very happy with the experience.
I’d jumped before with a group out of Moab, and that class made me feel much more prepared than the brief chat that was given here. However I still enjoyed the experience!

Great place to go skydiving and the staff is very friendly.
Video is not worth it though, unless you want a project afterwards. $ 90 for 5 go pro clips. I’ve been skydiving before and when I got the video, a separate person jumped to record the skydive and then they created a movie with all the clips, which is totally worth the money paid. $ 90 for footage from a go pro off the wrist of your tandem partner isn’t worth it.

I did my first tandem skydive here and my second. Both experiences were amazing. The staff is awesome and they do everything they can to put you at ease and also to make sure you have an amazing experience. The view on the dive is absolutely breathtaking. I’ve since gotten my license to dive solo and recently did my first solo jump there. It was (as expected) awesome. I also liked that the team made sure I was safe. They double and triple checked my gear. Then, when I was on the plane, one of the instructors noticed that my hair was caught in my harness and made sure to let me know and dislodge it. Had they left it, it could have ripped a large chunk of my hair right from my scalp upon deployment. This DZ is really more geared toward Tandem diving, but both Tandem and Solo jumps will not disappoint. Definitely check this place out if you go to Vegas and want to jump. They will even pick you up from your hotel.

Extremely nervous in the beginning but i had to for my sister’s birthday. Everybody was very nice, but the one who made my experience great and memorable was Albert. He is AWESOME! Highly recommend this place for first time jumpers.

Amazing staff very friendly, welcoming, and experienced! The only reason I gave a 3 star instead of a 5 star is because we only got up 10,000 feet high instead of the advertised 14,000−15,000. Those few thousand feet higher make a huge difference in your jump and in the amount of time you free fall. I’m a bit disappointed but jumping out of a plane is always an amazing time. I recommend checking out the other options in the area if you have jumped before.

If you are thinking of doing a skydive, I can’t recommend this place enough. Just go for it!!! Amazing people! :)
Jumping out of a plane at 15,000 feet and flying like a bird is definitely the most amazing experience you will have.
I wanted to do my AFF course for so long, I finally got the time to do it, and I definitely went to the right place!
I had Warren as my tandem partner who was very relaxed, he gave me the right tips to make sure I succeeded in my next solo jumps. Then, Eddie taught me everything and made me realize the dream I had to jump by myself! :))

Great Experience… A must do while in Vegas!!! These guys are very calming, funny, but professional throughout the whole process. Van will pick you up on the Strip (at the MGM Grand was our pickup), drive you to the drop zone. While riding you will sign your life away, basically, if you die it is not their responsibility… GOOD LUCK. Then you will watch a video. We arrived and waited for our jump… We were in the morning group so it didn’t take long. After suiting up, you are pretty much on your way… After demonstrating the manuevers with our instructor we were off…
Enter the plane, fly up in the sky, hang your feet over the edge of the plane, and SEE YA!!! Your off… What a rush and feeling to be actually jumping out of a plane… One of those once in a lifetime experiences. Thank you guys at VES for making my experience AWESOME!!!

We jut got done with another jump at VES. Even now they are still extremely professional and accommodating to everyone’s needs. We ended up buying a video which was put on a thumb stick. This is great because our friends love in Europe and a DVD would have been a different format. I always bring my friends from out of town to VES. Eddie and the VES crew never let us down! Thanks for the great times!

Went skydiving with 3 of my friends, and only one of us had been before. We had an amazing time. My tandem jumper, Kevin, was hilarious and extremely knowledgeable. All of us felt very safe and informed the entire time. Very grateful for the military discount we got for the two heroes we had with us. I got a taste of skydiving and am hooked. I am so glad we chose to dive with these guys!

Hands down, the best part of our Vegas experience! Don’t hesitate, just make it happen! These guys are the best!

This was the most amazing experience ever! I cannot wait to do it again. The staff was amazing, funny, nice, and really make you feel comfortable. I love a good adrenaline rush and this topped it all!

Jumping out of a perfectly good airplane is something everyone should experience! With a parachute, of course… and a trusted tandem instructor.
I recommend taking the shuttle, even if you’re local. After you arrive and are suited up, you’ll fly to 15,000 feet (higher than the average jump altitude) and experience about 45 seconds of freefall bliss before your chute deploys. My instructor allowed me to steer, so of course I yanked hard for an incredible spiral toward I-​15.
Be prepared for the adrenaline! It’s a rush unlike any other you’ve achieved. And it’s addicting. I’m already prepping for my next jump.

I had the most amazing time, I loved every minute of my jump!!! I could not have asked for a better way to start my 40^th birthday off, everyone was sooo nice & great they just added to the experience. Thank You! especially to Brian for making my first jump so amazing!!!

These guys are amazing. They are so much fun and professional that they put you at ease right away. This was my first time and I can’t wait to go again. We plan to go to Las Vegas as an annual trip and will skydive with these guys every year. What an awesome experience!

Best experience ever! You immediately want to go again as soon as you land. Very laid back staff. They got the process down so you don’t stand around. Kinda funny, you get more instruction taking off in a plane than jumping out of one.
If you’re not a tourist I feel you get «special» treatment.

I came skydiving here about 3 years ago, and it was my first time.
A shuttle had picked up my friend and I from our hotel, and brought us to the actual location. Once you got there you had to fill out some forms, watch a safety video, and get suited up!
My instructor Andre was great. He was very humorous and lighthearted, and I found him very funny. Although maybe to some first timers who are extremely nervous, it wouldn’t be appropriate with some of the jokes he made. He had said You scared? I was like nope and he said you should be, you dont have a parachute on. I replied. yea but you do! and he said oh dont worry about me.
There was about 10 people that was in our group, and unknowingly I went into the plane last. which meant I was to jump out first. While going up in the air, Andre had tapped me on the shoulder and said, «Guess what?!! You’re first!» I was totally pumped and ready for it because I love thrilling experiences. I think going out first was a good idea because you wont be anxious from seeing people go before you.
The first few moments when you slide out of the plane feels amazing, and not quite as I expected. Since you are so far up in the air, it doesn’t feel like you’ll be hitting the ground and the time you spend freefalling almost seems unreal. Andre made sure I had the proper form throughout those few moments so I wouldnt hurt myself and it seems a lot longer than it actually is. Once the parachute was lifted, he had said to me «welcome to my office!!» It was a peaceful 3 minutes parachuting down with a view of Las Vegas. Although it was mostly a view of the desert, it was still exciting to be able to see across the city. Skydiving is such an exhilarating experience and everybody should try it at least once in their life.
I did feel a little nauseous on the car ride back, but it was probably from the nerves. It may be pricey but its definitely worth it. You should get a video too if possible for a memorable experience! Sometimes there might be more of a wait due to weather or amount of people but other than that, this location is great for first timers! You even get a free shirt at the end.
People that work here are easygoing, have a great sense of humor, and makes you feel comfortable which is a big plus for those who are anxious/​nervous. I definitely recommend Vegas Extreme Skydiving !

This was my second time skydiving (first time was out in San Diego a couple years ago), so I didn’t have any real pre-​flight jitters. It’s still as awesome as ever — there’s nothing like freefalling at 120mph from nearly 3 miles up. Once we showed up, it was pretty straightforward — sign the contracts, watch the requisite video on safety and your rights, and then that’s pretty much it. This is a pretty small shop — everyone who’s there to take down all your info go up and do the tandem jumps — so you may have to wait a little bit once you’ve gotten everything done. That said, I like jumping with a much smaller group — we had 4 tandems + 1 solo in our plane — as opposed to my first jump, which was probably with 10 – 15 people (not including the instructors who jumped in tandem). It may just be a comfort thing, but I like it a lot more when you just slide onto the edge of the plane and let it go, instead of waiting behind a bunch of people. You land (what I’d guess is) a few miles from the takeoff spot; a shuttle will drive you back. No chairs or anything; just hop in and remember what the rush felt like.
The only real downside of the experience was that the memory card John had in his wrist camera wasn’t working, so I only have the video — but they were real sports and charged me a discounted price for the video only (i.e. taking the photo + video discounted price and subtracting out the full photo price). It was still a phenomenal experience, and all of the guys here have a great sense of humor — real good, especially since one of the guys we jumped with was acrophobic. If you’re expecting spectacular views of Vegas, don’t get your hopes up — you are more than 20 miles from the Strip, so the most you’ll see are the faint outlines of the hotels. That said, the price was pretty reasonable and in-​line with what I’ve seen elsewhere, and the folks who run the place are very friendly and outgoing. Definitely recommend jumping here if you’re in Vegas and looking for a real thrill!

I did this about 4 years ago for my Girlfriend Bach Party!
I was able to grab a good 30 people to join us for this jump! in which case we got a pretty sick discount.
We got picked up in the morning at the Excalibur, and on the way they gave us a couple of forms to sign our lives away!
We arrived at our destination in the middle of the desert and watch a good 20 minute video — Than we were asked to put on our suits and than we were pared off in groups to do our jumps!
Going up was a breeze and honestly I didn’t start to get nervous until I saw my friend and his instructor jump out! «ohhh shiiiiii»
So the initial jump came so fast, i barely felt that tummy churning feeling.
I was so distracted from the pain in my ears that i couldnt really ENJOY (not that there were much view to enjoy except for the highway and sand) everything!
Make sure to unplug your ears before going down!
He did a couple of crazy twirls in the air before we land– this caused a couple of my friends to get nauseous– thankfully i didnt feel that way!
all in all — it was a good experience. but i think it be better in Hawaii or something where there is a better view!
