Dr. James received his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and graduated from the Southern College of Optometry. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Georgia Optometric Association. He is currently the president of the local GOA district.

What a great staff! My insurance covers «some» of the expense for visits and glasses. I could go where I have more coverage with my insurance but I choose Dr. James and his staff at Jasper eye clinic. My daughter has ADHD. Every time she goes in, she is greeted with hugs and kindness. Dr. James has chosen a great staff to support him and he is a wonderful Dr. with great customer service skills as well. He spent at least 10 minutes just chatting about my career and the companies I worked and work for. My daughter loves this place and WE ALL know what it’s like taling a child to a Dr. visit… My husband had an ulcer in his eye over a year ago. Just so happens we were getting married THAT week at the beach. Dr. James had him come back before we left and EVEN had his staff find a location at Myrtle Beach for him to be re-​evaluated to make sure his eye was ok. My Aunt ironically had the same issue a few months ago… ulcer in her eye and we referred her to Dr. James. He took good care of her and made sure to get her in even though they were booked! I am glad my insurance pays a portion but I have told many and I mean what I say… if I had to pay full price. .I would still go there. It’s the customer service that keeps me coming back.
