History

Established in 1975.

Blackwell’s Body Shop was founded in 1975 as a «paint shop.» Monroe Blackwell was determined to use his high school hobby of painting cars as a way to earn an income. As customers grew to appreciate his refinish work, they began to request that he repair their «accident vehicles.» The pride that he took in returning a flawlessly refinished vehicle back to the owner had been rewarding.

The growth of repairing «accident vehicles» propelled Mr. Blackwell into the Collision Repair Business. In 1995, a new facility on Highway 69 South moved the business across the street from its old location. The facility currently has 22,500 sq. ft. and has expanded their services by adding a complete alignment and tire shop. His commitment to service and customer satisfaction has grown the business to where it is today.
