A&W Restaurant

One star for service. Not greeted upon entry. Waited 20 minutes for an order for two people. They didn’t tell us the cool was on smoke break until after I payed. No apology for having to wait so long. Food given to us pretty rude like. Ask for sauce they toss it on the counter and say «here» won’t be stopping here again

So this is a Long John Silver’s/A&W combo. My wife and I both had Long John Silver’s food, which was decent. I had the crab cake ciabatta which was pretty good. Unfortunately, that was the best part of the experience.
The line was very long, and moved very slowly. They were preparing each order one at a time, and took about 5 minutes on each. If you’re going to be in fast food, you have to do better than that! When I ordered, the cashier was about as pleasant as a gruff barmaid in a big city 30 minutes before closing. As I’m ordering my crab cake ciabatta, and I’m in mid-​sentence, she shouts at the top of her lungs «TWO CRAB CAKES!» OK, I don’t mind her calling my order back to the kitchen, but at least let me finish my sentence, then turn your head back towards the kitchen instead of shouting it in my face!
Now lastly, and most importantly, this was an A&W, but guess what they were out of? That’s right! No rootbeer! Seriously?! How can they run out of their signature product in the middle of lunch?
Well, I hope the next time I decide to visit an A&W, which aren’t too common, I will have a better experience (at least some rootbeer). I love good rootbeer, and their rootbeer is freshly made… when they have it.
