I came here on a whim to try something new for dinner. I ordered the 8 piece chicken combo; half grilled and half fried. Along with their sides: plantains, corn salad, rice, and chicken empanadas. My food took less than ten minutes to come out. I was excited to get home and dig in. Ugh what a mistake. Pollo Campero I wanted to like you. I really did, but the food here needs work. The Peruvian style lime infused chicken was tasteless. The fried chicken had a hint of seasoning but nothing to write home about. The empanadas were filled with grease. I thought I asked for chicken not oil empanadas. As soon as I bit into the empanada out comes a pepito pepper and three tablespoons of oil squirted out. The empanada was so oily that it overpowered the chicken filling. The plantains were just as oily. To the point that I had to pat them dry to get some of the excess oil off. Don’t even think about ordering the corn salad. I’m not sure what was going on but my palate did not like it. I’m not fond of anything here. You’ve been warned.

The food was alright but my main disappointment was the waiting time(30) minutes for 1 order, when the cashier(Karla) noticed I was standing there for(30) minutes she exclaimed«you still don’t have your food».I politely said no so after a 30 minute wait I waited 15 more minutes for them to prepare my order because apparently I was forgotten. when I received my food I debated wether I eat in but after seeing the same filthy tables cluttered with the same plates an garbage i seen a hour before I got their I decided it wasn’t sanitary. Food is decent. Service is slow. Ordered comparitos, and they were very small. I’ve ordered them before but they keep getting smaller. Not worth price paid

The chicken and everything else is great at this place. They do not serve anything bad. The service is the reason for the 1 star. I waited 25 mins for my order two grill chicken pic and fries. After getting pissed I asked the cashier for my order he said“oh you didn’t get your order yet? Damn I forget to give them the ticket”

Great Food, But service is horrible!!! This establishment needs all new staff from the manager down. There was 1 cashier, when it was time for her to leave she left the long line and left, then another girl comes and a guy can’t in and she’s arguing with him that he’s late, he had friends posted up and he’s hanging out with them instead of working. The manager is the worst. How they lose my ticket and get an attitude.?? I waited 40 minutes for my food. … Ridiculous I’ll never go to this one again.

I tried this place one day because I was waiting for the bus across the street from it and realized that I was hungry abd didn’t have anything at home that I wanted. I got a combo I think it was 6.99 came with a quarter chicken either grilled or fried, two sides dinner roll and a soda. The chicken is supposed to be Peruvian style. The flavor was just ok. What I didn’t like was the texture. It was rubbery. I got the vegetable rice and the coleslaw with it. The rice was good, a good flavor and cooked correctly. The coleslaw would have been good if it wasn’t too salty. I’m used to my coleslaw having a little bit of tang & sweetness. It was fresh though at least, so was the roll. They have some hot sauces on the side that are pretty good & add flavor. I guess for 6.99 you can’t go wrong. Maybe the chicken will be better next time. They do take debit & credit which is good

I came here purely out of chance bc I was on jury duty and not much around to get excited over. so I see this what looked like a typical Peruvian chicken spot and when I got closer looks more like a budding franchise. They had a nice array of different Spanish dishes fried chicken of course and grilled as well. I went with the grilled chicken with a side of yuca fries(which were made fresh not frozen) and I was very impressed with the chicken full of flavor not dry at all and the guava juice was very good not too sweet. If I have jury duty tomorrow I’ll probably come back

Holy shit what a bunch of f*ck tards working here. I wish I can give this place half a star. First off everyone is slow as shit in here… at doing anything. Taken your order takes 10 minutes because the workers are to busy talking about what their doing after work dude just take my fucking order. The two girls packing the orders take the ticket goes behind the packing area and starts bsing. I had to say«wtf can you pack my order and hurry the f*ck up». To the owners oh this shit hole, as I’m walking out I see u have a hiring sign please take note and don’t hire anyone.

Great food! Horrible Service! Only one cashier, long lines(I wait 30min) and bad orders! Why? You just open last week! Trust me I will not come back anymore!

The wait was a bit extra but the line moved faster than the first time I peeked in the door. Twety feet from the door, two cashiers, people ready to order and I was in and out in about 25 minutes. Now this was not without incident. I ordered grilled, I got fried buy they quickly fixed it and it was tasty as ever. Be patient and enjoy… the Tamarindo was looking tasty but I’m on a diet, lol.

It nice to have Pollo campero in the neighborhood. Service is nice but also slow at the same time. Once you place your order there is a long wait to receive your food which is not cool with so many workers there why is the wait so long when I want my food to go? And by time you get your food and get home the chicken is warm. They need to work on the timing of getting food to the customers better. But other than that the food is okay.

Let me start by saying that they’ve done a soft opening. I believe their grand opening is the first week of June. That being said, they currently need work on their operations. Long wait times and wrong orders should be fixed immediately. As for the chicken, it was tasty with the green sauce. However, the size of the pieces were smaller than I had hoped. It’s hard to get value at Pollo Campero, when they’re in a neighborhood that already has cheap food.
