One of my favorite hidden gems for organic and healthy eating/living. I always come here for protein power, nuts, sugar free cookies and pretty much everything. Very compact store but good things come in small packages. If you’re in the area check them out!

A compact store with a wide variety of products. Truly a vegan/vegetarian paradise in the middle of the hustle and bustle of Queens. So glad I found the place and the neighboring restaurants. Plus they have kombucha which is amazing!!! And the staff were helpful, wonderful and very friendly!

It’s a little pricey some of the items, but I always come here to get my organic bananas! Everything here is organic, so you’re getting what you’re paying for. All of the people that work here are VERY knowledgable and kind and helpful. I love coming by here every week!

The store is relatively small and intimate, but the selection is pretty good. The sales associates are very helpful and knowledgeable about all the items in the store. The prices aren’t fantastic but the quality of the items are great. I love coming here and will not go anywhere else!

I stopped in tonight quickly while my daughter was at a school Christmas party and was impressed. The owner was friendly, very helpful, and patient as I came in shortly before closing time. The place is well stocked and has a nice atmosphere. I’ll be revisiting for sure.

outstanding selection of organic produce. also they have raw protein bars and snacks. my favorite raw rev bars are the best price in new york. For a small store they have an unbelievable supplement selection. everything you need for breakfast lunch and dinner in one place.

I LOVE this health food store and shop there at least once a week. It may seem expensive, but since I live within walking distance and I don’t have to pay for transit fares and prefer to support small community businesses, I don’t mind the prices. It’s generally cheaper than the average Whole Foods grocery run. Also they have a frequent buyer discount card – if you buy $ 20 or more worth of groceries, you get a green stamp. 10 stamps=$ 20 of FREE groceries! Hello! How many health food stores have that perk? That makes up any price difference for me and the guys who work there are so polite and very helpful. I’ve been a loyal customer for over 2 years… take my word for it.

PROS: Wide selection of natural & organic packaged food, frozen food, bulk grains and nuts, supplements, etc., with a lot of familiar brands and a few unique items. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. CONS: Very tight isles, with little room to walk. Expensive compared to other health food stores. I don’t live in the neighborhood, but if I did, I’m sure I would shop here often.

I can’t believe it took two years of walking by this little store for me to finally take a look around. What have I been waiting for?! I know, the light blue buildings and the Sri Chinmoy thing have kind of made me feel like it’s an exclusive establishment for the followers, but this time I didn’t care, I wanted to find some gluten free crackers(they are delicious) Walking in I realized just how small this store was. The first thing you see coming in is a whole wall of nuts and candies in by-the-pound storage to scoop your own. They have soap, vitamins, incense, a frozen section, food oils and essential oils, candy, lots of different kinds of flours, seeds, and the gluten free crackers I was looking for(rosemary something or other by crunchmaster, try it, wonderful!) Tons of stuff that you might be looking for if you like to try to find whole, healthy options. The prices aren’t competitive, as someone else said, but since it’s right here in the neighborhood, it’s worth the extra dollar sometimes. I’ll definitely be coming back as long as I live nearby!

Guru Health foods has been a staple on this block for over 15 years and it is an oasis in the greater neighborhood for health food products. While it is small, and therefore not the greatest variety, they have all the staples you might be looking for in a health food store including bulk grains and dried products, pre-made sandwiches, organic groceries, frozen foods and health care products. While their prices are not very competitive, the kind and very knowledgeable staff from the Sri Chimmoy will always give you service with a smile.

This is a small health food store but it is a much needed gem in the neighborhood. The staff is really nice and very easy to talk to. They have a variety of foods. I would suggest shopping around though. I have bought items here that I found cheaper at other grocery stores. But there are other times when this store has item’s that I can’t find anywhere else.

Great find! While in search for my favorite alternative drink(Pacific Foods oat milk), I discovered this little natural foods shop. They carry a wide variety of vegeterian and vegan foods and supplements. They also sell body products — shampoos, conditioners, creams, etc.
