Food doesnt taste too good. Every time I come in here the servers are extremely rude and move so slow as if they don’t even wanna get any food for you. Get another job if you do wanna be here there. The level of rudeneas in this place is ridiculous

Well my check in enthusiasm did not match my experience. The menu was legit west Indian food, but the quality of my meal was nothing to rave about. I ordered the vegetarian roti. A good roti stays soft but this one quickly began to harden around the edges. The soy chunks were bathed in a slightly tasty curry. As with any authentic Caribbean experience, the service is slow and rather blasé’. I didn’t have a chance to return to try anything else.

I have to say the food was incredible. My mom and I Had the oxtail and curry goat. For a size small, the portions were huge! The service was great considering there were two women working behind the counter. The food came quick and the women were lovely. I Will definitely come again !!!

The service in this place is the pits. The food is just OK. During my first visit, I ordered goat roti and got a roti full of bones. I know that goat is a bony meat. But these were just slightly meaty bones. I was so shocked I took a before and after picture that I’ll have to share. Today I knew my work break was going to be short so I called in advance using the menu that I had picked up when I was last there. When they finally picked up the phone on the 17th ring I asked if they had what I wanted(because the first time I went they were out of many things). They said they did and asked if I wanted to place an order and what type I wanted. I said«Yes. Chicken.» Without a word, she hung up on me. Huh? So I immediately called back and asked if she had taken my order. She said yes. I asked how long it would take. She said 20 minutes. I was really glad I had called first. That’s my whole break! I could keep working for another 20 minutes and not waste my break waiting for food to be prepared. So I offered to give her my name, but she told me that was unnecessary. Weird. So I waited 25 minutes, just to be sure, and headed over. When I got there it there were only 2 customers in the place but they were leaned back, monopolizing the counter woman’s time with super-long conversations. I finally was able to get her attention and tell her I was there for a pick-up. She said she knew nothing about it. Then she called into the kitchen to ask if anyone took the order and no one responded that they did. So now I was supposed to wait another 20 minutes? For what, another pile of bones from a different animal? The place was deserted. How could they lose 1 of the only 3 orders they had? I was willing to give them a second chance but there is no way that their bony, anorexic food was going to make up for that inexcusably careless service. Why our people gotta do business like that?

It’s a close call on whether this dining experience was more unpleasant than a 2AM visit to the now-shuttered garbage-laden KFC/Taco Bell in the Village. The refusal of the woman who worked here to acknowledge me was perhaps admirable in a performance art sort of way but not conducive to forming a customer-restaurant relationship. She turned away when I walked in. When I sat down, she began putting chairs on the tables. Since the posted closing was more than 90 minutes away I thought I was safe. I figured that if I waited she’d have to talk to me eventually but I gave up. I asked if they were closed. She didn’t seem to like this question and said they’re not closed. She seemed annoyed that I didn’t know the rules(order at the counter, where no one was working.) Eventually I got the curry chicken dinner. It had subtle spices and was well-prepared, but the canned vegetables didn’t impress me much. The plantains were fresher and sweeter than usual. The rice and peas were average. Overall, there was nothing in the food that will cause me to endure another round of the surliness here.

first let me say the food I ordered was tasty BUT… good news– I ordered stew chicken with rice and peas and vegetables(cabbage). The brown gravy they cooked the chicken in was very good. Plus the dinner was very cheap. bad news– The place looked old and dingy. I hate a restaurant with a dirty floor. The counter girl was very snide and seemed annoyed. décor needs and upgrade.
