They have the best beef tehari in town. Their kabab chef is really good too. try bihari, achari kabab and kabab roll. I personally dont like other stuffs like rice and curries.

I’ve had the sweets and the chicken biryani and I think *Bihari* chicken here and it’s really delicious! When in doubt, just order the ras malai and a container of chicken biryani. My palate was über satisfied!

Overall taste was good and service was excellent. However we were very displeased when we were served cold chicken biriyani. Definitely a place to revisit, especially for the rasgollas.

This is one of the best Indian and Bangladeshi food spot. If you want to try one of the best lamb chops place, this is pretty much it. This place even beats shalimar of San Francisco!!! Kacchi biriyani is second to none. I been coming here for last many years and I always look forward to my NY trip because of this spot.

Pricey and not so great customer service. Used Square application and device for credit card transaction however gave me the wrong receipt for the wrong amount. A piece of fish that costs $ 1, costs $ 5. They should make the fish at least $ 3 per piece. Gave them a 1 star for delicious food.

The food looks good, is served well. The Ambience is nice with the tables centre lit. You are about to say this is good when the bill comes. Everything is not that much expensive .The cover charge is not printed on the menu unlike other restaurants so that when the bill comes it can be added as wanted. There are many other restaurants in the neighborhood. It’s same as other restaurant here. I think it’s a okay restaurant !!

Authentic Bengali fish curry is one of my favorite dishes. This place makes it home style, and I found it delicious! The goat curry was done, but too tough and chewy and should have been cooked until tender, a common problem in South Asian restaurants. We took out a huge pile of food for a very low price. I would definitely eat here again. The dining area was clean and bright. The place was fairly busy at 9:30PM Sunday night, but not too loud and no blaring music or Hindi movies. Very friendly and upbeat staff took care of us nicely.

I was visiting New York for the weekend and my bf and I were looking for a halal restaurant. Wow! This place was awesome! I am not an expert of pakistani food, actually, I barely know anything. But everything I tried here was really good. The Seekh kabab was too spicy for me though, but my bf loved it. The best part though is that we literally stuffed our faces, had left overs, order some somosas to go, and had soda for a total of 23 dollars! Definitely under priced for the great quality of the food. Will def. go again when in Queens

This is a buffet-style place(not all you can eat though). The food is good quality and fresh(at least at 9 pm). Some people were just ordering on the line, but a guy came and helped us through our ordering, which I thought was stellar. I’m not sure if they do that for everyone or he could just tell it was our first time there. The rice looked bland, but looks can be deceiving. It had great flavor. The dal also was good, but be wary of spices; if you are not careful, you will get a mouthful of something that will clear your sinuses. This is not a bad thing though; it makes the food taste great. All three of us ate at this place for 30 dollars and had food to take home.

Decent place with good south asian food. There are tons of other places around here, so I didn’t really know what to try. The kabobs are good, but everything else is subpar.

I have stated that finding a vegetarian place to eat on Jamaica can be a challenge. The line of Bengali restaurants along Hillside Ave makes it a little easier. While none of these restaurants are exclusively vegetarian, they have a good variety of options. When last I was in Ghoroa, I got mixed vegetables, a shredded potato vegetable mix and tons of rice(they give a lot of rice) all for $ 6. Good deal. I have had the samosas and dal in the past. This last time they did not have a non-meat dal(really?). For a filling, good tasting take out(or eat in) enjoy your white rice and the rest of your choosing.

Work brought my coworker and me to this neighborhood and we were hungry. Not only were we on unfamiliar turf, but we were at the mercy of a dead cell battery, meaning no Unilocal Mobile to save the day. I asked a random dude on a street corner what was good to eat. He looked us up and down, decided we looked like we needed some kabobs, and pointed us in the direction of Ghoroa. Well this vagrant knew his kabobs. My coworker and I walked in and noticed a lengthy menu with too many damn choices. I pointed to the juiciest looking kabob on the menu and asked the server how many came in an order. «One.» “ONE?! I haven’t eaten since… 3pm. It is now 730. My stomach is starting to consume itself. I’ll take two orders of the Behari kabob.“ Out came two skewers in all their glory. And man, they were luscious. The bread and rice were, well, bread and rice. You can’t really screw those up. There isn’t much to this place in terms of elegance or ambiance, but who cares, it’s cheap. It’s legit curries and kabobs, and it’s a real, brick-and-mortar restaurant. You no longer have to rely on some schlub serving kabobs out of a street cart with a side of salmonella.

This place was the bomb before something changed. I have been coming here since I was a kid. Surprised it even exists on Unilocal but hey! I would have added it otherwise. So here’s the review: 5⁄5 Stars for the venue. There are many places like this restaurant that serve Bangladeshi(NOTINDIAN) food. This place keeps it clean and has plenty of space. 4⁄5 stars for their food. If the food is fresh, it is good. The paratha(bread?) is really delicious here. The best, if you ask me. SInce the entire area is now crowded with other similar restaurants, this place has maintained some sort of quality. I once had the Chicken Tikka Masala about a year and a half ago and it was super delicious. However, they changed it completely and it is terrible. You lose a star for that little inconsistency. Since I come here when my mom does not feel like cooking, my parents thoroughly enjoy their food. It is made fresh and well. Enjoy. P. S. Their curries are awesome. Very affordable. Try the Biryanis.

After wandering around for a while for lunch, I decided on Ghoroa(Only had an hour, wanted vegetarian food but not salad; Jamaica don’t have much non-meat options). The buffet trays were full, so I guess it didn’t hit busy-time yet(then again, there’s Tikka Garden, Sagar, and Dhaka Sweets down the block). The lady working there was very helpful and I opted for vegetable rice and okra. $ 6 wasn’t bad. I’ve had Sagar before too, menu is pretty similar. Nothing is standing out so far, but I don’t mind going here for Bangladeshi food again.

This is another authentic Bangladeshi spot in the belly of Jamaica, home to many of my Bengali pps. The name itself means ‘Home’ referring to it’s food being homemade. The name delivers. Another great restaurant serving to the local community and giving the other great Bengali restaurants in the area some worthy competition. The venue itself is a nice sit down, clean and spacious. The biryanis, samosas, and curries are all delicious. They’ve opened a second location in Brooklyn, stay tuned for my review on that.
