Our experience was really good, I really like the doctor and the assistance. I have two cats and I also went with my 3 months old baby and they help me with the cats. Such a great experience. It’s a little price but I think it’s the regular price. We adopted our cats and this is the first time I have to go to the vet for vaccination. A plus… They have all the medicine and they can do the test needs in the same hospital. I just had to wait for 20 mins for the results.

Dr. Volel is a very caring and skilled professional. She takes care of our four-​legged loved ones and we wouldn’t trust anyone else. What’s best about Dr. Volel is that she is very reassuring and helps us understand what exactly is going on with our dogs and explains the care she provides.
The negative review here is from someone put off by the website and the email on the site. Unilocal is filled with too many reviews that are superficial and baseless. They are like those Unilocal restaurant reviews about a restaurant where the reviewer didn’t eat any of the food and was just put off by the menu or the sign on the door and decided to post something.
Honestly, if you don’t have anything constructive to say, keep it to yourself. In my day, we used to call this verbal diarrhea, not sure what it’s called in this day and age, either way, it’s ill mannered and in poor taste.

So sorry to say that we were treated inconsequentially. Never informed that our dog needed Bordatella and Distemper vaccinations in order to be groomed (nails clipped at Petco). We specifically asked if he needed these shots and the Doctor told us that if we were not boarding him, then no they were not necessary. She never mentioned that the distemper shot was crucial regardless. He has been to this vet 3 times. Including full examinations (rabies 3 year given at previous vet upstate) and not once was distemper mentioned. Moreover, when the law went into effect this June, they did not even bother to contact us. So off we went to Petco for nail clipping (as we usually do every two months or so) and they cannot clip his nails. What a hassle and a wasted trip. After a call to Animal Hosp of Queens, who had no time to even check his records over the phone with me, they said they just didn’t know why they hadn’t advised us of the new law.
Our dog did have a broken nail and was treated very nicely by the hosp until we had to come back because he was limping due to a too tight bandage. He was much better off without it. And the $ 28 Elizabethan collar… never worn… not even necessary. Big waste of money.
Plus the office smells so horribly. I know it’s a vet, we’ve had cats forever, but this smell is overwhelming. We are not returning to this vet, even though they were recommended by friends of ours. We have since gotten another recommendation and will be going to Juniper Valley Animal Hospital.

I have been a client of over 30+years and spans all my many pets! My ‘furry puppy’ of about 17years, who recently passed, adored Dr. Vovel and now bringing our ‘new furry addition’ of the family to have Dr. Vovel take care of.
I have always been extremely satisfied! Dr. Vovel is Trustworthy, loving, caring, does not over charge, extremely fair, takes the time to listen to concern, patient, returned all my calls always and comforted me on any of my concerns… and Priceless!

Animals sense ‘good people’ and All my dogs loved Dr. Vovel and staff.
I do not live nearby, pass many Animal hospitals and prefer to travel the distance especially to use Dr Vovel’s loving care!
I highly recommend in a heartbeat and worth the travel and any wait no matter how long!

The staff here is very polite, friendly and knowledgeable. The office and patient areas are clean and completely odor free as well. The prices are in my opinion (having gone through about four other vets, mostly due to moving) quite reasonable. Dr. Volel is very professional and knowledgeable. What I am most impressed with is her patience and empathy towards animals. It is evident that she truly cares about animals. My little Marco likes her. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

The vet here is great. She has been very accomodating with my difficult cat for several years now. My cat has had multiple issues, one of which is rather uncommon, and she has been wonderful in helping me deal with all of them. She even contacted a specialist for me when the uncommon issue was difficult to diagnosis accurately. She’s been great and I would definitely recommend her. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because sometimes the wait in the office is a little long. But I’ve been going to this vetrinarian for years and I wouldn’t think of changing.

Are You Kidding Me!!! Who doesn’t have an email address??? This place is insanely out of touch with the world. I went on their website, copied the email address on the website and it didn’t work, tried it twice, didn’t work. I called the office and was told that the doctor doesn’t come in on Fridays and that I’d have to call tomorrow at 8am to get the Doctor’s personal email address because the office does not have an email address. I’m sorry, this really makes me angry. Idiocy makes me angry. In a world where most communication is done via email and txt, why on God’s Earth would you NOT have an email address? Well, i’ll just go somewhere else where I can get an answer to my question before I waste my time traveling.
