History
Established in 2007.
Stonybrook Fine Arts was created in 2007 by Sculptor and Museum of Fine Arts Sculpture teacher Morris Norvin, Anne Sasser artist and founding partner of Diablo Glass and Benjamin Todd, artist and studio tech. This studio was created to bring all forms of sculpture to the novice through the advanced artist. Classes are small and geared towards all levels. The foundry classes teach the whole process from wax to cleaning up the piece after pouring your own molten bronze. This is also a great way for the advanced artist to cast a number of pieces for a fraction of the cost of a commercial foundry. Shoptime is also a huge draw for the studio. After you finish learning how to weld you need a place to do it. Stonybrook offers shoptime on Saturdays. Contact us for more details.

Business Owner
Morris began studying sculpture at the MFA with Ralph Rosenthal when he was 11. He continued until he was 18 and now teaches those same classes. Morris works in all forms of sculpture, but his preferred medium is recycled junk steel. Check out our site for more details about the sculpture classes we offer. Our studio is open to all levels from the beginner to the experienced sculptor who wants to cast their own work in bronze. This is especially helpful in a challenging economy.
