Great service when I had a broken rear window. The service was friendly and helpful, and the repairs were well done.

Poor customer service

I broke the passenger mirror (!) and I went to Arborway (love, love, love Arborway!) and they checked how much it would be to get same mirror from dealer — $ 99.
Suggested I go to JP Glass — went in, they looked it up and it was $ 45. installed!!! fast and efficient and friendly! I almost want to have a broken something just to go back!

Needed a side mirror replaced. They simply glued a new piece of glass over the broken glass instead of cleaning out the broken mirror. Researched online before visiting. Could’ve easily done what they did myself for about ten bucks. Instead I put up with attitude and stories to the tune of $ 45.
Not impressed.

Tiny triangle window, rear passenger side, smashed in an effort to investigate a yellow messenger bag (full of event promo flyers, sorry, dudes, but I guess that teaches me).
Left message at 7:45am, callback at 8, appointment at 3:30 («should be 45 minutes»). It was only 25 minutes, good rate, friendly staff. AMAZING.

i needed the glass in my drivers side mirror replaced, as it was smashed by an unfriendly driver.
i phoned the auto glass, spoke with a very friendly person, and was told the part would be in the next day. a mirror is $ 35 which seemed super reasonable, and with one day turn around time, how can you go wrong. installation was $ 10ish.
i was early to my appointment, so i left my keys and went to Canto 6 for a sandwich. it literally took longer in the sandwich shop than it did for JP auto glass to fix my mirror.
the neighborhood is a little … interesting, however this store is directly across from district 13 police station. have no fear.
tip: when using GPS type in the address with Boston, as the city. imputing Jamaica Plain gets you to the wrong destination.

I tried JP after they were suggested by my mechanic. The first time they tried to put in the new windshield they had the wrong part which caused a delay of a day. The second time, the got the right part but got black rubber stuff all over my car (interior and exterior). Once I drove the vehicle, I noticed some severe wind noise at speeds exceeding 30 mph. They tried to fix it. The wind noise got better, but it leaked when I took it to the car wash a couple days later. They tried to fix it again. It did not leak for about a week, but the wind noise was still there. They may be cheaper, but you get what you pay for. I will never again use this company.
If you have a car that you care about, look somewhere else.

Talk about a life saver. After having my car window smashed while parked in Roxbury, I needed a fast fix since it feels below 15 out and there’s snow and rain ruining the lives of Bostonians. After shopping around, these guys were the cheapest and the quickest. Most people weren’t going to be able to help me for a few days and were charging an arm and a leg, but they got me in the day of for the cheapest cost. Thank you JP Auto Glass for not taking advantage of my desperate circumstances and keeping me from picking up and peacing out of Boston.

My car’s rear triangle window was smashed in on Sunday. I called most of the local auto glass places (Fields Corner Auto Glass, Jackson Glass Co) and the big chains (Giant Glass, JN Phillips) for estimates and JP Auto Glass was the lowest by $ 25. They weren’t able to see me that day (full disclosure: I called them at noon on Monday) but set up an appointment for me the following day. I was in and out in 45 minutes and the glass fits perfectly. The final charge was about $ 10 more than the estimate but it was well worth it.
The next time some joker smashes my window, I’m going to JP Auto Glass.

My car got broken into (welcome to the neighborhood right?) and I had to get my little side window fixed. I called up a bigger place in Allston and got a quote. I then called this smaller place, only half a mile from my house, and got a quote that was 30 dollars less. I believe it’s only one woman who does all the work and runs the whole business, which is great because you get remembered and don’t have to deal with other clueless employees.
Everything was handled quickly and professionally. No complaints whatsoever (except for my car being broken into and GPS stolen… ugh). If you’re in JP and your car gets broken into (probably will happen), I recommend this place.
