Down the street from my house. My go to. Timely, delicious, & the sweetest employees!

I used to only go for«late night» pizza but something funny happened. I had a few leftover pizzas at home to heat up for lunch so while tasting 3 different pizza’s together Nemo’s was by far the most tasty of the bunch. Now Nemo’s is my go-to place when I want pizza. It IS: — tasty crust and sauce — generous with the toppings — fair price It is NOT: — the place you go for fresh oregano and basil from the hills of Mt. Fancy Pants. It’s just really surprisingly good. When I take it home I bake it on 450 for a bit to brown it up a bit more. If you haven’t give it a try, it’s totally worth it. The little ladies who work there are very sweet and always bless us when we leave.

Cheap, open late, & they don’t skimp on cheese. Only downside is that it’s cash only, but I can’t knock small businesses for that.

Excellent pizza place! Come here occasionally when I’m in the mood for pizza, subs, etc. My favorites are the steak bomb with extra cheese, the chicken salad, the gyro, and of course their pizza. Also, the staff is very friendly, the place is clean and the prices are really reasonable.

There’s nothing like a family run, neighborhood sub shop. The staff is incredibly friendly. The gyro was fantastic. Like most Greek sub shops I’ve been to, the subs are very good, but the pizza leaves something to be desired. Captain Nemo’s!!!

The reason I am giving Captain Nemo’s an additional star is purely because the two little old ladies behind the counter were so gosh darned sweet. It was 11:30pm, I was craving some fast food, the first three spots I tried were closed and so I ended up at Nemo’s to grab a slice. Nemo’s is literally up the street from me and I’ve never wandered in because of its greasiest of «greasy spoon» façade. To be blunt, the $ 2.25 slice of pizza was very«meh»(I wouldn’t be surprised if it was made with frozen dough) and… More importantly… Nether woman behind the counter wore gloves. I saw them preparing a sandwich, grabbing my pizza and making cash transactions with their bare hands. No amount of sweetness could overcome the sourness of watching someone handle cash and then grab a roll to make a chicken parm. Yes, it will go in the high temp oven but that doesn’t make it any less gross. I won’t return… There are too many other places to grab a(yummy) slice and not be worried about sanitary issues.

This place is so cute. Especially the woman running it. She is so cute and straight off the boat greek. She didn’t even know how to say the amount I owed her in English she just pointed to the screen. The pizza was AMAZING. Better than JP House of Pizza. They make it thin and they finely chop up the toppings so it gets a good blend throughout the pizza. I have no tried any of the subs yet but we got the cheese and the steak pizza and both were the best ive had in JP.

I’ve been here multiple times for lunch. Great subs and the people here are very nice. Usually go with chicken parm or meatball sandwiches. I’ll have to try the pizza next time.

The people that work here are SO nice that I feel bad for giving it two stars. The pizza is just not that good. There. I said it.

The help is cool and friendly, and they really get to know the locals and regulars. They are always tasty going down, but ALWAYS causes a certain gastro-intestinal distress the next day. I’d love to give them a better review, but i think they need to upgrade the quality of their ingredients.

If you’re Spanish, you’ll be greeted«Hey, how you doing amigo?!?» the people running the place are really nice. they get to know you if you go there enough. That’s why i gave this place 4 stars instead of 3. Out of all the pizza places in JP, this is my fav place to go because of the management. I’ve only eaten the Pizza and Gyros here. The pizza can be a bit greasy, but it’s pretty good. Especially when you’re looking for something to eat at midnight.

Captain Worst’s! Ugh. My car battery was t0tally dead the other night, and my friend had to give me a ride. While waiting for her, I had several cktlz at my apartment, so I was a mess by the time she picked me up. We were heading to my friend’s place in JP and I was certain everyone would be stoned by the time I got there, so I thought showing up with all kinds of gross food would be a good idea. :( My intentions were gross meaning«fried» not gross meaning«gross»… anywhooz, I placed an order over the phone for Captain NoNo’s, and it was ready within 10 minutes… fast service /awful food! They also included some pizza sauce as a dip for one of the items I ordered. It was basically REDWATER. Worst, Worst, Worst… Worst, worst, worst, WORST! That night I realized my alcohol tolerance was much higher than I initially thought, bkuz even *I* could tell how awful the food was. And it wasn’t cheap! + cash only! :(((((((!!! (still LQQKs safer than Rizzo’s!)

Best pizza in JP. It’s Greek style, so don’t load it with toppings. Great sauce, when you order extra cheese you get it. Douse it with garlic powder and parm before you go and you win. Also open until about 3am, with the nicest folks ever to don an apron waiting to help you out.

The food here is good. Not great. But, what they lack in food, they make up for with great service. They are so nice there. Every time I call an order in the lady on the other end calls me sugar or honey or some other little pet name. One time I just didn’t want to get off my ass to get the pizza because it was snowing(we live three blocks away). The owner(i think) walked our pizza and mozzarella sticks over to our place. Then, when he got here, called Nemos back because he felt that we were overcharged for something. He talked to me for a bit about the house next door when he started a conversations with«wow. mrs. whateverhernameis’s house looks really good. She would have like to have seen it that way.» He really knew the neighborhood. When it turned out we were accidentally overcharged for something, he refused to take the difference as additional tip(until I made him).

I like the food from this place just enough, but I really like the owners more so that’s why I continue to come here. The food isn’t great, the pizza is typical greek-pizza-awful, but the subs are good enough and the chicken, ziti, broccoli is the best comfort food. They don’t take credit cards because they were ripped off by both customers and the credit card company. This kind of makes ordering from here a pain, unless you have cash.

Captain Nemo’s is excellent every time. The pizza is just what you’d expect; Nice, not too thin crust, perfect portions on top. But Nemo’s stands as a reminder to the adage«be careful what you ask for,» which I’ll keep in mind each time I ask for toppings. It isn’t a bad thing that I get twice as much«extra’ cheese on my pie as I would at a Dominos or Pizza Hut, but a reminder not to load your pizza too high. Nemo’s is where less is more. A plain pizza will make anybody happy. Hit your breaks when approaching their hamburger sub, but run full speed towards their steak tip sub. I can’t nail what the difference might be, as every pizza place in the world will serve some variation on this classic. But Nemo’s must get a better meat; God knows the sub rolls are superior, the produce extra fresh. Even if you’ve got an eating disorder, go in and chat with the ladies behind the counter. They couldn’t be any more kind, eager to please, and happy to boot! Lets not forget that the ladies at Nemo’s are the only in my experience who can properly fry a fri. Nice and crispy, neither burnt or flavorless. Thank you, Nemo’s.

Nemo’s serves up some of the grossest pizza and subs I’ve ever had, and yet I keep crawling back for more. Mostly because of: a) The proximity to my house, and convenience of their late-night hours. b) The Greek ladies(sisters?) who work there are the NICEST people in the entire universe. c) The food is edible, greasy, and filling. Which totally fits the bill sometimes.

Ummmmmmm, I love this place… and not necessarily because of the food. After the fireworks last night, my friends and I finally made it back to Jamaica Lesbian around midnight. We knew this place was open late but we called anyway to make sure. A woman answered and said they were closing in a few minutes but just knock on the window and they’ll let us in the backdoor. We got to Nemo’s and there were already a couple kids hanging outside and they too said, «Just go around back!» and so we did. We knocked on the window and one of the lovely ladies came and let us in. These are probably the nicest people I have EVER come across in a business. The two Greek ladies behind the counter love to just chat it up with you and joke around. They want to know your names, where you live, what your story is, and not in a creepy/stalker way… as in a crazy grandmother way. We ordered some food… greasy, fattening, tasty. Wasn’t the BEST food I’ve had but the atmosphere of the place is what really won me over. I ordered Chicken Broccoli Ziti Alfredo and one of the Greek ladies asked me to come back next time and let her know how I liked her cooking. I told them I’d be around on the weekends as my friends just moved above the restaurant, and they seemed genuinely happy. I felt like I was with my non-existent big fat Greek family… it was great! And as I waited for food, about 15 more local kids came running in and ordered some slices and talked to the ladies in the same manner I did… seems like this restaurant has a real neighborhood connection for late night snacking. Overall, the food is decent and will surely bring your life closer to its end as your arteries soak up the grease. But if you’re looking for some late night munchies and that hometown vibe, this is surely the place to go.
