History
Established in 1979.
In the summer of ’79, Nick opened the first Cappy’s Pizza and Subs on Westland Ave. near Northeastern University ready to feed the notoriously hungry students.
Cappy’s quickly became a campus favorite for their delicious steak and cheese sandwiches, pizzas that hit the spot, and affordable prices.
Since then, Cappy’s has opened two more locations with Cappy’s II on Huntington Ave. (1982) and another Cappy’s on Centre St. in the heart of Jamaica Plain (1992). Cappy’s Pizza and Subs has happily been a local Boston fixture for over thirty years and we’re not going anywhere anytime soon!
Meet the Business Owner
Nick P.
Business Owner
In early 1974, Nick, a young Greek immigrant came to Boston in search of the American Dream. After five years of working three jobs a day, all week long, Nick saved enough money to open his first restaurant, Cappy’s Subs and Pizza on Westland Ave.
Through his sheer hustle, grit, and a passion for food, Nick has seen his restaurants feed tens of thousands of satisfied people over the past three decades.
Nick is still very active in the management of the business. In fact, every morning Nick still goes to the market buying the most amazing fresh produce, meat, and ingredients that are usually cooked that same day.
