ASAP Lock & Key

On a bitterly cold winter night, I came home to my apartment building, tried to get in, and had the long-​abused door handle come off in my hand. Thankfully, I had folks on the inside who could let me in. But we are a 4-​unit building, home to 13 people, who are used to being able to enter their home with a key at any time of day or night. So, as the keeper of the condo association funds, I decided to call a locksmith and get it resolved ASAP.
A quick Unilocal search revealed ASAP Lock & Key, and Moshe said he would be right over. About 15 minutes later, he was there and said he could replace the door handle and re-​key it so we could keep our keys. It took him about 45 minutes of work — most of which he did half-​outside in the freezing temperatures and cost us about $ 150, which I felt was more than reasonable given the emergency nature and the icy temperatures.
Aside from doing a great job, he was also just a lovely man. Will absolutely use him again!

Really prompt, friendly service on multiple occasions. Went out of his way to fit us in when his schedule was already busy. Got the job done quickly, very fairly priced.

Moshe was excellent to work and I will make him my locksmith from now on. I called up simply needing to get a deadbolt replaced and another on the same key and Moshe came met and exceeded expectations. Moshe was actually able to come earlier than expected and was quick and very personable. I had not asked what the pricing would be before I had the appointment but the pricing was very reasonable.

LOVED Moshe. We moved into a new place and wanted to replace the existing locks and add some deadbolts. Called Moshe 8:30am Saturday morning and everything was done by 12pm. All the keys work GREAT and the job was performed in such a perfect manner. Moshe is also just a nice person. Recommend all the way.

Re-​keyed an existing deadbolt lock and re-​combinated an existing combination lock. Prompt, timely, courteous and professional. Very satisfied.

Just like the other reviewers’ comments, Moshe did just a fast, expert job in replacing my mailbox key. Reasonable price compared to what it looks like other locksmiths are charging. I would recommend this guy to anyone in the area.

AMAZING! Moshe is the best I’ve ever come across in price, quality and service. I needed him to replace a lock after I locked myself out and he did an amazing job. He was very flexible with my schedule, quick with his work but made sure I was getting the best quality. He installed my lock, then didn’t like the way the lock turned so he replaced it again so it was perfect! He also fixed another lock of mine free of charge. You will not regret using him!

Moshe is awesome! He was recommended by my realtor when I moved into a new place to rekey my locks. I did call around to check prices anyway and he’s way more reasonable than some of the other Unilocal 5-​star locksmiths that I contacted — and he was able to come the same day (others wanted an emergency service fee for that). He also doesn’t nickle-​and-​dime you for everything — he cut extra keys for me for free. On top of that, I locked myself out the next day (oops), and he came and let me in — no charge! He’s won a customer for as long as I live in his service area. He treats you like a friend, not a dollar sign. So, in short, if you need a locksmith, Moshe is your best bet. (and I’m not one to give out 5 stars often.)

Moshe did and incredible job re-​keying and upgrading the locks on our whole school building. He put the school on a master key plan with classrooms, offices, labs and project rooms each on separate groupings of keys. He installed a high-​security lock on both our entrances, which all fit to the master. Moshe was incredibly efficient and timely, always meeting when meeting times were set. His prices were competitive. He’s personable, kind, clear and easy going which is a wonderful quality when working with contractors. We highly recommend him!

Calling him to schedule locks to be changed, I’ll review him again w/​more detail after next service call.

Amazing all around! When I 1^st bought my house 14 years I asked my R E broker for a locksmith and he recommended ASAP. I called the next day and had the entire house with 4 apartments and 50+ keys put on a master system so I had a simple system for all of my residents and ONE key for myself not 50! Over the years, there has been an occasional need for a minor repair or upgrade and Moshe answers his phone on 1 ring and is often over within a day, if not an hour! The world needs more good old fashioned reliable professionals like ASAP. I just pray he never retires!

I have had several occassions to use ASAP and have always found him to be professional and reliable. We first met walking dogs and then I had an occasion to call him on an emergency basis and I was certainly glad that I had his business card. Since then I have used him a few times over the years and have always been a happy customer. Unlike some people in the business, he won’t use cheap materials that end up costing more in the long run when they fail prematurely.
