This is the closest grocery store to my house, but I usually drive by here to go to the Publix Market about 2 miles further away. I went here this evening because all I needed was some kitty litter and I figured a quick-in-n-out was in store for me. BZZZZ wrong choice it took me all of 3 minutes to walk in from the car, grab the kitty litter and get in the check out line I stood in line for approx. 30 minutes waiting for the 6 people in front of me to check out. There were NO other lines open and 10 — 12 people in line at the customer service desk. Now I remember why I go to Publix instead.

When I go to this Winn-Dixie, I get memories of going to the store with my mom as a child. This store has had it’s ups and downs but I think it’s on the upswing now. Several years ago they renovated the store which was definitely needed. Before, it was old and unkempt. Also the employees did not use to be very friendly at all… The last couple times I have been here though the customer service has actually improved. People will greet me, and actually smile(a very rare thing in the past) One person in particular is ALWAYS smiling and in a great mood, his name is Jeshua. He is very genuine and seems to love his job. It just makes the shopping experience more pleasant when people treat you like you matter. The savings with using your Winn-Dixie card are great. This store still may need a little improvement, but they are heading in the right direction!

The Manager, Jonathan is The best! I love all of the BOGO’s. The store was clean and plenty of Cashiers out. I really like the Produce dept. Fresh fruit and veggies looking good and priced. I splurged and bought some raspberries to go with my yougurt in the mornings for breakfast, they were priced at $ 4.99, which is about the norn these days. The man in the Dairy section was very helpful to me with my chees purchase for my home made pizza I was going to make. I also bought two Edward’s Lemon mergiune pies at BOGO $ 8.99. The Cashier was very polite, kind and helpful.

I recently decided to change grocery stores. I most always shop at Publix, but I like the idea of the fuel perks at Winn Dixie and there is a store very close to my house. I bought groceries at WD about a week ago… not a great experience, then again last night. I can see now why Publix is the answer for most people. HUGE difference in customer service! I basically bagged my own groceries even tho there were plenty of emplyees to help and there was only one person in line behind me. The cashier started helping the next customer, ringing up her order and bagging her groceries even tho mine were still sitting there(I was trying to get them out of the way!) Not sure it’s worth the $ I might save on gas. No «thank you». «No hello or goodbye». No common courtesy what so ever. =/It’s almost as if the young lady«helping» me was hoping that I wouldn’t come back???
