Royal Moving and Storage

We booked Royal for our move on Aug 21. We had two very nice movers that were very quick and efficient. From the time they arrived they hustled in 95 degree weather. They were courteous and professional the entire time. Would definitely use them again in the future!

Let me start by saying the actual movers were very friendly and were very fast for the number of rooms we had to pack. I do like the owner and most of the staff. I hired them because of the likability and the reviews online and the number of reviews that put them in a favorable light.
So we hired them to move us from Jax to NC and we had an issue come up with plumbing in the unit we were moving into, so we ended up having to move our furniture into U-​Haul Storage till we were able to move to our new how.
So it must be reflected that another mover did move our stuff from U-​Haul to our new home. The difference the wife was on top of the movers from U-​Haul to the new home, she watched them like a hawk (Where I did not in the original pack, because they are professionals, right? Well we know what happens when you assume,)for the entire move and as this happened she noticed that some furniture had been stacked on top of other furniture, so when we got it to the new place, she started to notice some of the furniture had been marred, scuffed (ie bedside tables, Antique sideboard, and one of the wives dishes was broken.
The stacking of furniture at the storage unit my fault was assuming that the plastic wrapped furniture would be protected and that was because of the confidence in the movers as they stacked them.
Boxes (¹⁄₃) were not marked after packing to determine what room they came from and where they would be going. I can say that because 1 out of the 3 of the packers was not marking the boxes consistently.
I Was extremely disappointed that when I reached out to the owner, he advised me I had to talk to one of his guys on the pack out about the damage. Why? you are the owner take «OWNERSHIP» of the damage, and do what is right. He lead me to believe in our meeting that he was very good about this and if I have to jump through hoops to follow through, it is not necessary for me to do more work to fix the issues or talk to a non-​owner.
Let me finish by saying that training and follow up training by a spot inspector to go to these moves, setting a set standard of guidelines would make this company outstanding but if you never revisit to tweak, things get sloppy.
I must give kudos to Ahmed, because I do not believe any of this damage was intentional and with the amount of furniture they moved and the amount that was damaged was miniscule comparatively.
I just never thought the failure to take responsibility and having to speak with other people would be necessary to take action.
I Really liked these guys but the devil is in the details.

Fantastic service. Showed up right on time. The guys hustled from the moment they walked in the door, and treated everyone in my family with the utmost respect. They took care with our breakables, and they listened to and followed every little request we had. They didn’t waste any time.
I will gladly hire them again in the future.
