Moore Stables offers riding lessons to students ages 4 and up. Whether your goals are the show ring or being a confident pleasure rider we can help you reach them. Safe, well schooled lesson horses and an experienced teaching staff make us the place to be for learning to ride or improving current skills. Our students have opportunities for on the farm practice horse shows, practice riding in the ring, clinics with outside professionals. Leasing a horse and showing off the farm is available for qualified students.

History

Established in 1985.

After settling on Jacksonville for our home we opened Moore Stables at its present location near Richlands. Over the years we have trained riders and horses to placings and victories in hunt seat riding from 4H to US Equestrian Federation shows. We have spent our lives caring for horses and teaching others.

Annie M.

Business Owner

From ponies as a little girl to riding lessons as teen Annie has spent her life surrounded by horses. During her time at Western Michigan University she kept at least one horse in training. After college she went into horse business working for Bittersweet Farm in Niles, Mich. Annie has the opportunity to work with some «old time horsemen» and has a solid background in horse care. An avid reader, she keeps up on new developements in the horse industry knowing that you never stop learning.
