Elite Event: Bottle and Bottega

WhooHooo! Wish I could give this event more than 5 stars! I have been wanting to try one of these painting classes for several years now. Unilocal came through for me once again! Can Unilocal real my mind? Haha: D
The studio is really cute. The owner, Melissa, is such a doll. A huge thank you to her for opening up the entire studio just for us Unilocalers and welcoming us in with open arms (and plenty of open bottles of wine).
We had a choice to paint a wine glass or paint on canvas and I choose to paint on canvas. Our instructor, Daniel, was wonderful. He was fun, upbeat, helpful, and always smiling. It’s very obvious he loves what he’s doing. I’ve never held a paint brush in my life and I’m incredibly OCD… not a real good combination! LOL However, Daniel was always quick to come over when I got stuck on something… and trust me… I got stuck a lot! My little painting didn’t turn out perfect, but I’m actually quite happy with it and already have it hanging in my home.
Melissa also sent us home with a coupon to come back and do another class for 50% off and also said to mention Unilocal for other future classes to get 20% off. That’s pretty awesome!
As soon as I got home, I was already on their website looking at upcoming classes for October and November. I found tons that I’d love to participate in, but there are two classes I’m dying to take. I know I’m going to be back here again very soon!
Sorry to all my Yeeps for not mingling around and talking as much as I usually do, but I kinda became one with my canvas. Haha

What a fun event. I loved meeting new Unilocalers and meeting Unilocalers I had read their reviews online but hadn’t met yet in person. This place is so cute and the staff was beyond friendly. It was really easy to paint the picture and the staff is very helpful in helping you paint. The place is huge and would be a great place for parties. They have lots of wine choices and its reasonably priced. I picked a canvas and it was really fun to get to paint while drinking wine. I think the venue being so spacious would lend itself to a bridal shower or baby shower. They also said they have paint nights and they only need 5 people to hold a class. I will definitely go back and love the concept and the place.

This was my first Elite event and had a fabulous time. Alley did a great job! Such a wonderful way to get to see what new businesses have to offer. I will be taking my friends back to Bottle and Bottega for a night out!

My first real Elite event and it was quite spectacular! Melissa was so accommodating and friendly and everyone who worked and attended the event facilitated such a nice atmosphere that I would definitely come again if I lived in Jacksonville. Overall I don’t really think I’m an artistic person when it comes to non-​digital arts, however there’s something incredibly relaxing and cathartic about putting your all into an activity that uses your hands in such a precise way. I’m a little bit of a perfectionist, which means that I was constantly erasing my wine glass to get that perfect line of paint. Although it eluded me I definitely walked away with a great ‘Yelp’ wine glass! Finally the other workers were so helpful in their instructions and were especially nice in judging my artwork. Overall this was a great Unilocal event, and I couldn’t think of a better start to new Elite adventures.

Allie shows us again how diverse Unilocal can be. She set up a wine drinking and painting on canvas and wine glasses event. It is a pretty sweet place. Brand new where you and your friends can come and have a great time. The owner graciously opened her place just for us Unilocalers. She brought in 2 of her artist instructors to help out and answer any questions and to straight a few crooked lines. Everyone seemed to be having a great time as they were painting and laughing. Now I’m not sure if Unilocaljax has any Picasso’s or Rembrant’s but we have a bunch of folks that have fun being together. I saw many folks that were really getting into their art also. So were just have fun and then we had one (self proclaimed) Rogue Table that went way off board and were painting such things like sea turtles, starburst, and a sun flower on their glasses. In all it was a really fun time and if you want to just throw it out there and paint something this could be your place.

Fantastical event! Who doesn’t love a little wine and an instructor to strike up some awesome painting inspiration! This event was really fun and my newbie friend Scarlette had a blast! The picture looked a lot harder than it really was especially since we were able to give it our own little twist. The venue itself is very spacious and I like how you can have to option to do wine glasses instead of just canvas’s. Overall I had a really good time at this event and I’ve already lost track of how many people I’ve told about this place! Thanks Allie and crew for helping me show my newbie friend how fun it is to elite! Look forward to the next!

Wonderful night! I had such a great time meeting new people and chatting about everything Unilocal!I had never been to a wine and paint class before and I decided to paint a wine glass. I had so much fun painting. Also everyone created beautiful works of art on their glasses and canvases. I am not an elite member (yet) but was invited by my fabulous friend Elizabeth M. I just have to say Thank you SO much for thinking of me as your plus one to this event! I really felt part of a community while I was here and I even made some new friends! Everyone here was very nice and easy to talk to. Alli put on a wonderful event and talked about all the benefits of being «elite» status! I can’t wait to do more reviews and hopefully make it into the «cool kids club»!

What a fabulous elite event! This is the second event that I was able to attend and it was such a great location to have it at. I was a tad late because of the rain but thankfully we started after so everyone can get comfortable, find a painting spot and socialize.
I brought one of my dear friends Ana as my Unilocal newbie and she loved the fact that these kinds of events were available to elite Unilocalers. Allie is such a sweet coordinator and always helpful. The owners of Bottle and Bottega were so gracious to open up their new store exclusively to Unilocalers. It was such a cute set up. I liked how you could do two classes at once.
There were two types of paining options wineglasses or 6×6 canvas. We chose to paint the canvas. Drinking wine and painting is fun idea but I’m surprised so many good paintings turnout because of it. Lol Ours was a heart with a banner across it on a colorful background. I love the fact that each person paints something similar but unique to the original. Both instructors were very patient and very easy to understand.
In the end my painting turned out to be fabulous and I even won a raffle prize: my own personal Bottle and Bottega painting apron! So now I have to come back. I really enjoyed this location and event. Fabulous!

I had a lot of fun at my first Elite event and can’t wait for many many more! In typical Allie fashion, in spite of the absolute pouring rain there was a tremendous turnout. Goes to show the loyal following of Unilocalers to our wonderful community leader! Upon check-​in we got awesome metal Unilocal water bottles and wine openers. Can’t ever have too many of those on hand, am I right?! Poured our first cup of wine and surveyed the space. Bottle and Bottega is a newly opened paint and sip concept. You select what you want to paint and are led through the painting steps by an actual artist. This was pivotal for me as he was able to touch up my canvas, getting my picture back on track! If you need the assistance, they’re there for you! This is a great venue for small parties gathered for the purpose of unwinding and sharing some quality time, creativity and wine. I was admittedly nervous when I saw that this wasn’t some paint-​by-​numbers concept, rather you’re literally confronted with a blank canvas as you sit down. Intimidating for the non-​creative type like myself! We all had such a great time and even went over our time limit for painting. I also met some great fellow Unilocal Elites and quickly realized there is a lot of creative talent in our Unilocaling community! I am so excited for the next adventure.

This was yet another fun event! I loved it! We came in and got our Unilocal goodies of course and also a nice cold cup of moscato… yummmm. The finger foods were also tasty. This place was so nice inside and the professionals were cool also! I’m actually planning a private party now for my best friend :) but it was really cool I enjoyed painting the canvas, I will definitely be back. And the people at our table were so nice and hilarious!

Definitely a great night out and wonderful elite event. The location was perfect and the staff at Bottle and Bottega were all so friendly and helpful. I am not artistic, but they made sure I had a great time anyway. The event was fun and the Unilocalers were all so encouraging and welcoming to the newbies. This was a perfect place to introduce new people to the pack. Although most of us are foodies and love a good meal, it was fantastic to have an activity to share with the group. This was and ideal opportunity to make new Unilocal friends and to get familiar with a new Jacksonville business. I love this business and plan to host my own girls night event here soon.

This was my second elite event as a new transplant to Jax, and my first time trying out a wine and paint class. I’ve always wanted to try one and I enjoyed this one a lot!
I brought my cousin in law with me since she wanted to try this out also. We loved how everything was set up, with one side of the studio for Unilocalers who wanted to paint on canvas, and the other side for Unilocalers who wanted to paint a wine glass. Both of us decided to paint on the canvas and we enjoyed it. At first we we followed the instructor, but then eventually we just did our own thing, lol! We loved how both of our paintings came out, and we had a blast.
Everyone had a great time, the instructors and the staff of Bottle and Bottega were great, and we both definitely had a lot of fun. Gave me an idea for a date night with the next guy I end up with, lol.

This was my first elite event and I had a blast. My boo and I painted on the canvas. The instructor was very knowledgeable and helpful.
The wine and snacks was good and I had just a great time. I would love to come back with my girls.

This event was a lot of fun. My daughter, her friend, my wife and me participated on this event. I choose the canvas and my wife the wine glass. We enjoyed the food and the wine. The painting on canvas is fun inwish i was better than i actually am. The owners were very nice hosts and the painting teachers were very patient and would helpmand encourage all of us to do a better painting and correct problems. Gave us a lot of tips to paint. The paintings and the glass wines turn out teally nice. This is very helpfull technique to manage every day stress. Everybody comes out with a smile. I will do it again anytime

This was both my first official Elite event and my first time at a «paint and sip» night! What a fun concept! I like that the instructor goes over the painting step-​by-​step (technically line by line), making this something truly anyone can do and not be intimidated by. I ended up enjoying painting more than I had expected and took my work very seriously! Since I spent extra time chatting with my neighbors, I didn’t quite finish. But the instructor assured me that I could call Melissa (the shop owner, who is a sweetheart) and arrange a time to come in and finish, which I thought was a very kind gesture.
The shop itself is artsy, cute and in a great location. It would be ideal for an evening out, as there are several restaurants in Tapestry Park you could walk to after painting.
I really enjoyed getting to know some new faces (special shout out to Michael C. from Gainesville!) I look forward to the next Elite event and Allie’s fabulous fall line-​up!

This was a terrific way to end a fairly stressful hump day for me! I loved the location and everyone was really helpful at B & B as well as Allie being welcoming to us «newbies» to Unilocal.I would love to come back to the location with some girlfriends and do this a few more times. I am a «crafty/​artsy» type person and I really enjoyed doing something different. There is something to be said for showing up and having all of the supplies ready for you (not to mention a lovely glass of wine and a few snacks – thanks Unilocal!) and being allowed to get creative without have to do all the prep work (or the clean up!!) I’ll be back! I am so glad that Lisa S. invited me as her newbie – we had such a fun time (and our table mates were awesome – hope I see them again too!)

I had such a fun night painting my wine glass, enjoying some snacks and of course WINE! Everyone was friendly and encouraging; can’t wait to «show and tell» to my friends.

This was an absolute blast! I’ve always wanted to participate in a class of this type… The instructor was very nice and super helpful… He assisted us if we needed help and answered any questions we had…
He was a wonderful instructor his instructions were clear and concise. It was a fun experience and it was awesome to see everyone’s different rendition of the painting…

Such a fun, creative event! We picked wine glasses because we have done the canvases before and wanted to try something new, also the wine glasses will get good use!
Walking in greeted by our own wonderful Allie, she checked us in and we got some sweet goodies! Next we found a seat in this lovely studio! It is decorated so nice and I really love that they offer an assortment of classes here it’s not just painting canvases! Our table was great and it is one of the perks to these Unilocal parties is you really get to meet some cool people! We snacked on pinwheels and chips and salsa, and either white or red wine. Then it is creative time, we had a teacher guiding us or you could just go all crazy and do your own thing (our table went our own way) the teacher and the owner were great and encouraging in offering helpful tips and praise of our masterpieces!
This would be a very fun night out, paint, relax, drink, snack, get creative!
