Ladreeka Atwater established Cupcake Connection Bakery in 2000. She has been in the baking industry for over 10 years. Cupcake Connection represents Ms. Atwater’s solution for not so much what consumers had been exposed to, but what they had not been able to find. Cupcake Connection Bakery is intent on providing a more convenient service for fast pace families on the move. They offer cupcakes, cakes, pies, cookies, cheesecakes and other great treats. What sets Cupcake Connection’s wedding cakes apart from any other bakery is that she offers non-​traditional outside of the box wedding cake flavors and designs. You can choose from 10 different types of cake and any design imaginable. The company under the leadership of Ms. Atwater is now an organization that provides services for corporate, government, and non-​profit agencies as a wholesale distribution source and catering concern. Ladreeka Atwater established Cupcake Connection Bakery in 2000. She has been in the baking industry for over 10 years. Cupcake Connection represents Ms. Atwater’s solution for not so much what consumers had been exposed to, but what they had not been able to find. After many years of saving money, recipes and ideas, and then one year of construction, and more debt than you can shake a stick at, opening day arrived. At 12 noon on January 23, 2004 the first retail store opened for business at 5876 Norwood Avenue, in Jacksonville. From the very first minute, the oven operated at capacity. Ladreeka has built the business to one, which supports over 800 individual and corporate customers. Her desserts have been served as far as Maryland, Texas, and to military members local and abroad. Now, Ms. Atwater with her youngest son, D’Angelo, at her side opened Cupcake Connection Bakery II on December 3, 2011 on the Westside of Jacksonville, Florida at 5560 – 4 Timuquana Road.
