Established in 1972.

Scrooge’s was opened in 1972 and relocated in 2003. Over the past four and a half decades it has earned a reputation as a place where one can relax and enjoy an excellent meal and cocktail while meeting new friends or old acquaintances – no one is ever a stranger at Scrooge’s!

Business Owner

Chris Carter & Chris Jefferson took ownership in November 2015 and have worked to maintain Scrooge’s reputation for high-​quality food and drink while not changing the identity of the Jackson landmark as a true neighborhood restaurant and pub.

Carter is a graduate of Texas A&M University and has over a decade of experience in restaurant management and serving guests from behind the bar with a smile and a tasty libation. His specialties are martinis and margaritas, but is just as happy serving you a cold beer and welcoming you to the neighborhood. Come say «hi” – he is behind the bar most nights of the week!

Jefferson has over two decades of experience in restaurant management and culinary development. You will never be served something that isn’t of utmost quality and freshness and, most importantly, tastes great! There is no better food in Jackson!
