Having never planned a funeral before, having to plan our father’s after a long(yet not so long) illness was not an easy task. My brother and I chose Timothy E. Ryan on W. Veterans Hwy. because we saw they had multiple locations in NJ and didn’t have any bad reviews like another popular funeral home in my town. We were very glad we chose them. From the first phone calls to Mary and Deana, to the first visit from Mark and Tom to pick up our father from my home where he passed, to the meeting at their location to plan his funeral, there was nothing but compassion and professionalism the entire time. They made the process of arranging our father’s funeral as easy as something like that could be on a family member. The parlor our father was laid out in was beautiful, tasteful, and comfortable. What we thought was an ‘extra caring touch’ was their sending us home with a fully cooked turkey with gravy the night of our dad’s viewing(we weren’t expecting it). We had been there from 4 — 8 p.m., so knowing we had something to eat when we got home with family and some friends was such a help. From start to finish, Mark, Tom and staff took care of every detail, allowing us to simply grieve the loss of our father. If you have to go through something terrible like the death of a loved one, at least let this funeral parlor help you. They really will.
