Rustic Inn

Our second stay at the Rustic Inn, we love it. Great cabins, friendly staff and excellent bar and bistro. Close proximity to Town Square and they offer a free shuttle if needed. Close to Grand Teton National Park and only an hour South of Yellowstone. Excellent place to stay

This place is ok but not what I expected. I hope something more primitive. For 550/​night, I wish front desk guy can be more friendly. The staffs there are very nice though. You have to stay in King creek view cabin.

My wife and I recently spent a week at the Rustic and had a great time. The property is beautifully maintained and conveniently located just a short walk from downtown Jackson (the Rustic also offers a free shuttle service to/​from town). It is also easy to get to the close-​by National Elk Refuge, Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone National Park, and Snow King Mountain. The Inn offers bike rentals, which are nice to take out on the Flat Creek path located across North Cache Street. The cabins are nicely appointed; comfortable beds, really nice patio/​porch, and a 4 – 5 star bathroom/​shower. I highly recommend a Creekside cabin (we stayed in a Superior King Creekside cabin) because they offer the best views and seem quieter than the interior (parking-​lot facing) cabins. The on-​site spa is excellent. We got a great massage and, although the sauna was broken when we visited, the Inn had maintenance personnel working to get it up and running as soon as possible. The breakfast, which is included, had a nice spread (eggs, bacon, potatoes, pastries, cereal, etc.) each morning and was a really convenient way to fuel up before early morning excursions. The free airport shuttle is also tremendously convenient and just a short ride to/​from the property (less than 12 minutes).
Why 4 and not 5 stars? Overall the concierge staff was helpful and friendly. But there were a few younger staff members who could improve their hospitality skills (e.g., when a guest walks into the lobby, look up from what you are doing, smile, extend a greeting, and ask how if/​how you can help). On balance we felt well taken care of, but for the price of a week-​long stay at the Rustic, we expected professional service at all times. Finally, the drinks at the Bistro Bar are pretty good, but the food was just average (we had the house made chips, a flat bread pizza, and a bison burger). With all the wonderful dining options in the area, I’d recommend the food at the Bistro only if you’re short on time or for a late-​night meal (it’s open until 10 pm).
Bottom line: The Rustic is a great place to stay in Jackson Hole. We would definitely come back.

We just checked into today but Winston and Pam at the front desk have made us feel so welcome and have been very friendly and amazing! Have us maps and old us about the area so we can make the most of our honeymoon trip! The rooms are gorgeous and very nice! We went with a Creekside King Cabin and we are amazed at how nice and cozy they feel! Also I got the package to have a bottle of wine with chocolate strawberries as well as roses placed in room and they went above and beyond to make this perfect! They also had the room ready before hand and let us check in early! I will update this review as the week goes on but so far I am amazed at the service and quality of the Hotel and Resort! Well got home and already miss the rustic in! Hotel staff are so friendly and awesome! I wanna say the front seat clerk that helped us was Winston and I can’t thank him enough for all his insight and knowledge of the area with dining recommendations and activities as well. If you are questioning staying here do not hesitate to book it and go! Grounds are very pretty, the wild life is amazing, and the area is so fun and gorgeous!

The good: The hotel property itself is amazing. The cabins are gorgeous and exactly what we were looking for. Easy, 4 block walk into town. Complementary shuttle service until 10:45 pm and solid breakfast each morning.
The bad: The front desk staff is extremely rude, specifically Kim and Kendall. Our entire stay we were treated with disrespect and like we were inconveniencing them. If they were still working there and we went back, we would opt for a different hotel due to their terrible customer service. The bar/​restaurant also doesn’t open until 4 pm.

I didn’t stay here, but drove by it on my way to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park. It’s about 3 blocks or so from the famous Million Dollar Bar and the main square. From what I can tell, the resort looked pretty nice and yes, the parking lot is close to the cabins, but it didn’t look like it was facing the parking lot. I might be wrong, but that’s what I noticed. The resort is also right across the elk sanctuary. Pretty nice view on a clear day for sure. I might consider staying here next time if I ever come back to Jackson.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from the pictures. The resort is really great. The facilities are very nice and well kept with several thoughtful details. The cabins are good for families. We stayed in the regular rooms, which look like small cabins. The breakfast buffet is excellent. The housekeeping staff is thorough and friendly. The creek out back is beautiful and they light fires to sit by in the evening. We actually saw a mother and baby moose by the creek when we were there. The location is walking distance to town and a few miles from Teton Park entrance and the Jackson Airport.
The only thing I wouldn’t recommend is eating at the bistro. We ordered a flatbread after a long day of hiking. It was expensive and was the equivalent of burned crackers with melted cheese. There are several delicious restaurants within walking distance.

Love this place ! My husband and I came here on our honeymoon and stayed in the spa suites. They are so accommodation and the suite we stayed in made up feel like King and queen !

Beautiful grounds and our cabin was awesome, including a fireplace. Great location away from town but close enough for a great walk. Walking around the grounds we saw beavers & ducks! Breakfast could not have been better! Great place and friendly people!

I was a little skeptical because the Rustic Inn sits right on the main road in and out of Jackson, but once you get back into the grounds, you feel like you’re in a secluded setting. The cabins on the creek are great. The various fire pits scattered around the grounds are absolutely terrific, including one that sits inside a very large teepee.
I would recommend this place to anyone. But if you stay there, you have to stay in one of the creekside cabins, otherwise, I’m not sure I would have felt this way.

My husband and I spent three nights here and I wish we had stayed longer. The property is beautiful and was truly the relaxing spot we were looking for in a vacation resort.
When we arrived we felt very welcome. After checking in someone helped us unload our luggage and get it to our room via golf cart. He also explained some basics about the room and the town.
We loved our little cabin. The room was clean and updated with enough room for two people. There was also plenty of privacy and quiet. The room came with complimentary water, a small refrigerator, and a coffee maker. I loved those conveniences.
In my opinion the property is the biggest draw. The property is beautiful and quiet. There are plenty of chairs and outdoor furniture around the water. We enjoyed lounging outside in the afternoons with a book. In the evenings they had fire pits that were lit for roasting s’mores (they sell kits at the bar or you could bring your own supplies). Our favorite spot for s’more making was in the teepee.
We really enjoyed the breakfast that was included with our stay. I would recommend arriving early as the room gets busy. The menu was good for a few days, but I think it would have been nice to have some variety for those staying for longer periods of time.

We have been waiting an hour and a half for our meal after ordering. Other tables nearby have been served and turned. Every time we have asked we have been thanked for our patience and told the chef is «slammed». It’s is a Monday night. I would not return.

Not cheap, but worth the money. A nice get away and decent place to stay from a few days to weeks if you can afford. Place like this cN cost 3,4 times more in big city yet hard to match if this life style.

My husband and I stayed at the Rustic Inn for 5 nights and we loved every minute! We stayed in the spa suite and it was gorgeous. The service was out of this world! The spa butlers, Pam and Brittany, were wonderful! I have never had such personalized service at a hotel before, it made me feel so comfortable. My husband and I got a couples massage in the beautiful couples room and it was great! The property is beautiful, it is in a great location and we loved the breakfast in the spa. I highly recommend The Rustic Inn and will definitely be back next time we visit Jackson!

We decided to stay here on a ski trip to Jackson Hole. The hotel is situated a little outside of town, though just a few minutes walk away. It’s about a 30 minutes drive to the ski resort, but the hotel has a free shuttle. We had a regular king room. It was a nicely decorated very clean room, but it was a bit on the small side. The included breakfast is better than most free breakfasts I’ve had in hotels. If in Jackson, I would definitely stay here again.

Our family spent 5 days between Christmas and New Years day, staying in two of their «Superior» class cabins. It was our first visit to Jackson Hole, and we had a very nice experience:
— Their airport shuttle makes it very easy to arrive and depart.
— On the edge of town, just a short walk to get to the restaurants and shopping areas.
— Conveniently located next to a little market (even a gas station that sells supplies).
— The place is very pretty covered with snow, especially when lit up at night.
— The surrounding mountains and stream add to the beauty.
— The friendly staff helped us with many aspects of planning our vacation.
— The breakfast buffet was excellent.
— We often made use of the complementary hot chocolate, coffee, and tea in the lobby.
— They have a nice warm bar area that opens from the lobby.
We will definitely stay there again if we have the opportunity to return.

We stayed at this hotel for one night a couple of weeks ago in the middle of our three-​week family vacation through the west. We found this place on Unilocal and the photos looked fabulous and sold us. However, we were very disappointed when we arrived and found our room. The photos make you think you’re staying in a private cabin along the water… the fact of the matter is that most of the rooms open to the parking lots used to navigate the property. Sure you can sit out on the little «private» patios in one of the two rocking chairs at your porch, but you’re facing a parking lot and lined up next to everyone else. If you’re out on the patio next to your neighbors, you are so close you’re forced the obligatory «hello.» The rooms are really nothing more than fancy single-​wides, decorated in their signature rustic style.
Yes, a very few of the rooms face the river, as seen in the photos. That would have been beautiful and we would have walked away with an entirely different option of the place. I’m shocked those rooms and our room are same price.
The hotel restaurant is nice… kind service, good food. Again, the location is strange because although the dining area is surrounded by some potted trees and flowers, but just beyond is the main road and the experience feels a bit exposed. Same goes for the pool: pretty with nice landscaping, but you’re exposed along that main road. You’d expect more from a high-​end expensive hotel.
The gym is nicely equipped. I got a work out in around 8 AM and was disappointed the water dispenser hadn’t been serviced yet (it was out of water and a light was blinking indicating it wasn’t working anyway). I walked (through the parking lot) to the nearest bathroom which was at the pool area. The bathroom needed some serious attention… towels scattered around, toilet needed cleaning. Perhaps the staff isn’t up at ‘em at 8 AM???
The wi-​fi is not free. Seriously?
We were glad it was not colder out, since every trip to the restaurant, pool, gym, etc. is a walk around a parking lot.
The good things about this hotel is that the room and main areas interiors are very nicely appointed and the rooms are very quiet. The other guests we happened to meet were also really great.
In short, we expected so much more at $ 400/​night. We would definitely not stay here again. There are so many other options in Jackson Hole… go somewhere else at this price.

Cute little cabins in a centrally located part of Jackson. Beautiful grounds (as long as the geese are being grumpy).
The rooms were clean and very well appointed and the bed was very comfortable — it was one of the better nights of sleep I’d had. Bathroom was large and well stocked.
I will stay here again!

I have to say, I REALLY did like this place, but just a couple of things would have made the stay absolutely unforgettable.
First and foremost, the number one irk that I had was that there was NO BATHTUB! Come on peeps, I’m staying somewhere with snow on the ground and a great ski resort. I want to soak when I get back! I know there is a hot-​tub, but both hubby and I forgot our togs.
The other niggles were things like not enough hooks or towel bars in the bathroom. The towels ended up on the bedroom floor — which was not great because they forgot to service the room, so we ended up using more towels than we would usually have used.
The breakfast is average. The hot buffet was cold by the time we got there, so I didn’t bother with that, but they have a great selection of fruit, breads, cereal and sticky buns etc.
Overall, the place is great. The staff are wonderful. They have a courtesy car service that will take you into town and allow you to imbibe without the threat of being nicked on the way back to the hotel.
We would definitely stay there again.
