Johnny T’s was perfection in Jackson. I went to JSU06 – 10 and I wish Johnny T’s was here then, I would’ve been there everyday. I was here visiting for a wedding and my sister said we should go here they have the best shrimp and grits in town … She was definitely right. It was so good I had to ask the waiter to bring the chief out so I can give her my compliments. Even the lemon drop(bomb) was perfect. Everyone should support this business. Everytime I come to Jackson I will be back no questions asked. Nice music in the background and great service… What a great idea it was bringing this establishment to Jackson. I promoted my great experience on every social media I have because ppl can be so quick to give a negative review but never want to express when they have a great time!!! Well people if u had any questions if this place was worth it I’m here to let you know yes it is. I asked the guys who were next to us how were the wings and they said perfect, so I think it’s safe to assume the whole menu is good !! I know whoever was back there bar tending was really good as well ! I love it

Coming in, the place was smaller than I thought and it was packed but we got a seat. Our waitress was sweet and brought our drinks out in a decent amount of time. It took forever for the food to come out but that was expected due to the crowd. I had the shrimp and grits and I was highly satisfied. The flavor was just right. This was the first time I had them made right since«Mr. B’s» in New Orleans. I will admit that I wasn’t expecting the total to be 53 dollars but other than that I enjoyed the food and atmosphere.

Love the atmosphere when I come here. Food is pretty good too. Under great management, they really pay attention to details.

Johnny T’s has the best Cajun Chicken Pasta I’ve ever had in my life. I cannot get enough of that stuff. I also had the Shrimp toast appetizer which was Devine. The portions were fantastic for the price too. Live music fills the atmosphere with the vibes I imagine Farish Street to have had in the 60s. If this is a taste of what Farish Street will be one day again, sign me up for life.

Definitely can’t judge a book by its cover. On the left right of the building, you’ll find the restaurant with a good size bar. Order the crab cakes and would give them a 3.5 stars out of 5. Seems like it had a fishy substitute other than pure crab. Since the place is fairly new, they will need to educate the waitress on what’s important which is being available and turning tables. Upstairs, you will find a small dance floor with a stage and a huge bar which was really nice. Mike Rib and the 601 band performed which was a good 4 out of 5 for me. Overall, I think price is an issue in the Jackson market. It would definitely weed out a bad crowd but will discourage buying someone a drink at 12 bucks a pop or discourage a repeat customers. Mixed drinks typically run 7 – 8 dollars in most major cities I’ve lived. 0verall, nice place with a good atmosphere. Will definitely bring the wife next time but could easily consider another venue that’s 3 – 4 bucks cheaper per menu item/drinks.

Very good food! Nice atmosphere! Very nice Staff! I had the Cajun shrimp pasta on my first visit there last night. It was so good that I hated to eat it all there… so I brought some home with me lol. Prices are reasonable. Will definitely be going back.
