I was so happy to find a place in my neighborhood that took my insurance plan so I tried it. I had a pleasant experience with the older gentleman who performed my eye exam. He was very professional & kind also enjoyed the small talk. The girl that help me pick pout my frame was very pleasant except for the fact that she never measured my face for my eyeglass frame. After picking up my glasses, I had to go back to the store 3x’s to tell them to adjust my glasses as the kept falling off of my face. The girls are not professionally trained to adjust glasses and after going back numerous times I realize that they must have trouble with this issue as they have signs that read «we are not responsible for any damage caused when adjusting your glasses» After the 3^rd time hey stil do not fit. I spend 350 bucks on glasses that I cannot wear & the staff is aware that the glasssss do not fit correctly and are not accommodating when I tell them hat I need help. I now have to find somewhere else to fix this frame. DO NOT GO HERE!!!

So I am walking out this store and updating my review because, this place deserves a negative star rating! I wish i did not have to come here ever again but i already had paid for my contacts and glasses. These people, the girls who work there are almost going beat u if they could (if it were legal)!! This is how bad their customer service is! Again make sure u visit the place before u do business with them!

The girl locks the door early and didnt want to help any customer. The first time when i went there to just check it out the door already half way closed 20 mins before the business hours end. The second time i arrived 40 mins before it closed, the door was still locked! She finally walked out from the back and opened the door with unwelcome face. She told me she has to call the insurance before i can pick up the glasses (after i order it), so i told her then could i choose my glasses now, she said no and just looked at her phone. Wtf, if she just wants to get out of her work place and go out to party. Please have someone else to do the service!

I am a little shocked by the Unilocal reviews since I had the exact opposite experience. I bought a Groupon for 89.00 that included an eye exam for contact lenses plus 2 boxes of contacts and after reading the reviews on Unilocal, I thought, wow, this is a terrific offer! Well, sadly, I was mistaken.
A few seconds after my husband and I walked in to Lens Lab Express a few people behind the counter started blurting out, NEXT! I then walked over to a gentleman behind the counter and took out my Groupon voucher and he asked me if I had my previous prescription. I take out an old prescription and he proceeds to tell me they can get my brand and give me 5% off the going rate on 1800-​contacts. I explained to him that I didn’t want my brand I just wanted the contacts included in the groupon offer I had already paid for. He then tells me it’s a terrible brand, and that surely I didn’t expect that they can afford to offer good contacts for free when they have to pay Groupon for ½ of the money they are making from the Groupon offer. I explain that I just wanted to try the ones I already paid for. In response, he tells me that he will let me try on a pair and order me the ones I normally wear. I figure, I’ll just speak to the doctor and straighten things out with her.
Next I got to meet with the doctor, yay! Not. She attempts to give me the same bait and switch line that the counter person tried. I tell her Listen, I’m not paying anything extra than what I already paid for through Groupon and she then tells me the Groupon was only for a prescription of –2.00 and my prescription is greater than –2.00 so I don’t qualify for it. The Groupon doesn’t say anything about that. This is by far the most unprofessional doctor I have ever been to.
I then tell her that I am so happy that I didn’t buy two Groupons, one for myself and one for my husband because he needs a pair of glasses since he broke his pair on a business trip and she tries to convince me how I will get a discount for my brand of contacts. I then told her that she was making me extremely uncomfortable and that the optometrists in my neighborhood were very good and I was going to request a refund from Groupon and go to them, she looked down at my prescription and agreed that they were very good indeed. BEWARE!!!
By the way, I went to ODYSSEY OPTICAL in Astoria, NY later that afternoon and got an exam for myself and my husband and a pair of good namebrand glasses for him for $ 490.00 total. They are amazing there. They were recommended to us by a few people and the doctor is extremely professional and they do not try to scam you. They are super straight forward.

I had a great experience with this place specially it was my first time to get an eye exam for glasses and contacts. as you can see after playing lots of video games for many many years you can’t help it but to end up in this places but good thing the people here are nice and the best thing about it is you can just walk in with no appointments necessary that’s just awesome and on top of that I didn’t even wait that long and with the help of Groupon I had a great deal for my new glasses and my year supply of contacts. And just to mention one of the people that work there is another video game addict just like me and we discuss some awesome stuff about video games so I gotta give them 5 stars in Unilocal:)

This place is so great and very fast reliable service. My sister recently purchased a groupon for $ 39 for an eye exam, frames and lenses. She had such a great experience, such friendly staff. Highly recommended !

These guys are great! I purchased a groupon for a contact lease exam and box of contacts. Before buying the groupon, I called in and they explained it all to me. I didn’t go with the house contact I applied the discount toward my usual brand.
No appointment was needed, I walked in and was done in 15 minuets! There was no pressure to buy anything else.
They do have a nice selection of frames.
This will be my new eye doctor!
