Jackson Heights Dental

Is this place serious quoting me $ 375 for a full exam (consultation, X-​rays, and cleaning). I called other dentist offices in the area that quoted me $ 150 – 180. I’m sure they are great but that’s just a little out of my price range and on the higher end of dental practices. In the long run this place lost money from me because I had to get quite a few dental procedures done.

Dr. Wolfson is gentle, honest, and professional. His office is extremely clean. Great dental cleaning! The office is only 5 short blocks from the train stop at 75 Street and Roosevelt so it’s very convenient.
I won’t see another dentist.

I never liked going to the dentist but I feel at ease when I come here. Dr. Wolfson is gentle and never seems to be rushing with anyone. Even when I need a break he is very accommodating. Recommend this place to anyone!!!

Jackson Heights Dental is clean, professional and has a great hygienist. Felt like I got solid cleaning and they took care of everything relating to insurance. If you want Dr. Wolfson, you have to specify when you make the appt. They have a second dentist there.

I have been a patient of Dr. Wolfson for over ten years and have recommended dozens of patients to him. He does amazing work and the prices are very reasonable. i trust him implicitly. it is a huge comfort to know that whatever treatment plan he recommends will have the right result. i have been to many dentists over the years and have never felt the trust and confidence I have experienced here.

After moving to Jackson Heights six years ago and with much dental deliberation between then and now, my boyfriend and I have finally found our family dentist. It is such a relief to finally find a dentist that you trust, that does a good job and leaves you feeling as though you’ve accomplished something important — for us, Jackson Heights Dental is that.
For me, I left clean and cavity free, and with a complimentary toothbrush and floss (one of my most highly rated indicators of a solid dental practice). It’s a family-​run affair, and the familial banter makes one feel welcome and at ease. But the sealer of the deal was my boyfriend’s experience. Having had no dental insurance (until now), he had not been to a dentist since before we moved six years ago. Prior to that he had not had a good dental experience, particularly when having fillings done (the anesthesia rarely works for him). At JHD his pain was minimal, both during and after the cleaning. When it was found that he had 2 cavities (after 6 years! Never underestimate the power of brushing and flossing), JHD was able to schedule him the very next day for both of his fillings, and he had no pain during the process whatsoever. Additional note: they did not pimp the (sometimes more expensive) white fillings like several dentists I have seen. Lastly, they took care of everything with our insurance and the experience was supremely hassle free. Fantastic.
Final thoughts, for the record, 1. their website indicates that they give free cleanings on Wednesdays to those with no insurance (wish we’d known before!), my civic-​minded sentimentalities are in awe, and 2. When we were there, a patient arrived all the way from Brooklyn. You know it’s good when someone travels from Brooklyn to Queens on a weekday for a dentist appointment. I cannot give enough praise, I would recommend this practice to anyone!

I will be the saddest girl on this earth when Dr. Wolfson’s hands give out, let me tell you.

Wouldn’t go back if my dental health depended on it. Went with a cracked tooth and paid $ 100 for a 5-​minute consultation where I was told to get it pulled, have a bridge, flipper or get braces. Didn’t explain anything in detail, just drew a few sketches on a sheet of paper and said «good luck» when I left.
Plus, the photos of his family and numerous exotic vacations on the wall? Talk about ego.

My neighborhood dentist. He is pretty good. Office is small and cramped but the staff is great. His wife is the office manager and makes me feel comfortable. Dr. Wolfson did my crown and no one can tell. It did take a while for him to finish, but that was because he’s a perfectionist.

I’ve never really minded going to the dentist, but I can’t say I’ve ever had a dentist who I actually liked, who I felt were doing just an amazing job.
Until this last month.
I’ve had great results here. First off, everyone is very friendly from the dentists to the hygienists, to the receptionists. The co-​pay here for a cleaning was higher than another dentist, but that’s because they did a deep cleaning, which was superfast, thorough, and left me with a much nicer smile than when I came in. They also did the most extensive x-​rays of my teeth, and performed an excellent whitening filling for a good price while other dentists told me that it would cost a prohibitive $ 1000 even with insurance. The only drawback to coming here has been the long waits, but the fast, excellent service more than evens it all out.
I like my dentists!
